Great review, I have both tablets in my cart right now. I think I'm gonna go with the S9+, the Ultra is nice, but damn it's just a bit too big when I want to take it with me everywhere.
I made almost the same: I bought both and also the regular S9, to decide later, at home, thinking calmly... But I think that I'll also decide to stay with the S9-Plus.
I did buy the S9 but my mind kept telling me get the S9+ and I couldn’t help it anymore so I’m returning the S9 that I haven’t opened as of yet since it might be too small for me coming form an iPad Pro 12.9 and yes that Ultra looks awesome but it’s just way too big for those that want to carry it around all over the place lol…also those with the S9 and S9+ will have a better PPI making the screen look even more clearer than the Ultra so keep that in mind!
Got myself a plus one, and it is nearly to big for normal content consumption. Ultra is actually a stationary device. The weight of plus is already bad if you just read something using one hand, especially with a keyboard cover, but even bare device is not manageable in a long run. So, if you looking for a stationary tablet ultra would be great, but if you want to use tablet as tablet, s9 or s9 plus is more than enough.

Hi, can somebody share its experience with the ultra? I am afraid that it could be too big. I would use it for media consumption, studying and to take notes at work.
Trading my S8U for a S9+. Found the S8U too awkward, unless just using it on a desk like a laptop. Too big for anything else IMO. The notch also bugged. Felt like I was using a giant iPhone. Mainly joking there.
I am also wondering about the size .. I am confused between the Tab S9 and the Tab S9 Plus, and I am a medical student who needs a tablet that I can study on while I am walking.. plz give me a hint to choose the best for me
Both are good for media consumption so I would choose based on other factors. Do you use apps with lots of UI, do you use SamsungDex often, do you use it as wireless display often. And all that will be better on 14.6 inch
I just picked up the S9, coming from the S7+. I was a bit worried about downsizing, though the price I paid was too good to pass on. I'd say it's perfect for the use case you mentioned for the portability, I'm using the book cover keyboard with it too - it is noticeably smaller especially in landscape. If you wanted more of a 'Media Tablet' I'd say definitely go with the plus model.
Depends on what PDFs you read and how often. Text in PDFs cannot be resized so usually bigger displays work better with PDFs. For reading comics from Kindle, text is still big enough with 11 inch tablets. For writing, it does not matter which size as 11 inch is good size for taking notes too
I actually moved from the S7 + down to the 11 inch S9. I find 11 inches to be the more comfortable form factor and size for note taking as it very closely relates to the size of an actual piece of paper. I have these opinions after having used the S7+ for 2 years, one of which was a full year of university. sometimes I felt like the footprint of the + model was too large to comfortably write on, especially on smaller desks. Bigger is not always better.
Very good comparison. 👍 Many thanks for your work. The s9+ looks slightly paler in the text display compared to the s9U? Or is this due to the higher pixel density and the smaller display on the S9+?
It's OLED so it will have good colour support. You can tweak the colours and colour temperature from the settings. Colour calibrator is not possible with hardware because there are no colour calibrators that I know of that work with Android.

Went to the store planning to buy the ultra but decided on the plus once i got there. The ultra is massive, lol. Can't imagine using that laying in bed.

I have a question when it comes to screen brightness - is there a big difference between the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra? Well, I'm thinking about buying a Galaxy Tab S9+ or a Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. I often watch movies on a tablet in the car and that's why I need a bright screen
I know s9 + is the biggest compared to other brands in the market. But it looks too small in front of ultra. I'm having doubts if I should go for ultra. Because I'm having feeling now s9+ is too small. What should I do? Will s9+ be good for drawing and arts stuff?
They are all good for drawing. The bigger tablet will benefit work that requires larger display, e.g. split screen more, using SamsungDex on the tablet and not on external display, use with apps with lots of user interface, e.g. Clip Studio Paint S9 Ultra will feel like a laptop.
i know it's going to be a stupid question but i want to ask something. my main purpose for buying this tablet is to play games. i play "genshin impact" and "project sekai" usually. is s9 ultra too big to play such games? s9 plus is also a pretty big tablet but it seemed small to me next to the ultra (sorry for my bad english)
@@teohontech7141 Thanks. How unwieldy is the Ultra compared to the Plus? I'm being torn between the 2 of them. I carry my tablet around ALOT but I really really crave that screen real estate on the Ultra.
@@akinorigou551 I feel the Ultra is worth if it you use apps that utilise the large display, and if you use wireless external display mode, or SamsungDex often. Otherwise the Plus model is good enough.
You know, I was bummed when a 5g model wasn't available at the time I bought my s9 ultra, but honestly, I don't think I'm going to miss it. My phone plan already has unlimited data, and allows me to do Hotspot tethering from the phone, plus my zfold5 pairs with the new tablet, which allows me to make call, video calls, and texts from my tablet as long as they're on the same network (which can be achieved anywhere with hotpotting). So as long as I have my phone, I don't need to pay extra a month for another line. I've always got my phone on me, and if I need both, there's just no reason for the extra monthly cost.

MS Office apps on Android tablets are not full desktop versions and hence some features will not be available.
@@teohontech7141 Thanks but O365 is a web application not desktop, just wondered what the experience is like. Would be interested to see a short video if you ever make one.
Is the S9+ screen more saturated than the ultra? The ultra looks a little washed out compared to the plus
They have the same colour vibrance. The difference could be from my camera angle, or maybe I did not set the colour mode to match, e.g. vibrant vs natural.
lets talk processors. what processor is used, what version is bluetooth.
I totally forgot to mention that because nowadays tablets are so powerful there are many tablet apps that these tablets cannot run smoothly
samsung dex is next level
Went to the store planning to buy the ultra but decided on the plus once i got there. The ultra is massive, lol. Can't imagine using that laying in bed.
I'm in the same dilemma now. I'm torn between S9+ and the S9 ultra. What stores have them on display
@@thomassankara2857grocery store 😊
@@thomassankara2857lol same here ... its only for preorder in Morocco so have no clue how'it feels in hand 😅
Did u get urs ?
Hi, nice comparison video. Please help. I also got my S9+ tab yesterday. Could you please check if you're getting Wifi6E in device info, cuz mine for some reaon isn't showing wifi6E 6GHz support. Please let me know.
Is the screen quality same (tab s9, s9plus, s9 ultra ) ?
Yes
Which one sounds better?? Or both are same in loud and clarity??
They are both loud and clear. I can't hear much difference. The audio quality is really good so it's very unlikely for people to be dissatisfied.
Thank you for the reply...
Without watching the whole video Ultra is way better. That's shrimp. Small tablet cannot beat the ultra. It's like playing with basketball with someone. Who is shorts you always win Not in my house, not in my house😅😅
Hum... Why, though? Big screen is good, but you're overrating it.
@lucascamelo3079 it's more features on the bigger tablet, and it's a bigger tablet, two good things about the tablet, the battery life, it's good and the sound of the tablet when you're watching movies or watching RUclips sounds amazing. I've never had the plus before. I only had a seven, and now I got the nine ultra
Hi.. I just get my Tab S9+ unit. After a few hours of usage I noticed on screen off 1 tap will show the fingerprint area, right? But there is 1 hair line thin white line flicker once horizontally in the middle while the fingerprint area showing. Are your unit also have same issue? Thank you
UPDATE: You need to check it on dark room, because the like is only around 1-2px thin, but long
I don't see anything. For me it's just the fingerprint image
Thank you for the respond, I may just visit the service center
Which game is the second one? Looks like PG
Genshin Impact
I have a question when it comes to screen brightness - is there a big difference between the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra? Well, I'm thinking about buying a Galaxy Tab S9+ or a Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. I often watch movies on a tablet in the car and that's why I need a bright screen
i like the frame size of s9+
but i bought 256gb storage do you think it's enough?
256GB should be enough. There is microSD card slot too
Can I use What’s App application (without linking phone- that link device option) in Tab S9 5G
You need cellular and SIM card to use whatsapp. Otherwise you can only use Web Whatsapp
@@teohontech7141 but I've Tab S7LTE and there's only Web WhatsApp (through QR scan by phone) available that's why I'm asking... maybe s9 5G have it...
this is timely!
Clip Studio Paint
S9 Ultra will feel like a laptop.
Suggestion to correct delete button otherwise everything deleted from left to right.😢
Can i make me high and pc on Ultra?
Are we buying a tablet or a TV? I'm confused.
Well, you can think of this as a mini portable TV that can do more than what TV can do.
i know it's going to be a stupid question but i want to ask something. my main purpose for buying this tablet is to play games. i play "genshin impact" and "project sekai" usually. is s9 ultra too big to play such games? s9 plus is also a pretty big tablet but it seemed small to me next to the ultra
(sorry for my bad english)
Gaming on big screen is enjoyable. But I actually don’t play tablet games except for these reviews.
Thanks man I was looking forward for this comparison 🙌🏻. Do you have the link for the stands that you used to compare them on Dex Mode?
It's this link and the smaller usd 40 universal stand www.parkablogs.com/content/review-samsung-tab-s8-ultra-magnetic-stand-lululook
Can you make a comparison where you open pdf files (textbook, books,...) in portrait mode?
PDFs should look alright on the 12.4-inch. But on the 11-inch, text may look smaller because you cannot adjust text size in PDFs.
Thanx ❤
The plus is more portable yes, but the bigger Ultra is better display and viewing content experience. I've had both and the Ultra is better.
The question is not which one is better , but which one is more suitable for you ?
It may just be me but the 12 inch ones display looks better.
Hopefully they will have 5g for the ultra tablet soon in the states 😊
The only reason to get that Ultra is of youre using it with a keyboard case and plan on replacing a Laptop with it...otherwise its too big .
Not at all. Laying down on the couch holding it is an excellent experience. Not too heavy and beautiful display.
wish the ultra version is slightly smaller example just 14inch instead of 14.6
You know, I was bummed when a 5g model wasn't available at the time I bought my s9 ultra, but honestly, I don't think I'm going to miss it.
I have s8 plus wll upgarde to s10 or s11 as power incraeses
Waiting for S10's release this October to have a better price for S9 ultra. 😂
Ultrasound great ❤❤❤❤
Some games have customization on buttons
so no 5g?
5G models are available only in selected regions/countries.
Interesting.
O Galaxy ultra tem que ter o controle sem fio para jogos muito mas aproveitável a jogatina
Uns pregunta y la plus si tiene ese controlador para el mando?

I got the s9 plus. Th ultra is just way too big, mainly when used while traveling on the NYC subway as I do every day.
