I faced my friend and former coach FM Milan Jocev in a wild and confusing Sicilian. His strategy, to play something extremely unorthodox and seemingly nonsensical worked out perfectly. He is much stronger than me, so playing a simple to uncerstand, common position, with a pawn structure I'm comfortable with would make little sense. He chose the Sicilian, and went for a setup that makes absolutel no sense. But it worked.

These things happen all the time. I had a similar attack a couple of weeks ago in a big tournament over here (Rio de Janeiro) and misplayed it to an unrated player. I was so mad at myself that I withdrew from the tournament.

First, very interesting game. However, I think you should really analyse your games with a stronger engine. For example, at 5:20, after 10.Nc3 Stockfish 16.1 is screaming to play 10.. exf5! even assigning an advantage to Black!

Interesting game. Very hard to play accurately in these kinds of scrambles. It's a good idea to play this kind of position vs higher rated players so a smart practical choice.
It's probably a way off, but I'm waiting for the video of the Mudrinic game in the next tournament. That is probably a one hour video if this one was 29 mins.
