  • Here we have a journey along the Trent Valley. An in train Railway Drivers cab video along a section of the UK West Coast Main Line, A major UK railway artery that runs from London Euston to Glasgow Central along the West side of the UK our trip is from just South of Rugby to Nueaton, Tamworth, The Cathederal City of Lichfield and then on via Rugeley to the County town of Stafford. This was filmed over 3 years ago and still shows Virgin West Coast trains operating. The West Coast franchise is now of course operated by Avanti West coast.

    Your videos are keeping me fit in lockdown here in Aussie. No sound, no problems! Crank up the CDs on the stereo, walking on my treadmill! 6 miles on the treadmill listening to music, watching your videos! I’ve never been fitter. Thanks for posting👌👌👍🏻👍🏻

    I remember well the EE38 & EE39 resignalling projects when I worked 6 days a week for about 6 years along the entire length of this route having walked the whole route several times over.

    I noticed many photographers ,especially at Stafford. Was this a special train? btw I enjoyed the video.

      No Just a freight. Stafford is one of those stations thats still a Mecca for Trainspotters,

    There's a video on youtube of this stretch of track filmed in 1985. It's interesting how much it has changed since then, with lots of signalboxes and level crossings etc removed. You can see it here about an hour in.ruclips.net/video/veXvuEFuS-M/видео.html

    Im wondering why this train seems so slow. For example approaching Rugby another train went past at 3 times the speed at least.
