Hi i have picked up mine this week option 719 and find that the gearbox makes a high squeeking / screeching noise a bit whining noise especially in third gird. Like a high whistle, can hear some similar at your GS. I find it rather annoying sound. If i pull the clutch the sound is gone some must be coming out of the drive train and i think the gearbox. If i drive around in the village people are turning heads to me of where is that sound coming from. Bit disappointed here..... further more the bike is wonderfull no companies what so ever..
So 1st service at 1000km is done and have to say the gearbox and quick shifter is getting better. You really need to break in the gearbox. That high tune sound is the charm of this engine.😉 So now hoping for better weather so we can drive again. @dicted
This is a fake noise of some kind! After about 500km with the 1300GS, I can only repeat what was already said before: the mechanical engine noises tend to push the silencer noises into the background. Why this unnecessary and misleading video?
That is not the sound you will hear in the driver's position. and less with the stock exhaust. It is a fake sound recording. I have ridden that bike and the engine sounds above the exhaust noise. In fact, at the beginning of the video the driver makes a turn but the sound is constant when it should fade away from the rear. I don't know if what you are interested in is pretending that your motorcycle sounds like this, but unfortunately this motorcycle does not have this sound. A video that confuses a potential buyer by falsifying the true, unfortunate sound of this new engine. The bike runs well but the sound leaves a lot to be desired.
@@MotoAddicted Possibly it is the position where you have placed the microphone to record. Placing the microphone attached near the exhaust or inside the back seat does not represent the actual sound your driver receives. If you had recorded from the helmet, you would have noticed the change in sound when going around the motorcycle at the beginning of the video. I'm not criticizing you, but I'm questioning whether the intention of the video was to give a real sample of the sound generated by this 1300 when you drive it. Because by using this recording technique you are confusing people, because unfortunately this motorcycle does not sound like that.
@@michele1342000 If you take this bike for a test ride, even with the OEM akrapovick , the sound of the exhaust is low compared with the Akra of the 1250. Due it´s size, and the new EURO 5 rules. Adding that the sound of the engine block is very present and unpleasant from the driving position.
Sorry I have to disagree. I have a R 1300 GS myself and this is exactly the sound I hear >40km/h. This rattling sound of the engine I hear just in very low speeds.

Was für ein geblinke im Display. Scheint eine Schaltempfehlung zu sein. Wie kann man sowas so Aufdringlich und nervig gestalten, gehts noch.
It’s the gear light, super annoying and only after stopped I learned how to switch it off
