The reason is that the Prophet (PBUH) recited it like that and taught to the sahabah this way, and since then we've been reading it like that, so we can't change that.
Finding Your channel is like i have found a treasure thsm and jazakallaho khiran. But notice that there are some ads on the video that contain prohibited things
@arabic101 Thank you for this wonderful class. I have a small doubt in the "try it" section of this lecture, why "Ya" is not pronounced in the word "Ommi"?
So when pronouncing i.e D with kasra with shaddah you pronounce first a D then pronounce another time but not restarting the tounge movement but having it at the same place then the kasra?
Anybody who knows how to read music or clustered alphabet systems has no prob reading Arabic. That's what was the light bulb moment for me and totally changed my perception of the Arabic language!
JazakAllahu hayran, it is very informative video. Why didn't you pronounce y at the end of ummiy instead said ummi? Is there any other grammar rule for this?
There are some letters that we can’t really double in a way we can here the difference, like kaf or ba or even ta. Is this normal or can we do something about it?
When there is a shadda after a long vowel (like alef, wow, or ya) does the ling vowel become short? For example in fatihah the final verse, the dhad in the final word, how do uou pronouce the alef in walaa right before that it seems many imams pronounce it as fatha not alef
The word 'jannah' and 'jinn' come from the same root جنن which refers to something that is hidden and unseen.. That's why jinn are called jinn, because they cannot be seen, and that's why jannah is called Jannah because it is hidden from us until after the Day of Judgement. Allah knows best. Asslamo alikom
Asslamu alaikum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatuhu! I have a question. Many times people teach that the kasira is under the shadda and not the letter. But when I look at the Arabic text, that's not the case, it is under the letter. Can you please tell me why it's taught like this? I'm confused. Jazakallah khair!
Wa alikom asslam, It is correct both ways. I just chose the one the is used in the Qur'an. But unfortunately, Alhamdulillah, that caused confusion to some people. May Allah forgive us all. But it is possible both ways.
I want to share this to you Ustadh, why I'm not quite so good when reading the Quran sometimes I stopped a little bit coz I can't pronounce the kalima properly but I know how to read it but it seems I'm not really sure if it's correct. May be I'm confusing on harf or the letter that's why it bit hard sometimes for me to proceed in the next word. Any advice Ustadh?
Which is correct? اللّٰه or الّٰه? I see the first that has two laam. Isn't it one laam and shaddah? Why are two laam on the first example? Please, explain me!
The first one is the correct version of Allah:اللّٰه .. But I am not really sure what you mean by (the first example)? In any case, I elaborate on the word Allah in this tutorial: ruclips.net/video/0paH22-NvzU/видео.html Maybe you'll find your answer there in shaa Allah .. If not please, let me know, I will do my best to help in shaa Allah.
Asslamo alikom, Wherever you use shaddah, you must use a short vowel on top or under. What you might have seen could be that the shaddah had kasra, and the kasra was not put under the shaddah sign itself, but under the letter. Then it would seem like there a shaddah without short vowels.
If we peonounce shaddha in a light manner like we dont stress too much but a little bit? Is it a major mistake does it changes the meaning of the Quran? Plz reply
Asslamo alikom, I am not sure what you mean by pronouncing shaddah in a 'light manner' .. If you don't pronounce the shaddah properly, it can definitely change the meaning of the word. So yeah, it should be pronounced properly. Asslamo alikom
That is correct, in the Quran you will find it under the word, but that is the exact same effect. For beginners, it is easier to keep the short vowels as close to each other as possible, that's why I chose to say to put them in one place together.
Brother what you have told that the vowel should be placed below the shadda and not below the letter.. but this is how it isn't in the Qur'an. could you explain?
Asslamo alikom, This lesson is for beginners, and as a beginner it's clearer to have it above the shaddah, then the signs are in the same spot, and you don;t have to look for it. But under the letter is also correct when you become more intermediate, just a different style.
In order for a long vowel to exist, it MUST be preceded by a letter that has a short vowel of the same sort. So أمِي has the م with kasrah, which enables the long vowel ي to be a long vowel. That's why in Arabic, we can't start with a long vowel, because there must be a letter before it. Hope this makes sense. Asslamo alikom
Although my mother language is Arabic, I find the method and animation you are using are quite ingenious and informative.

Great video, very quick, clear, and informative. Thanks! 👍😁
Dear Sir.. can you explain the ayah number 41 of Sura Hood.. as it has a unique word ( MAJReeha). Why this word is pronounce totally different.
The reason is that the Prophet (PBUH) recited it like that and taught to the sahabah this way, and since then we've been reading it like that, so we can't change that.
This is so, so useful! Thank you!
Thanks i know now 👍

3:35 i saw in some Qurans (like muslimpro) that the line is put under the Lam and not under the shadd. I assume that you can do it both ways?
I love this
Could u plz tell the words related shadda with kasra mentioned in quran?...so that i will be easy to understand
Thanks
@arabic101 Thank you for this wonderful class.
I have a small doubt in the "try it" section of this lecture, why "Ya" is not pronounced in the word "Ommi"?
Hi, Thanks you, teacher.
Sorry, I have a question to ask, 4:04 is ommi not ommiy?
Not sure what the difference is between ommi not ommiy
@@Arabic101 (alif + dammah) + (meem + shaddah + kasrah) + (ya + sukoon) = ommiy ? Sorry, I just don't know the "ya" need or no need...

دمر for the word
the trailing of the ر is quite prominent. Sometimes I found myself doing the same problem (takrir) with pronouncing ر with shaddah.
Great learnt a lot
4:23
wow i was very close, i was bit confused with Alif and U, so i said "Aummiy"
second i said salleem
and final i said exactly as battah

JazakAllahu hayran, it is very informative video. Why didn't you pronounce y at the end of ummiy instead said ummi? Is there any other grammar rule for this?
No, that is how the yaa' is pronounced when it comes at the end of the word. Remember: yaa' as a long vowel will always have sukoon on it.
@@Arabic101 thank you for explaining it.
There are some letters that we can’t really double in a way we can here the difference, like kaf or ba or even ta. Is this normal or can we do something about it?
Mashallah your voice is so mesmerising and the quality of videos is amazing
In the word Ommi, why is there sakoon above the last letter y/ii? Why would you write the letter there?

When shaddah comes after a long vowel, the long vowel will be elongated (not shortened)
This is a case called (madd lazim) in the study of tajweed.
I've been taught that for shaddah/tasydid with kasrah, the kasrah is written below the letter (not below the shaddah/tasydid), is that correct?
How is it Ommi instead of Ummi please
Masha Allah, Your videos are great. Thank You Brother.
good question how shades read if on ي و ا؟
How was shadda written before shadda was introduced.
Was there a way to spell shadda without the diacritics before the diacritic was invented?
does Janah have meaning? cuz based on the secret which doubled chop equal dice, maybe doubled janah/jannah too?
The word 'jannah' and 'jinn' come from the same root جنن which refers to something that is hidden and unseen.. That's why jinn are called jinn, because they cannot be seen, and that's why jannah is called Jannah because it is hidden from us until after the Day of Judgement.

It basically takes you step by step from one letter, to two letters, to three and so on ..

Is shadda is kinda long vowel?
No, it is a 'stress' that is generated because of the duplication of the letter.
