    I am a Dodger fan. Smart move by Yankees defensively. Bellinger to centerfield where as Dodger fans we saw him cover a ton of territory and help lower pitchers' eras. Aaron Judge can go back to his natural right field now that Soto is gone.

    • @snerdterguson
      @snerdterguson Месяц назад +3

      Judge being able to go back to the gut is the part of this that isn't talked about enough. He was OK in center, given his size and not great speed. But in right, he's actually a plus defender. With less ground to cover, he can basically get to everything, he's got the cannon still and I don't know that I've ever seen anyone better at robbing homers than he is. Looking forward to seeing him back where he belongs. And looking forward to seeing Cody. I hope his fathers old number is available, that would be cool.

  • @SakAttack87
    @SakAttack87 Месяц назад +5

    Yanks still have some big holes to fill, but anybody hating on this deal is insane especially when you look at what they gave up.
    Most realistic people aren't expecting him to magically return to his prime 2019 form, but if he can stay on the field a healthy Bellinger hitting in front of Judge and playing half his games at Yankee Stadium should be a lock for 30 HR.
    He also has a solid glove in the outfield although it's still unsure where he'll play exactly.

  • @ConnorMiller417
    @ConnorMiller417 Месяц назад +21

    I’ve been saying for years that Bellinger would fit perfectly at Yankee Stadium. His pulling power is amazing and he’s an elite outfielder. Granted, he’s no Juan Soto by any means but putting him to bat in front of Judge and Stanton is definitely a huge boost to the lineup.

    • @MrJrolon1975
      @MrJrolon1975 Месяц назад +8

      Respect for being fair.
      This trade will really show which people are just Cashman haters. Because any Yankee fan whining about this move is just hating Cashman as a matter of course. With where contracts are going, 22 million for Bellinger is not a bad contract at all.

    Cody is one of the best 1st basemen in the league when he plays

  • @stephennixon9609
    @stephennixon9609 Месяц назад

    If Bellinger is going to play CF then Dominguez is going to be in LF and he wasn't very good there last year. CF is his natural position so he will have to improve defensively in LF. I think they will get Christian Walker to play 1st base because he's great defensively and that's where the Yankees need to improve the most. Keep Jazz at 3B and get a good 2B and let's roll.

    • @snerdterguson
      @snerdterguson Месяц назад

      If you're interested in fixing infield defense, you should move Jazz to second where he's much better.

    • @stephennixon9609
      @stephennixon9609 Месяц назад

      @snerdterguson He was very good at 3B having NEVER played there before and with some experience there now he will be even better. I don't want Arenado or Bregman. I like Christian Walker at 1B and they can get a 2nd baseman.

      I'd rather a one-year flier on a vet like Carlos Santana at 1B over committing long-term to Walker.

      Yankees were really healthy last year. They started the year without Cole, but outside of that, they had no significant injuries until like July. Schmidt and Gil got injured. The really nothing the rest of the year. Nobody that was expected to be a year long starter got hurt and missed extended time, outside of them. Tell me the teams that didn't have starting pitchers hit the IL for a month plus.

    This is not a Good move by The yankees. He is no where near The same player anymore. Plus Yankees did stanton wrong by getting a player who married Stanton's ex gf, And then they show that awkard picture of judge, Stanton, bellinger as if they are best friends?😅 And I don't care how long ago it was 5 or 6 years ago. You just don't make a move like that out of respect for your players. You want to win a WS or become a side show distraction in The clubhouse? Like how is this move good? His wife should even be more embarssed. She's been with two men in that Clubhouse when in the past and one in the present. Glad my mom raised me not to sleep around the league. Smh

      If he just does in NY what his average year was for Chicago, this was a steal. If he takes advantage of the porch and somehow returns to what he was at his best, it joins the ranks of Ryan for Fregosi, Robinson for Pappas, Right or the money to bankroll a musical... as one of the most lopsided trades in history.

      Why do so many people use lifetime playoff rate stats and act like that tells you whether a guy was good in the playoffs. You can bat .500 in the playoffs and have no meaningful impact, and you can go 2 for 10 and be the MVP. WHEN you get hits is the biggest thing in October. Also, like most MLB payers with a lot of playoff experience, he has games, series and years where he's bad, ones where he's ok and ones where he plays at an MVP level.
