As a Dodger fan, I can tell you that Bellinger is as talented as they come, but frustrating as being poured hot coffee in hell. After he blew out his shoulder during a really dumb and career-changing celebration, he changed his batting stance & swing, lost discipline of the K-zone and seemed to try for a 5-run home run regardless if the bases were empty. With that short RF porch in Yankee Stadium, I bet Bellinger becomes pull happy and make less of an effort to hit to the opposite field. One good thing about him though is he never seemed to let his struggles at the plate affect his defense in the field.

Agree. I was upset when Soto bailed. But the more I think about it... and the more I am seeing this off-season... yeah. I'm thinking we are going to be a better Team. And much more balanced. We'll see if it actually happens, and if we're better... how much better? We need one more big-time bat... and strategic position player. CF/LF/1B/3B. Put Jazz at 2B. Possibly Peraza takes over at 3rd - unless they can grab a big-time 3B. And then yeah. Same with Bellinger - CF or 1B depending on who else they get. We'll have Top-3 Starting Staff in MLB. Best Bull-Pen in MLB. Now.. finish rebuilding the Offense. 1 more Hitter. Then we've got killer balance.

Rich, believe me... the Yankees got the best part of the Soto to the Mets deal. Mets fans are delusional right now, they won't even come in 2nd in the NL East. With Acuna and Strider coming back this year, it'll be Philly and Atlanta atop the division. Maybe Soto can hit .290 again with 35 HRs, but that'll be it. Then IF the make the play-offs, they have to go through the aforementioned division rivals as well as the Padres and ultimately the Dodgers, who are going to win it all again. The Yankees have a clearer path to the WS than the Mets. The Yanks will be just fine, if not better, this season without overrated Soto.

The Yankees won more games than the Mets, made it further than the Mets, and have a more well-rounded roster than the Mets.

His name is CODY and with a gold glove, he doesnt fumble the ball in the OF like John Dotto - the overpaid DH

Belli has sliding power numbers, if you're going to pitch that Belli might get a boost by taking advantage of the short porch in right, then okay, but he's basically a .250-.260 hitter with the ability to crush mistakes left over the plate but is also prone to striking out a lot and injury prone, but a gold glove level centerfielder, I mean I think the Yankees got a steal but without another power bat in the lineup the Yankees are weaker offensively then they were last season and they will rely on a deeper rotation and new closer to bridge the gap.
