Great review, I have both tablets in my cart right now. I think I'm gonna go with the S9+, the Ultra is nice, but damn it's just a bit too big when I want to take it with me everywhere.
I made almost the same: I bought both and also the regular S9, to decide later, at home, thinking calmly... But I think that I'll also decide to stay with the S9-Plus.
I did buy the S9 but my mind kept telling me get the S9+ and I couldn’t help it anymore so I’m returning the S9 that I haven’t opened as of yet since it might be too small for me coming form an iPad Pro 12.9 and yes that Ultra looks awesome but it’s just way too big for those that want to carry it around all over the place lol…also those with the S9 and S9+ will have a better PPI making the screen look even more clearer than the Ultra so keep that in mind!
Got myself a plus one, and it is nearly to big for normal content consumption. Ultra is actually a stationary device. The weight of plus is already bad if you just read something using one hand, especially with a keyboard cover, but even bare device is not manageable in a long run. So, if you looking for a stationary tablet ultra would be great, but if you want to use tablet as tablet, s9 or s9 plus is more than enough.

The s9 plus is noticeably more expensive in my country. I don't know if 300 dollars more is worth it compared to the 11 inch model. Clip studio new minimal Ui is making me consider the downsize.
Both sizes have good amount of space for note taking. So I would choose based on other factors. Do you open split screen apps while taking notes, do you use SamsungDex often, do you use it as wireless display often. All that will be better on bigger display.
I actually moved from the S7 + down to the 11 inch S9. I find 11 inches to be the more comfortable form factor and size for note taking as it very closely relates to the size of an actual piece of paper. I have these opinions after having used the S7+ for 2 years, one of which was a full year of university. sometimes I felt like the footprint of the + model was too large to comfortably write on, especially on smaller desks. Bigger is not always better.
@EifDan true. I believe this is why Samsung decided not to put the S9+ on display in stores. Best Buy only displays the S9 and the S9 Ultra but not the S9+ to avoid screen comparison.
s9+ is definitely better regardless of what the reviewer says. Imagine watching a movie from your bed, or any other place than being sitting in front of a desktop. With S9 ultra is really uncomfortable. Functionality of a S9 ultra is easily replaceable by any laptop 😅
The price just destroys this product. Compared to an iPad Air 5 or mini or normal iPad or even the „pro“ 11“ it’s too expensive. I just want android Tablets to get more mainstream and therefore more developers care about optimized software. But with those prices the - only android tablet that’s actually good is way too expensive. Even the google pixel Tablet can’t keep up with this (pen, Samsung apps). But it’s double in price…

Trading my S8U for a S9+. Found the S8U too awkward, unless just using it on a desk like a laptop. Too big for anything else IMO. The notch also bugged. Felt like I was using a giant iPhone. Mainly joking there.

@@akinorigou551 I feel the Ultra is worth if it you use apps that utilise the large display, and if you use wireless external display mode, or SamsungDex often. Otherwise the Plus model is good enough.
Can I use What’s App application (without linking phone- that link device option) in Tab S9 5G
You need cellular and SIM card to use whatsapp. Otherwise you can only use Web Whatsapp
@@teohontech7141 but I've Tab S7LTE and there's only Web WhatsApp (through QR scan by phone) available that's why I'm asking... maybe s9 5G have it...
I have s8 plus wll upgarde to s10 or s11 as power incraeses
The s9 plus is noticeably more expensive in my country. I don't know if 300 dollars more is worth it compared to the 11 inch model. Clip studio new minimal Ui is making me consider the downsize.
I don't think the bigger size is worth $300 more which is too expensive. CSP Simple Mode works great on smaller tablets.
Thanks for not mentioning what country you're in
Is it really the s9+ . Not just s9 ? Didnt recall it is that small ?😅
It looks small only because the Ultra is huge. S9 is even smaller.
Fan from india
Para a solução da tela é... só aumentar a DPI! Simples! 😅
so no 5g?
5G models are available only in selected regions/countries.
The tablet is very responsive
I'm a teacher. Note taking is the only work I do. Which one should I buy? S9 or S9+?
I would recommend the plus, since it has to be more comfortable to write
Bigger is not always better.
i cant load infinite painter on s9
What do you mean cannot load? Can install but cannot launch?
Is the Ultra wi-fi only or is there a mobile plan version?
There's Wifi and cellular options
There's no cellular options for ultra when I bought mine. I really wanted the cellular though
Im just curious how to get a free Samsung Tab s9 ultra 😭😭
I bought it
@@teohontech7141 bruh I was just joking😂...
I have the 1TB S9 Ultra. I didn't even consider the smaller S9s.
Well woopdeedoo
@@ljink48😂
same here though I really wanted the 5G on the s9 plus
I dont know if anyone noticed, the s9 plus has a yellowish screens compared to the s9 ultra.
I've noticed this and it is bugging me. I prefer the s9+ size but the whites look true white on the ultra.
@EifDan true. I believe this is why Samsung decided not to put the S9+ on display in stores. Best Buy only displays the S9 and the S9 Ultra but not the S9+ to avoid screen comparison.
@@thomassankara2857wow? Really?
s9+ is definitely better regardless of what the reviewer says. Imagine watching a movie from your bed, or any other place than being sitting in front of a desktop. With S9 ultra is really uncomfortable. Functionality of a S9 ultra is easily replaceable by any laptop 😅
No.
Looks like s9+ bezels are wider than the s9 ultra
They are bigger
when the xiaomi pad 6? 😔
Maybe next week
So in conclusion, the bigger tablet is bigger. Thank you for this comparison. 😂
Your hand gestures are really annoying to me.
then don't watch???
The price just destroys this product. Compared to an iPad Air 5 or mini or normal iPad or even the „pro“ 11“ it’s too expensive.
I just want android Tablets to get more mainstream and therefore more developers care about optimized software. But with those prices the - only android tablet that’s actually good is way too expensive.
Even the google pixel Tablet can’t keep up with this (pen, Samsung apps). But it’s double in price…
You can get the same amount of content displayed on the S9+ as the S9U by increasing the Minimum Display in Developer Mode.
How
I'm a steel detailer draftsman, I use my Ultra to mark up and quote engineering pdf's its absolutely awesome way to work, and it killed my printer and a collection of highlighters lol
This is the review I have been looking for! I myself am 'n detailer and was looking for a comment like this!
Thanks for this review. Deciding between ultra and plus and i think i will go for plus after this review. Heck im also thinking about base model. Im replacing old S6.
I was afraid that the lower ppi could lead to fewer visible content, but doesnt seems the case. Bought S9U, but havent arrived yet. I'm mainly using it for muktitasking (pdf reading/lecture watching + notetaking) and media consumption (RUclips, netflix and comics). For the "on the go" I already have the Galaxy Fold 4 😊
This is exactly what I am looking for! Something larger to complement my fold 4. How are you finding the ultra alongside the fold?
@St3veWright how you finding yours? Going to order ultra this week myself to condiment my fold also
Battery backup ?
Hi please can u do a comparison of how apps look bw iPads and Samsung or Android i know u have done a similar video previously but i want to know how Android apps have evolved since then since Google did a huge improvement in Android 14 for large screens
Tenho o Galaxy Tab S3 4g 6 anos de uso 🤳🌎🇧🇷💪
I got the plus because it's big but not huge like the ultra and the plus can also be used for drawing or other things of that nature but it's not too big where gaming would be uncomfortable.
The plus is more portable yes, but the bigger Ultra is better display and viewing content experience. I've had both and the Ultra is better.
The question is not which one is better , but which one is more suitable for you ?
Trading my S8U for a S9+. Found the S8U too awkward, unless just using it on a desk like a laptop. Too big for anything else IMO. The notch also bugged. Felt like I was using a giant iPhone. Mainly joking there.
I am also wondering about the size .. I am confused between the Tab S9 and the Tab S9 Plus, and I am a medical student who needs a tablet that I can study on while I am walking.. plz give me a hint to choose the best for me
Get the bigger one if you use often split screen mode, samsungdex, wireless display mode.
Hi, nice comparison video. Please help. I also got my S9+ tab yesterday. Could you please check if you're getting Wifi6E in device info, cuz mine for some reaon isn't showing wifi6E 6GHz support. Please let me know.
which app do you use for note taking?
Nebo, Concepts
Waiting for S10's release this October to have a better price for S9 ultra. 😂
When it comes to the gaming portion of that it was very misleading. Like literally just go to the options menu instead of using defaults……
ALLLLLLMOOOOOOSSTTTTT not all but almost all games with controller support also have accessibility options to move the controls to better fit the screen and your hand size 🙃
The only reason to get that Ultra is of youre using it with a keyboard case and plan on replacing a Laptop with it...otherwise its too big .
Not at all. Laying down on the couch holding it is an excellent experience. Not too heavy and beautiful display.
what is the app at note taking?
oh! concepts..
