I love the sound of the ridged sleeves (ASMR) and I also think that the ridge will hold a collar more tightly. I've got a black zinc Ohio power bar and I don't really like the knurling (not sharp enough). I guess that means this one is not my cup of tea. I probably should have gotten a cerakote or stainless OPB. Probably breaking the $350 for that one, though.
Nice descriptions on the knurling. I (the youtube person operating this account) am learning to lift with our fitness expert here at Sunny. Being a tiny 5ft woman, I'm starting to get excited on picking up this skill. Thanks for explaining all the differences between the features. 👍
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have a bare steel OPB and I really like the patina and the feel of bare steel. I also have a Vulcan Standard bushing bar and the bright zinc finish is holding up great.
I was really suspect about the knurl, but it’s almost like the idea of putting a ballon on a single nail vs a bed of nails. With so many points you get a positive grip without nearly as much tearing. Def tore up my hands less than an Ohio PB. I also squat high bar but was hoping for at least a little more bite on the center knurl.
Do you think it also depends on how much you're squating? Maybe more weight pushes it down more, maybe with more weight you want more grip. I can't say its ever been an issue for me, but I'm only in the 120 140 kg range.
I haven't personally tried it, Steven, but I would love to get my hands on one soon. I'll let you know if I do, or if I see something out there that would help you
What's your favorite power bar under $350?

So far this one. I plan on buying the I Sell Fitness Power Bar soon. Hopefully it will weigh at least 20kg

Good looking bar and solid review dude.
Brandon Campbell Diamond thanks, bud! Appreciate you checking it out as always!
I love this community. Wish I found it sooner, but at least I found it. Y'all are so wholesome and supportive of one another.
I always low bar but sometimes the middle knurl kills my upper back so it being more passive sounds good to me . Looks great man!
Thanks for watching, brother! This one might be a good option for you!
