Ear candy...such a rare treat.
"Statesboro Blues" is the first track on this album and is a must listen. Duane and Dickey both have amazing solos.
The good ole days
Insane slide by Duane. Nobody did it better. And when Greg sang the blues he was, as B B King would say, "believin' ". Amazingly enough I've never heard the live version of this one so thanks for reacting. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to eat a peach
Idlewild South is ABB's second LP.
I highly recommend the opener to the album, "Revival". Man, it takes you to church. Written by Dicky Betts.
Great slide guitar by Duane.
This album, Lou Reed 'rock &roll animal ' and blue oyster cult 'on your feet or on your knees ' are still my top 3 live albums.
I love those! My favorite is Rolling Stones Get Yer Yayas Out.
The greatest live album ever recorded. Listen to it all. Best of the best.✌️❤️🎶
Agreed!!
This album is preserved in the library of Congress
Hardly ever see reactions to my favorite Allman Bros. song. So damn good.
ABB ~ 🎶 🐐 Da GOATS!
Gregg - Vocals, Organ
Duane - Guitar
Dickey Betts - Guitar
Barry Oakley- Bass
Jaimoe Johanson- Drums
Butch Trucks- Drums
Thom Doucette - harmonica.
Allman Brothers yeah! Always great , thanks Biz.
wow, Berry Oakley was a very funky bass player
Great album Biz, Stormy Monday & You Dont Love Me are great tracks as well
Yes! This is the album to do 👍 their second album is Idlewild South 🔥 another banger
ABB weren't just up there, they were the pinnacle.
Iconic Live Album, all the way thru.
I have loved the Allman Brothers since I first heard this album. Think I was 13 when it came out. I saw them many times at the Beacon in NYC, including their farewell tour. Best show was 2013. Never saw the original lineup but the ending one with the Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes and Oteil Burbridge with the 3 remaining originals was fire! I always enjoy discovering new music Biz and a few years ago, I heard a cover of this song by The Slide Brothers, a Robert Randolph discovery. Their album is fire, you should check it out Biz
Never mind which album just keep them coming brother all great🔥👏🏼👍🏻
RIP Almond Brothers ... Gone but never forgotten .. Not many days go by that i dont jam with the Brothers ..
Must've done somebody wrong is 🔥
Masterpiece ❤RIP brothers 🙏 thanks for your brilliant music 🎶 this song is dope 👌
Sweet Sweet Music. Great choice Great reaction Biz 😎
Biz, I was here
The two Allman Brothers album I own are "Live at the Fillmore" and "Eat a Peach". There are others just a good I'm sure, but these two albums seem to keep me satified. Both of these albums are perfect from start to finish, each song - soulful and rockin. "Fillmore" features Duane allman on guitar, but "Peach" was recorded after Duane was killed in a motorcycle accident - such a loss . Allman Brothers Band are the GOATs for Southern Rock IMO.
Same album …”You Don’t Love Me” it’s a must ✌️
No Skips
This song is very different than anything ,it is a bit of key and funky,, Idlewild is the 2nd album and yes the live being the third that made them famous and Eat A Peach is next ....
Love Duane
Lots of great musicians and great guitar players. Duane? Unforgettable!!!
Another "Deeper Cut" that's undeniably worthy of consideration, Biz ...
MAGIC 🎩 Gregg was the greatest blues singer of all time baby
The Paul Butterfield Band - East West.... Listen to it, react to it..
Or anything with Michael Bloomfield playing guitar
@@kraig7777 absolutely !
Somebody blew a harmonica on there didn't they?
Oh yep... Just heard it again. I'm not sure who did that.
It's hard to pick out because the slide guitar sounds just like a harmonica in some places but you can def hear it!
Thom Doucette.
@@kraig7777 I read that Duane based his slide playing on harmonica players.
@@billspencer9430 That is cool. I'd like to say I base my harmonica playing on Duane Allman but I'm not that good lol.
Play that Slide bubba
