This summerI rented a VW Golf 1.4 automatic, diesel, 7 speed dual clutch, for two weeks. one week into this i gut rear ended by the guy who had 2 beers, or so he that claimed. Anyway, my replacement car was Ford Puma, 1 l, 4 cylinder hybrid, automatic. VW generated fuel economy was 4.5 L at 100 Kilometers. Ford generated their best economy at 7.2 L at 100 km's. So for all the concerned, something to think about it. I mean car has everything the VW has , but the fuel savings , in may case did not materialize.

I have a fiesta hybrid. Slightly faster because is lighter, better aero because sits closer to the ground.
