    I'm still trying to figure out why this band still hasn't gotten the respect they deserve. Massively underrated, MASSIVELY.

    • @Isojoki
      @Isojoki 9 лет назад +2

      ***** Yeah, that could have something to do with it. But there were so many other bands from that era that were much more popular but half as talented and original as Candiria.

      It has a ring and is a dick.
      It's funny and has rebel value.
      In essence, it takes more for listeners to get wood. Plus its spelled with a Z. Comon. It's win win win win

      this band helped me grow up, hearing them first was 'this is not possible'. I found them from DEP but hearing bands other than DEP that were doin crazy shit, man... love this band. Its one of those bands you get jealous and hate them for being so talented but still love, if you know what I mean.

    I first heard of Candiria thanks to MTV. No shit, MTV is the reason I discovered Candiria. It was a "you hear it first" segment before a commercial break. It was only a minute or two, but I immediately went out and bought 300 Percent Density and spent the next few years trying to fully analyze and understand the music. That started it all for me.
    Thanks MTV?

    This takes me right back to high school. I still remember someone introducing me to “Beyond a Reasonable Doubt”. Also, I don’t care what anyone says, the “What Doesn’t Kill You” record may be different but it’s still amazing.

    The most under-rated group of all-time. They influenced every source of heavy material out there. They still are unique and the coolest shit out there. People need to fucking pay attention to them and keep there fire lit. I love all genres of music, everything underneath the sun and they do every style amazingly. Keep that Brook-city train going Candiria.

    I purchased ‘The Process of Self Development’ in Vegas at Balcony Lights back in like 99/00 and the breakdown on ‘Three Times Again’ gave me chills, still does. One of the baddest breakdowns ever. I used to (pre internet and easy access) spend hours going to bands sites and record label sites to look at tour dates to see bands coming through town. Used to go to Candiria’s website all the time. When you went they had the breakdown for a period of time as the music when you enter the website. I used to go to the website so I could just listen to that breakdown lol. Amazing band. Living in Vegas Ive only, since ‘99 got to see them once, but it was memorable. 2002 Clutch, Biohazard, Candiria. Will never forget that show. Me and like 9 other hardcore kids there for Candiria opening the show dancing at the House of Blues to an empty floor. The guys of Candiria loved our intensity. Me, a 16 year old with like 9 30-50 year old old school Hc Kids who knew what was up. Where was everyone else in the Vegas HC scene? Who knows, but we had that floor for 5-6 songs and it was a great. There’s my story about Candiria lol.

    These guys were a huge inspiration on me, specially Ken's style of drumming i was one of the lucky ones to see them every time they played in NY lol..so much that that they recognized me enough to invite me to their van and smoke weed. i discover them through a tape some of my friends were passing around, then i heard "Temple of sickness" on WSOU, my first show was at CBGB's and at that time there was nothing like them in the Hard Core/Metal scene, needless to say my jaw dropped and here i am still listening to them..I still run into John and Carley mostly randomly.
