The Half Wits skits have always been my SCTV favorites, the way Eugene's anger slowly rises over the sheer stupidity of the clods he's forced to deal with, until he just snaps. They sure don't write & act 'em like this anymore....
I definitely agree with you Marvin M., I always found that John Hemphill was as talented and hilarious as anyone else in the crew, he played amazing characters, funny as hell...👍
I normally enjoy SCTV, and never fast forward through any episodes, but I found this very slow and hard to get to the end. I also find it interesting that they waited until the final season to get Count Floyd - Flaherty - some help.
I also have enjoyed watching the Half Wits TV Show. I especially like Lawrence since he's ambitious and is planning on Professional Hockey as a career. Does anyone know what time the show comes on this week ?
Well, this was the final season where all the fan favorite cast members were gone (Candy, Moranis, O'Hara, and Thomas) and they were down to the dregs, but, for a season that's supposed to be bad, this actually had some funny moments.
love the parade here...."oooo for gossake someone call TROY"oh oooo call the doctor, she went ot home hardware today to get a stove "element" (off her face) for her precious roooooom. breathing ok, honey? throbbing bow elllllllsss? ooo tryign to speak...until next week the count says ooooooooooooooooooooo
Would love to see an SCTV reunion for just one more round of Half Wits.
I'd love to bet on it on ProLine ( an Ontario reference) Zero-zero-zero, perhaps?
Nobody could be better at covering a parade than Troy and Joe.
Cheers to John Hemphill - he's often overlooked! I loved it when he was on.
His "Happy Hour" sketches will always haunt me as The Most depressing comedy ever made.
Troy Soren: “Who's in charge of this year's parade finances? Fred Mertz?” 😂
A tremendous amount of comedic talent!
Big celebrity crush on Andrea! 🥰❤❤❤
this is one of the best episodes ever hands down... Period

If Alex had been better at asking the questions, those uniquely talented and intelligent contestants would have racked up the points.
OMG this is still some of the funnest comedy EVER!
I love SCTV. I feel like they would be cancelled nowadays though sadly. Comedy when it was in it’s prime
No one, not even the audience caught when Count Floyd said he was hosting some dance parties (in reference to John Hemphill's ad for them earlier).
A good Cinemax episode. The Count Floyd segment was great connecting with my love of VHS renting back in the day.
36:37 "Get ready for something crazy!" (Immediately cuts to Doctor Who)
"Ask them when they got there!"
What a budget. Production value out the window.
True comedy is no matter how many times you've have seen something you still laugh like the first
omg Martin Short he gave the parade -400 lol great show!
I definitely agree with you Marvin M., I always found that John Hemphill was as talented and hilarious as anyone else in the crew, he played amazing characters, funny as hell...👍
He also appeared on Schitt's Creek as Bob Currie who owned the town's only car repair shop.
6:14 reminds me of the old Kim Carnes song 'He's got Gomez Addams Eyes.'
That Shangri-La Dance Studio dude was downright frightening. Is that how you look and act when you're on all the drugs?
That brunette dance instructor in the red dress was smoking’ hot. She’s someone’s grandma now haha😂
My favorite Weiss / Soren episode. Hysterical.
QUEEN OF THE GYPSIES!
The Doctor Who at the end! Oh my goodness!!!
20:10 The man talking on the phone is the Cigarette Smoking Man from X-Files in his first TV role.

Halloween Always Falls On Friday The 13th Because There hadn't Been A Nightmare On Elm Street Yet Let Alone A Sequel.
Okay Alex then 😂
The stupid contestants were actually good predictions of the mass of people today.
Right from Cinemax to PBS at the end there!

"making parade of this SCOPE takes alot of huztpa!"

oooo scary count Floyd, 30 years later, ooooo scary....Friday the 13th always falls on a Friday...
Cannot believe how realistic this is in 2024. 🌈
Bo-riiiing!!!!!
Dunh Dunh!
Sound like 2022
Hey""… Not every episode could be a home run.
Well, this was the final season where all the fan favorite cast members were gone (Candy, Moranis, O'Hara, and Thomas) and they were down to the dregs, but, for a season that's supposed to be bad, this actually had some funny moments.
...and NOthing has changed!
The hairdos
In the 80s perms we're in!

"making parade of this SCOPE takes alot of hutzpah!!!" so jo how would u rate this years parade? I gave it a minus 400!!!!
The lame parade
lol host of half wits like like young and the witless???(restless). lol"dont degrade yourself honeyyyy".
I'm not knocking Eugene Levy, but he did play some stereotypical gay characters back in the day. And then his son ended up as gay.
How is stating a fact "knocking" Eugene Levy?
