You can’t be more ruthless than Firelord Sozin. His ambition started the Hundred Years’ War. He committed the Genocide of a Nation of Airbenders , he pretended to help Roku on the volcano but allowed and watch his best friend die and his descendants followed his lead to continue the war until Zuko became Firelord. Damn the named the comet after Sozin ! He should have been number one.

I hear that the voice actress who played Azula nearly went insane when she did her final freakout moment for the final season. Hence why she'll never, EVER, watch the final episode of the show.
If Unalaq isn't Number 1 we riot (unless Vaatu is there). Screw dominating the world or burning a city, he wanted dark spirits to run rampant and bring about a new dark age of chaos and death. WAY out of Ozai's paygrade.

That is why TLOK getting rid of the full moon prerequisite of blood-bending broke the series. Waterbenders became the strongest benders no ifs or buts, easily taking on an avatar in base form. That is just stupid
Not Unalaq as the Dark Avatar. It's been shown Avatars can just flex away Bloodbending with the avatar state, and Unalaq moreso as he is exclusively a waterbender. Avatars are bar none the strongest characters in the verse.

@@Akatsukileader9 as I said in base form. Also, a skilled bloodbender might still take down an Avatar, especially considering you can be killed in Avatar state and it would be permadeath. Azula almost took him down, Bloodbender under the right circumstances could do just that

All ima say bout Ozai, is he called himself the most powerful fire bender, but I ain’t ever seen him fight anyone who finished puberty.
For me Zahir was the most intimidating and threatening villain overall. And he was very close to destroying the Avatar.

I agree with the majority of the list, but Zaheer would be in the #3 spot over Amon. Love Zaheer. One of my favorite villains. And I think he had lasting effects on Korra. What he did carries over into season 4.

What would have happened if we saw Zuko defeating his sister with what he learnt from the Sun warriors instead of Katara doing it for him? How did Zuko become Firelord if he didn't win the agni Kai against his sister?

I’ve only been able to see the first two episodes but I will say this so far. It’s everything I’ve ever dreamed of and more. There was a few times I was so overwhelmed with Joy and Happiness I started to tear up. Never has that ever happened for me. That’s how I know the Avatar will always have a special place in my heart.
Aang did fly when he was in the avatar state. Which was the only time he let go of earthly possessions.

I can't remember correctly, but I think that Azula has a redemption arc in one of the comics, or one that's in progress. Something like that.
I love this list, but my #1 would have been Fire Lord Sozen as he wiped out the Air Benders and started the war. Just have everybody drop a spot and put Sozen as #1.

He isn’t the only one to combustion bend. There’s a character in the red lotus in the legend of Korra who combustion bends, and at a higher proficiency at that. But I don’t think they ever tell combustion man’s backstory in the show.
