I got the 2016 C450 stock sedan second hand in top condition (45k KM) with sh*t ton of options, never could be happier tbh the car is different and also catches people's eyes very quickly I love it, the reason I wanted C450 C43 over C63 is the 4 wheel drive which wasn't something to debate for me. If it was only for HP and V8 would definitely go for E63 no questions asked
While doing a lot of Sport + Driving and constanly reving up and down in low gears, gear box temperure can rise to 90 degrees, i wouldnt be scared, unless it gets up very quickly. I dont have a tune on my C43 and ive seen these numbers as well.
Got this for the North York moors haven't touched it yet but I'm gonna kit it and stage 2 it maybe 3 if I can get the temperature down but I will say this my friend has a heavy modified r35 and in the bends this will keep up and in short straight it's going in his rear view if your boost is up. AMG made a weapon they need to help with the mods and they haven't. Shame
Glad to see this as i was thinking of a C63 S What do these go like? Drive like? Is there a big difference between the C63 & C43 ? I no not much beats the V8 noise but apart from that what’s the biggest difference between the both
In all honesty the jump from stage 1 to stage 2 isn’t massive on these, it’s about another 50bhp give of take, one of the upsides is louder exhaust sounds, providing you have a good relationship with your MOT garage I’m sure they will turn a blind eye to the missing cats 😂
Thanks buddy, selling her unfortunately 😢 C63s alloys buddy, paid £2500.00 for them with the Michelin tyres. I explain sizes etc on my latest video on the channel.
I had a full MST intake system on the car, if you go back 2 episodes in my channel there is a video about it. I’ve taken it off though since have the stage 2 tune done.
@@hg1496 in all honesty I don’t believe so, heat soak can cause lag and slow the car down, MST intakes do not disburse heat like the stock intakes when in turn can cause performance issues. Besides I can’t stand the sound they make! Haha
Well I was considering getting a different tune for the car and come across a company in the US called AMR performance, they basically send you an OBD scanner with the tune pre installed and then you do it yourself via your laptop, this is $1499.99 for this particular car on there website.

@@wokitlikeyoutalkit5619 no it’s cool mate don’t worry, it’s to allow more airflow, having catted DP’s slows down the amount of air being push through your engine and out the back. So when you delete the cats the airflow is much greater allowing for an even better tune and more HP and NM i.e stage 2 tune
@everything_amg yeah ofcourse it's more flow/HP I get that it's also a lot louder and illegal too haha .....being 38yo I'm kinda over trouble with cops. Don't catless downpipes cause oxygen sensor/check engine light on the dash?
@@wokitlikeyoutalkit5619the police are never going to be able to prove on the street you’ve got no cats. You need to have a good relationship with your MOT guy though.
Not to be that guy but obviously some issues with that tune. Massive boost oscillation or detonation as the curves go high low high.. not consistent at all. Used to dyno and tune motorcycles and that kind of graph was usually a telltale sign of problem. Either fueling related or boost and knock sensor pulling timing and putting it back. I would be very disappointed with a dyno graph like that. And no fueling or boost shown in the chart.
You know something I’m glad you are that guy because ever since that tune the car hasn’t felt right, the cooling fan comes on after you turn the car off and stays on for about 5-10 minutes and the pops and bangs in the car have stopped, this happen a few months ago, tried everything to rectify it but nothing has brought them back so I am fully convinced the tune is all wrong. Since taken it back and they said there’s nothing wrong with it 🤔 I’m going to ask them to put the original tune back in and then purchase a tune from AMR in the US, only thing is the tune is $1500.00 🤦🏽♂️ Thank you for this comment you’ve actually convinced me it’s 100% the tune causing the issues!
@@everything_amgwould love to know your before and after review from the AMR tune vs what you had done now. C43 is AWD but C63s can only be bought RWD, sometimes the c43 just the better deal depending if you live in climates where you need
Drive them both mate, the C43 is quicker 0-100kph, it's an absolute blast to drive, and the exhaust sounds phenomenal.
