  • This one has been in the backlog to make for a bit, But this wasn't the planned video for today - I was meant to release a Sheffield Supertram video. Unfortunately, I had a power cut in my area last night, and I ended up losing all the progress, So I decided to make this instead. Enjoy a ride along the wonderful Furness Railway :)

Another issue for coastal scenery is tide planning.
In my travels round the country, I've long noticed the huge difference in the appeal of hide tide compared to low.
So I now get the tables annually from QuickTide in Bristol.
Even for my own city, it makes for so much more interesting, especially when showing foreign visitor friends around.

There certainly are some spectacular views along this line, and the trains are always busy in summer

This train was no exception to being busy, It was intensely busy up until Silverdale, hence why I couldn’t sit at a window.

Yes, I have considered this before.
When anyone is doing a professional video expecting good audience figures, you either need to reserve your seat, or ensure to be early at the departure station of the route.
It's a totally different ball game when doing anything with professional expectations.
TV and film crews can often remain in just one situ, all day if necessary, waiting for the right amount of sun or shadow to emerge from a passing cloud.

This route doesn't have reservations - It would've in TPE days though

Spectacular views. I plan on going to Cumbria via the Settle and Carlisle Railway.
