Well done, I remember when you first got the mold!!! Now you are on the water. You and Janet are amazing, hope you have many years of wonderful travels!!
wow being watching for over five years congratulations on all your massive amounts of hard work you have built a extremely high standard vessel to suit your requirements hope you can enjoy it for many years to come. I started a deck mould for a 6mtr boat 3 years ago nearly completed it then got crook for 2 years but over that now and had the pleasure of popping the new deck out the other day well worth all the work did extra modifications because Ross got into my head and made me do the best version of a deck i could, thanks look after yourselves and enjoy that wonderful boat
MADE MY DAY hearing that !! - Especially after the concern of no news last week. Brilliant - so delighted for you both - it feels like starting the last chapter of a great book - eager to find out what happens mixed with the sorrow of knowing there’s an end in sight. I hope you celebrated the moment with stories to tell for years to come.
What? On the water? That news makes me so happy! I've watched you and Janet work so hard to make that happen, so glad to hear you've finally gotten to that payoff. Congratulations!
Hi Janet and Rossco you had me worried for a few days when you didn't post a video last week ,then the penny dropped SPLASH TIME yeah!!! Congratulations on this most major milestone. You have worked so hard for so long !The cat must look so good now as this week's vid is late August, the 3 months since would have seen a lot of finishing touches done .I bet it looks beautiful in the water . Again we'll done Cheers guys Phil
Hello, Zack, how was your family's birthday? It's good to see you with your in-law; you make him happy and excited when he sees you. You are a great help, and he loves you very much. God bless you.
Congratulations years of back breaking work and you are in the water. You and janet and all the people whove helped need to take a bow on a amazing job well done. You are one amazing man with a dream that has finally come true. Well done.
Wow, wow, wow. You perservered, and more importantly, so did your precious Janet! May you have smooth seas, following winds, and fair weather for all your finishing-up projects and travels.
Awesome Ross. My fiberglass skills have improved so much since starting to watch your channel. What an accomplishment for not only you but your whole family. Well done mate..
Congratulations on the launch. I have watched every episode since you started. It's been a long time coming. Fantastic achievement! Can't wait to see her on the water.
Wow congrats! So impressive -Your family are rock stars particularly your lovely Wife; with the huge efforts made and sacrifices taken to get the boat ready!
Great job on the progress Ross. Well done on the splash and good on ya, Janet, and the kids too. You’ve built a fine vessel. Stay safe and fair winds sir! - Jeremy-
Hi Ross I’m glad Jen has big shoulders , you’re always given a curry which is normal for Australians anyway it’s good to see you. You still love each other after all these years and building a boat must put a strain on a relationship at times. Anyway keep up the good work Cliff from Logan city appear in the real world, Queensland, Australia. I just got back from Sydney yesterday absolute madness you go in the 40 km an hour zone and people are still doing 100 k’s an hour drive past feel like you’re standing still don’t know how they keep their license , I must say those rivers down there like the Hawkesbury River, absolutely beautiful what a place to live
Sweet, I was worried something happened as there was no video last week. Well now I know something did happen, you went a splashed your boat. Congratulations, now get back to work and finish it. Congratulations to you. The hard work that went into this boat is starting to pay off.
I have been following you since the beginning. I was stuck in bed having multiple ops and you were my escape outside these 4 walls. Absolutely elated to see the boat gone but very apprehensive about not having you to watch every week. You and the Mrs have been a pleasure to watch. Kerp safe and cant wait for the splash to hit the channel
It’s coming together mate. I like your polisher, I could use that on the bikes. I’ll ring you to get the info. Catchup would be great. Hi to Janet, the best TA ever. take care.
Use loctite 55 cord seal it’s brilliant and won’t break down like tread tape, one roll lasts a lifetime, use for water, gas, oil hydraulic etc, I use it on my hydraulic steering on my charter boat.
Did not see that coming. |Just chucked her in there did ya, eh? Maybe stuck a name on the transom while you were at it? Good on you for doing a great job.
Can you not re tap to next size up and put the thread size you need same holds for the male threads just clean old threads off and run the proper die as long as there is enough meat and the pressure are not too extreme. May be even get a welder to weld up the nipple or male thread and then use the proper die. That will also keep the threads std and the same . Nothing worse than having to work on things with 2 or 3 different thread types. Probably cheaper than using multiple fittings and having to source them . I worked on process analyzers and their sample systems for 15 years but almost always used compression fittings and the prices did not matter too much.
Splashed? After how many years? Rossco, there is a Swedish couple building a wooden 50', monohaul and at the same time having to completely renovate their farm home and the barn being used to build their vessel in and a garden and playset for their daughter and and.... It is going on 2 years for them now! Another Swedish family is building an aluminum catamaran. In under three months of construction, the entire skeleton and shell of their vessel is done!
Hey Ross your local hose guys must be a Muppet. I haven't watched your Chanel for some time. If I had of known your problem with npt to bsp I could of helped. Anyway boat looks great you are one persistent fker I'll give you that. Great work. Tim. Ps. Just don't tighten to far down with the npt bsp union as there is a difference that is shows when you over tighten
I or kin a fab shot for over thirty years and if someone is trying to make you one of them couplers then they are ripping you off cause I could make you some of them in about two hours for about two hundred dollars and that with the Materials all made on a lathe cause you can make Standard and metric threads on a lathe
The thread pitches can be a nightmare and those brass fittings cost a small fortune. Sounds like you found a solution but next time try a different hydraulics shop, Im sure they could braze something up for you if need be.. I've brazed two together to make adapters...
I kinda figured you were in the short rows getting the boat ready last week when you didn't post or give us a notice. I have to admit I worried about you getting hurt as well. Not a very considerate thing to do leaving people hanging.
I’m so glad that you got your boat in the water because I’ve been watching from the beginning but now I feel robbed because this episode you peddled around showing us this and that that we are moving of what you were doing, but you actually didn’t show us you doing anything we’ve watched this for so long to see each and technically all you did was talk so I kind of feel like you cheated your audience in a big way
Cmon, Rossco and janet have a lot going on and after years of work can't you just be happy for them. In all reality they don't owe us anything and I'm just so happy for them .
When you didn’t load a video last week I knew you’d launched. Biggest congratulations on a an amazing achievement.🎉🎉🎉🎉

Hey Rosco, how about "Dammit Janet" for a boat name.
What??? Big congrats 🍾🎉
Thanks mate, Massive month.
Congrats. I gonna miss this build series…
Mate so much more to absorb.
WOOOT! When do we get to know what Janet named her boat? The boat...THE boat!
Did not see that coming. |Just chucked her in there did ya, eh? Maybe stuck a name on the transom while you were at it? Good on you for doing a great job.
Hello Rosco and Janet
Serious congratulations to you both
Bringing to completion a project of this magnitude is a massive effort
Ask me how i know.
Can you not re tap to next size up and put the thread size you need same holds for the male threads just clean old threads off and run the proper die as long as there is enough meat and the pressure are not too extreme. I worked on process analyzers and their sample systems for 15 years but almost always used compression fittings and the prices did not matter too much.
Instead of all those fittings put together I would call a machine shop and have them make you an adapter
Splashed? After how many years? Rossco, there is a Swedish couple building a wooden 50', monohaul and at the same time having to completely renovate their farm home and the barn being used to build their vessel in and a garden and playset for their daughter and and.... Yep and another 5 to finish it that is the reality, most nevercreally finish, and its ours
Zack that looks crazy, all those fittings. Its a good job its not going to be seen, good solution but so ugly…lol 😂
Tucked away inside a cabinet and working perfectly.
3/8 not and bsp will screw up but the joint WILL fail at some time in the future. Better to braze it up.
its kinda upsetting that you are already on the water and we didnt get to see it actually happening realtime
Sadly not possible.Ligistics prohibit real time these days
Hey Ross your local hose guys must be a Muppet. I haven't watched your Chanel for some time. If I had of known your problem with npt to bsp I could of helped. Find a home machinist near by and save his number for all your threaded fitted problems.....
I put our a notification on Saturday advising all was OK.Click the notifications bell as it drops off on the videos at times.Rossco
You dark horse.🤷♂️
