For what it's worth I think you sound great! Sounds like you're trying to keep quiet so it's a bit breathy? but that looks even harder than belting it out and you STILL held pitch unaccompanied. Sparks of 🐲 🔥 breath are hiding in there
A good effort, if you want continue singing you need to work on breath control so you can hold some of the notes and vowels longer. Breath control is also something I am struggling with as well so I just wanted to give some tips on that, also don't forget to breathe between segments(not professionally trained so I don't know the terminology, I'm still learning myself to be honest), you don't want to be out of breath when you try to go for a long note. Other than that you just need to have more confidence in your voice, you have the depth for it you just need to put so more power into it. I know you may not have any intentions to become a professional singer but I thought I could offer my advice as a budding singer as well. Hope this helps you in the long run.😇
Not a bad effort with the singing at the end. It was deep. A piece of advice for reaching deep notes, that helped me at least, is to imagine my vocal chords are deeper down in my throat while I sing. That allows me to manipulate them into normal speech patterns while singing in my low range. You show lots of potential with singing deep and powerfully.
Yeah, Dave tends to have this effect on people. If he ever decides to seriously train his beautiful low baritone voice and sing, I'm gonna be chanting his praises as much as I do Geoff's 😄
Synesthesia is the term for when one sense triggers multiple senses. This causes things like sounds having a color, or images having taste, despite not actually seeing the sound or tasting the image.
This song, only this song, makes my entire body vibrate. I feel it physically. It’s really weird but sometimes I go to sleep with this at night on a loop, this song. It’s soothes my soul
I agree with you this is legendary. Best version I have heard to date. Bobby did an amazing arrangement. And while all that bass is everything you could ever want, it is the high harmonies in the middle section that really stand out for me.
I found a man after my own heart. I have no vocal talent but I’m from a family of composers, opera singers and classical musicians so your reaction hits close to home.
I'm glad to see you enjoyed this as much as I did. This does not merely rattle your bones, it shakes your SOUL. I thought your singing wasn't too bad, either.
Loved your reactions to this epic collective performance. They did an amazing job and I did what you did at the end. Just hit repeat many times in the ending
Dude, i so love seeing you love these songs as much as i, my son is a bit sick of hearing with me, but here with you i cn sing and see your love with me, man. thank you.
I've been listening to this song daily, often multiple times, since it came out. I get chills! It's absolutely beautiful. So full and hearty and robust. I absolutely love this rendition. Excellent job gentlemen!
interesting story behind this song, a personal one at that. This was during a D&D session where my character, Luke Marrowind a mountain dwarf fighter, found out that his home, the silver mountains of Egros, had been taken over by dragons during the months that he had been away. In a moment of sadness he and all the other dwarves began to sing this song.
Nice job with the singing. Excellent arrangement by Bobby Bass-and kudos for bringing so many stellar basses to this. I have some new basses to check out, esp. Jojo Otseidu and Jonathan Young, and yeah this one will be on repeat for awhile. Great reaction-I knew you’d love this one. You could maybe do a short where you sing along with these guys, just for fun.
Bro, all of these titans among bass singers, and Colm just rolls in there and starts raising the dead with his Irish intensity! You cannot make this up, bro
You are always so enjoyable to watch! You just show so much emotion, and your face is super expressive and exudes pure joy when you listen to things that excite you! Love watching you ! Keep it up man!
Really great arrangement. Great collaboration. Love the harmonies. Thanks for your reaction. [Nice voice. I like the depth sendroundness of your bass tones]
Listening to them sing just destroys all control and restores suppressed primal urges. I keep reminding myself, I'm almost 45, I'm a mom and....and I forget my point and watch it again 🤦♀️
Your reaction and humor was so spot on about this incredible rendition and made me laugh today which I needed. You did a great job singing btw. God bless!
Honestly one guy i believe you should give a listen is Mr. Colm McGuinness! The dude is absolutely top notch in his range and with what he does for music and his own songs! The man is wicked talented. And a random reccommmendation for a song to give a listen is the rock cover of abcdefu by our last night....i feel that you might appreciate it ! Keep making awesome content dave!
was not expecting bro to give it a go at the end, but was fire man. this rendition of the song really gets right down to the soul & rattles the bones. AMAZING
Dave, breathe, just breath. Sometimes there is something you hear that is indescribable with words, and it's okay. The Wellermen-Misty Mountains is just that. First time I heard this I had to listen to it again, and again, it is A Capella in perfection with lyrics painted with voices. Overwhelming, moving, stunning, but absolutely unique. Beauty that touches the soul. Singing what moves you is always the best connection!
I watch your videos in the morning, while getting my boy ready for school. It just brings me such joy watching you enjoy music so passionately!!! The word you're looking for is Synesthesia. The blending of senses without drugs lol.
I listened to this song on full volume the first time I heard it. I was completely mesmerized. When I heard the chorus at 4:41 I legit teared up, I felt it soooo deep in my soul.
I have never heard that many bass voices on one song, I understand what you saying about seeing images from them singing. This is the ultimate dragonslaying song, I am very impressed
Dave, I love your channel so much man. Your energy and smile are so contagious and I appreciated your opinions from you being a musician yourself, I play 6 and 12 string guitar and I sing in a low baritone range. Been a subscriber for at least a year now. Cheers 🍻👍🤘
When I close my eyes, I see inside an ancient cathedral with this MASSIVE pipe organ, and some massively huge pipes that put out such strong low notes that it penetrates you, shaking you, reaching all the way into your BONES!!!!!
First video I've seen of you and my name is David as well!!! Wooo hooo!!! The tears of power and joy flowed from my eyes!!!!! My mom and family came upstairs (I and my sister and family are visiting my mom) while I was listening to their video! SSoo happy to stumble on your video...Epic!
Loved this reaction. My facial expressions mirror yours when i hear pieces like this! Totally agree with the Tommy P flavor towards the beginning. Brothers voice is silky like black velvet. Love it. These champ gutter dragon slayers NAILED it! I'm gonna be seeing the Wellerman 6/24 in Pgh, PA and I'm SOOO excited! Bobby Bass baby!!! 🥰My first show of this kind! I'll be geekin just like you! Great job singing at the end btw.
Listening to you and this truly remarkable version of Misty Mountains. You are right. This is my favorite, hands down. It is transporting me to the Dwarven halls under the mountain, where lies Smaug the devastator. They all brought so much to the table it can't be comprehended in one listen. This is my fifth....or sixth....not sure anymore. But you are spot on in your reaction and analysis.
You’re remembering right. But I agree you can hear some Tomi P influence in some of the harmonies. Not surprising since they do work together at times..
It is a brilliant composition and Amazing collections of voices!!! Sing it homes! You can sing my friend! You can sing! I did the same thing after I got back to my laundry and my family went back downstairs!! It sounds good!!! Def subbed and hit that bell!!
This is just amazing ,l agree with you WDD ,these guys are just amazing, l am a bass singer myself and just listening to them, makes me inspired, thanks for this bass gang
Dude! I fucking feel you bro! These guys are pure dragons! Still I love your impressions, because they are pure and geniun. Never change bro! You're aweome my dude!
Yeah, the harmony these gentlemen are able to create with such deep resonance is phenomenal. I don't think I've ever heard 8 part male harmony. It's like they took the two standard bass parts and further subdivided them. Even the tenor parts fit incredibly well. These dudes sound like I've always imagined dwarven singing would sound. I've listened to this song dozens of times, and I still get goosebumps every single time. Absolutely love this. And, yeah...that ending chord. DAYUM.
I definitely DID not attempt to sing this song at the end of this video…..😅😅😅
I think all of us get the urge to sing after hearing such an amazing performance like that hahaha keep up my guy

This is one of the most smile-inducing things I've watched in ages. Stay handsome, good sir!

Your Basse is Amazing 🥰
@@Teodora.marjanov005 I agree. 😊It is amazing.
I’m glad you found it that way sir! I enjoy your “dragon-speak” as Dave put it, and I like that term.
Dude huge fan!! Love your style!
Bobby's singing face 100% matches the sound that he produces. It's freaking mesmerizing.
Synesthesia is the term for when one sense triggers multiple senses. This causes things like sounds having a color, or images having taste, despite not actually seeing the sound or tasting the image.
The tingles is another
The last 50 seconds of this cover contain the most beautiful singing I've heard in a very long time 😍
This song, only this song, makes my entire body vibrate. I feel it physically. It’s really weird but sometimes I go to sleep with this at night on a loop, this song. It’s soothes my soul
Hell yeah brother 😎
Yo Peter did you arrange this?
@@whatitdodave Bobby did the arrangement
One word, Peter....VIPERS, vipers ALL! Even Smaug, that fire-breathing lizard, sat up to listen! Stellar, Bobby, just stellar.
I agree with you this is legendary. Best version I have heard to date. Bobby did an amazing arrangement. And while all that bass is everything you could ever want, it is the high harmonies in the middle section that really stand out for me.
not even close to Peter Hollens...and those burger eating priests
This feels like something you'd hear in Skyrim... IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL IT MAKES ME CRY UNCONTROLLABLY ❤️
Yass!! I literally played this while playing with my male Dark Elf and 5000000 illegal followers, and chilling in Dawnstar in Skyrim lolll-
I wish it was in the actual movie when the Dwarves were singing this song. I felt like I was hearing it play in the book itself! 😮
Dave's eyes by the end of the song "mountains ain't the only thing that are misty right now."
I found a man after my own heart. I have no vocal talent but I’m from a family of composers, opera singers and classical musicians so your reaction hits close to home.
I thought I could not like this song anymore than I already did but, seeing your pure joy and appreciation takes it up to another level.
This man was in bliss and I'm here with him
I’m on a snowy mountainside with a feeling of stern resolve in my heart as I tighten my grip on the war axe in my hand.
Here. Take the leviathan axe from me
For your fallen brothers... for the honor of your Clan... and the blood of your people-- FIGHT!
@@Ecandelario1take up your axe brother. Your fight is not over yet.
The 2 minute mark on the video sends waves of chills, WAVES OF CHILLS! The harmony and range of all the talent is unmatched.
I'm glad to see you enjoyed this as much as I did. This does not merely rattle your bones, it shakes your SOUL. I thought your singing wasn't too bad, either.
i think it's telling i could pick jonathan young out of that harmony with zero trouble. man's voice is distinctive as hell.
I'm happy to know I'm not the only one.
This song is so infectious! It makes you wanna join in like a pack of wolfs howling at night
Bruh, the wellermen was the group I needed when I was still singing. Much love brother

Bro one of the REALEST reactions and to an amazing song!!!
Love seeing your passion for this rendition. You express in words what i feel when hearing this song.
Dragonslayers, YES!
I must agree that this is (beside original dwarf cast one) the best version I have ever heard of this magnificent and soul touching song.
I've been listening to this song daily, often multiple times, since it came out. I get chills! It's absolutely beautiful. So full and hearty and robust. I absolutely love this rendition. Excellent job gentlemen!
I cant lie, I love bobby bass and peter barber the most. the opera singer and the unhuman range

Your joy and delight of hearing good music and sounds is fantastic
Definitely the best version I have ever heard. I enjoyed the one in the movie but this blows that one away.
In all fairness the one in the movie was aiming for a more serious and subdued tone, so if it had been more grand, it wouldn’t have fit well.
I love this, so many talented bass singers spitting fire love it.
Bro, all of these titans among bass singers, and Colm just rolls in there and starts raising the dead with his Irish intensity! You cannot make this up, bro

Love your videos!
That vibration tingles my ear weirdly
This song feels so primal it make s me want to go on a epic quest!!!
3:58 “There’s so much uuggggghhhhh in this.” I’ve never felt a comment more in my entire life.
Glad you liked it man! I can tell you where to get those beads you see in my beard if you want!
I gotta grow an impressive beard first haha.
Really great arrangement. Great collaboration. Love the harmonies. Thanks for your reaction. [Nice voice. I like the depth sendroundness of your bass tones]
I really couldn't count how many times he got eargasms!
I absolutely loved this song too! The guy who had the abnormally dark voice was Colm McGuinness and he knocked it out of the park!

Thanks for yet another happy-making reaction video, Dave.
Waching this man react to this was pure joy. Dont know why, it just brings a smile.
Dave went from the misty mountains to a tavern in skyrim surrounded by legendary dragon slayers singing about their forgotten home.
