Nio is no match for Tesla. The hype for Chinese EV stocks is drying up. With this cloud over these stocks people have taken their money and bought into more household EV stocks like Tesla.
Not to say NIO isn't a good buy as it comes down but probably won’t have the gains we have seen in the past.
If TSLA stock can manage growing at the same CAGR as it's done since IPO in 2010 (~60%), it will 10x over the next 5 years... so $7000/share in 2025. While I think the chance of this happening is less than 10% -- Tesla's financial performance still needs to grow into its current valuation -- Tesla (like Amazon) will trade "rich" (trailing P/E >100) until it's no longer in hypergrowth "mode". How long until that happens is anyone's guess.

The battery swapping is very good solution, I will buy EV with that services.
horrible idea, charging speeds are 50% on 20 minutes, charging speeds will increase over time and match battery swap, next is that batteries are very expensive, assuming the normal rates for a battery which is let’s say $10k and the profit per car which is 3k it makes no real sense at all, the company cannot and will not be profitable, next is that these stations are expensive to create and as the cost to start one is 1000x more then a charging station there will be much less, it just makes more sense to charge it
It’s too much expensive for consumers in long run. Tesla unveiled this idea back in 2014 but they didn’t implement this idea due to the cost concern for consumers.

A very informative video.
I see a common mistakes on all the videos that has Nio as the main topic, that we are they are competing with Tesla, on one end it is true that Tesla is rivaling with them, but they themselves are competing with gasoline cars, so all the EV's are actually competing with the gas cars and once the EV's have a large market share than they would compete with each other, until then, benefit of one EV company would benefit every EV comapny. There's also a saying "No risk No Biscuits" but it's a calculated risk because I did some research about the company and they have a lot of positive things going on. Their concept about battery swapping is what sets them apart from other EV companies. The current price now is around $54.30 and already made $31.3K in just more than a month. They are a young company and lots of room to grow specially with the EV market in China & Europe is so huge. The money is in the EV industry. Just look at TSLA who made a lot of millionaires already. NIO has a LOT more than just impressive battery swap
Nice video.
Battery swap is the only solution for people to convert to ev cause the charging still takes 30mins. Just think about your everyday trips and road trips. If going to fill up on fuel for 5mins is enough of a nuances think of how much of a nuance it will be to charge up for 30mins! I was thinking about this before i brought a tesla car. Unless it has over 600 miles like a petrol car would go on a full tank i will have to wait longer until tesla has it as standard.
Great presentation 👍🏿
For only battery swapping paying US $20000 more or extra will be quite foolish step and don"t forget about safety that Tesla is providing.
Battery swapping is good idea, standardising is way forward. Tesla should look into it.
Yes, the sales of NIO proves this
Isn't that a TATA Nano inspired Mitsubishi at 7:01
We own one EV and one PHEV
Not a fan of battery swapping sounds like too much work they absolutely need to make it chargeable at home
Its faster than charging.swapping takes only 3min compared to charging which can take 45min.
Chinese love a bargain. I'm sure battery manufacturers will set up shop with a cheaper imitation
It’s both.

Totally wrong way.
they are chargeable at home, it s both 😂
the pie is huge, there are no rivals at this point. and also they have different approaches. tesla targets the ev under 30k for everyone, and nio is making luxury ev ranging around 40k to 70k.
Just dig deep to store the battery underground
Nio need to have their own factory to push their price down and further compete with Tesla.
Apple doesn’t own any factory. You can be successful without factory
It’s Chinese labor is still cheap
not having a factory and contracting with JAC will make them more nimble and profitable than Tesla in the long run.

Because of its innovative technology and ambitious leadership this EV company is the one Tesla is afraid of the most.
Also its a potential acquisition target for Tesla.
I sold all my 1500 tesla shares to buy NIO and plant & Co(VEGN)
when Nio stock price hitting less than $2 low for such long long time, there was no one pays attention of.
however, when it comes back, then suddenly becomes a Tesla biggest rival out of nowhere.
plus when any thing related to "China" , there must be followed accenting " BUT " .
I'll buy one once the prices drop to something similar to a gas car!
If anyone actually did outdo Tesla, they would state it. Not question if they did. If you have to ask if they did, then the answer is no they didn't.
That's far from Tesla's biggest rival. The top cars that people who buy the Model 3 traded in were the Toyota Prius, BMW 3-Series and Honda Accord in 2018. It might have changed, but Tesla is still competing mostly with ICE, not with EVs. It will be a very long time before Tesla's primary concern is getting somebody to buy a Tesla instead of a different EV.
So there are only 2 places to swap their batteries out in the whole city, 3 if you're lucky? Imagine if there were only 3 gas stations in your city. Would be a nightmare.
Still though, the world needs more electric car options. Gotta start somewhere.
Doesnt BYD make more EVs?

Wow thats not going to work if you are planning to swap the batteries in battery stations
i love NIO
Battery swapping is not a good sell. Batteries are the biggest issue on manufacturing ev's and this tech means you need more and more batteries to be available the more cars you sell which means you aren't selling as many cars. Plus swap stations are hugely expensive requiring a company representative to be present and that 5 minute swap tine is best case. As charging speeds become better the more expensive and irrelevant this tech gets.
I'd buy an EV but honestly I hate driving
Well luckily, NIO announced their Lv4 autonomous driving that is in production today and it will be around a $108/month optional subscription plan. Maybe that'd be something you would be interested in.
So will gas powered vehicles not be produced in the next 10-20 years? If they are, don't you think the oil companies will reduce their prices to compete with EVs. If so that means EVs will not dominant the car industry in the future.
Nio is cool, but the battery “advantage” they have now is going to be a negative feature in a decade when batteries are going to hold more range and charge to 100% in less than 10 min. You won’t be able to replace all the batteries from all vehicles and make one that fits them all because you lose efficiency, just like all cars don’t have the same built. A common charging port to set a standard in the industry is a much better and realistic option. Companies and governments simply need to improve subsidies to replace batteries and recycle old ones
NIO has dual option charging. you can charge it like Tesla or swap it.
@@irandoosty yay! The swapping will die eventually so hopefully the beat tesla and drive prices down!
