- The 249cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine powers the tiny #Suzuki #VStrom. At 26.3bhp and 22.2Nm, the power output and torque ratings are similar. The 6-speed gearbox directs the drive to the back wheel. If you're curious, the slipper clutch does not exist. Identical to the gixxer 250 the powertrain of the V-Strom offers quick throttle response, punchy performance at low RPMs, a somewhat plain mid-range, and a mighty burst after 6,000 rpm. Although it's not very thrilling, the performance on offer here is more than sufficient for all circumstances. The first three gears of the six-speed gearbox have small ratios likewise much more pros & cons in this Suzuki VStrom #SX250.

Yes, selling very less as of now. Currently Suzuki is offering discounts to boost the sales.
This is not hardcore off road bike because of low suspension travel....best for highway...see it my cha... Tiger or Lion??

Hi, Excellent review. One question. It's been 11 months now. How do you feel about the sales of this bike? I am planning about buying this. My requirement is not hardcore off-roading. I'm looking for a bike with an upright seating position, good ground clearance, tall looking less than 2.5 lakhs priced with blue tooth connectivity. Considering all these I feel this is a better option. The only con I see is the missing assisted slipper clutch. I'm concerned about the parts availability in the future too because of its low number in sales. Please share your thoughts. Thank you again for a great review.

If your requirements match, then you can go ahead.
Check the quality of service in your area and proceed. Parts availability won't be a big issue because most of the crucial parts are shared with Gixxers.

There is no fancy stuff as given KTM or Yezdi. But you will start loving the Engine.
I have SF 250. I did chennai ladakh solo. last year.
Last 2 days I ride from Agra to Chennai in 2 days. That happened due to the smooth engine. While crusing at 90kmph. You will not even feel engine sound or minimal vibration. Butter smooth

I test-rode this bike yesterday. Clutch and gear shifting were really really hard. Is this because it's a test ride bike or this is the condition of V Strom? Please reply.
Yes, it is hard, will get better after first service. But still the shift quality can't match Honda bikes.
I tested the bike and the 'Test ride bike' was smooth. It might because they might have not serviced / tuned the vehicle. I got a new vehicle.

You won't need that much fuel capacity, this tank should give you 350+ range and I think it ain't bad.

Also it's expensive. Every bike has it's positives and negatives.
Better in terms of fancy stuffs. Not in terms of Engine reliability and quality.
