I took art materials round to my local special school for their student gift appeal. Lovely to know they will make the day of some child. Thanks for the reminder to do these kind things

Before I was a primary and nursery teacher I was a psychiatric nurse. I worked in areas of extreme deprivation and you can imagine that my former career often informed the latter

It works great having to do every other day (increased anticipation is such a lovely part of the holidays) and everyone has put so much thought and effort into the lovely little gems for each of the 12 days. Love your outfit and we have a local food bank that we regularly donate to and I’m currently making a scrap quilt for the local school nursery baby unit so when they take the babies to the park they can spread it out for them to lie on - obviously when the weather is warmer 😁

Hi Sam I regularly donate to my local foodbank I've also sorted through my grandchildrens toys that they don't play with ready for the charity shop ps loved your outfit

I put an ice cube in my morning tea so I can drink it quickly. We use Hydro Flask for travel coffee mugs so my hubby puts Three (yes 3!) ice cubes in his morning coffee 🙄 since he wants to drink it quickly. I like to sip my coffee so I don't want it to cool off.
We donate to our local food back and as I clean and sort, I put things I don't need anymore in a bag for donation. We do this year round
That is so lovely to hear that you are a regular donator. Interesting idea if ice cubes.
Hi, love the outfit you are wearing today. I also have Beckys advent calendar and the labels are gorgeous. I agree with adding a drop of cold water to a herbal tea to help cool it down.

It's always a bit of extra fun when my favorite vloggers are interacting in some way. I'm a big fan of Teresa's too. I've been watching while sewing or doing other things, so not able to comment as often. I really love the cozy way you celebrate, the emphasis on family and friends, and sharing what you can with others. You, dear lady, are a glimmer, and I really appreciate the heart and creativity you share with all of us. I'll be watching all the vlogs and keeping track of those words. I'd have watched them all anyway, but it's fun to participate. I hope you and yours have a fabulous holiday season.

I love to guzzle my drinks as I can’t stand slurping and waiting. I’d suggest you add the cool water after the boiling water so that you get the best from your teabag. Coffee is different, don’t poor boiling water onto coffee, it needs to be about 94 c so add water or milk first. I’ve been this since I started working for the NHS as there’s little time to waste waiting for something to cool and if you leave it unaccompanied it either goes cold or some else acquires it….

I make herbal teas for my husband ..sometimes put cold water in AFTER it’s been steeped a while in boiling water ..taste stronger ?
