what especially hurts about this scene for me was how the Raidon reacts to the respective Professor depending on which version. Even if they have the player, that doesn't stop them from missing the Professor dearly; they even look like they're close to crying. Being reunited for that small time only to have the Professor disappear again.
The sadness doesn't stop there. It seems that the Raidon realizes that somehow this familiar professor DOESN'T recognize it. That "Agian?" reaction is the start of its confusion.
As an internationally adopted child, the whole bit about meeting a person across time and space was emotional enough, but then Sada says "Whenever and wherever he is, I imagine he must be...quite lonely" and I had to struggle to keep it together to even read the next sentence.
I love how mid-way through this cutscene the game shifted the weather to a thunderstorm. I thought it was all part of the space-time line thinning and when she disappeared it just left the MC and Koraidon getting soaked in the downpour. I thought it was part of the actual cutscene but no, it just happened to be perfect timing. And I like that a lot.
Imagine if arven was there. I feel like it would turn into a very emotional scene with arven finally seeing his actual mother again and getting the chance to say goodbye to her since he never got the chance to
If you go to Arven after this cutscene, he will actually notice the Scarlet/Violet book given to you by the professor, but he will think you got it from the school library
When she talks about Arven and sadly looks to the sky, you can see if on her face, she was pondering leaving her research to be with him, but the she shakes her head concentrating yet again on her dream... Her obsession was already this bad, but a conversation with us nearly made it so she could for one fleeting moment want to be with her son.
The conversation does end with Turo/Sada saying that they’ll go home and take the time to read it. Not to mention that we have the Scarlet/Violet book in our timeline now. Perhaps we’ve created an alternate timeline where they’re with Arven?
The Prof writes in the underground lab that they received a white book a something that appeared to be from the future. This confirms that the mc is responsible for the entire plot of the game including the death of the professor
Or not, what the professor says and does does not correspond to our timeline. Both time machine and koraidon where already there when Arven was born. The Scarlet Book was in possesion of Arven. EDIT: disproven ..So, here's the issue with the whole "closed loop" theory. The moment Sada/Turo gives over the Scarlet/Violet book to the player, there's *no instance of the book in the timeline the professor returns to.* They give you the book that you *would have used* to shut down the machine; logically speaking, this means the entire plot of the game is an impossible paradox following this route. This also means there's no possible shutdown method for the time machine, as well as a host of other plot points within the main game becoming impossible. While the professor may successfully create the machine in their own timeline, and while our professor may have been given the book from a player of another timeline, it's impossible for this sequence to create a closed self-fulfilling loop.
could they make another copy of their book? i mean it's their own work, they could have made another copy or even a revision of the book based on the one we gave them.
This is what I was saying. I don't think it's a closed loop. Our timeline can never be fixed, but with no Scarlet Book in that timeline, maybe that timeline will be different.
@@pokemon15021Doubtful. The book we got at the Crystal Pool registers the same as the book the AI took in Key Items. Don’t know why people are saying it’s a loop when the professor talks about alternate timelines, and considering that Scarlet and Violet ARE 2 timelines of those 10~ years.
And somewhere else we probably have Dialga and Celeby cluster collectively bushing their heads against something sturdy because of creation of paradox and timeloop that need to be sustained in stability.
@@BladedShard I believed the same at first. But some comments have made difficult refuting points as multiple universe is now official in the Pokémon franchise.
@@UnwantedGhost1-anz25 she's not. She's from your timeline. She mentions this meeting in her journal you find in Underdepths before you even encounter Terapagos. It is bootstrap paradox. You cannot point the origin of events.

Theoretically, yes, but the game doesn't let you access the time machine room after you put the Indigo Disk into the panel, which is before the expedition to the deepest depths.
Wishful thinking….but maybe that could be a future legends game???? Our character is sent to the past/future from paldea. Probably not gonna happen but one can dream 😅
It's rather interesting that Sada appears to be more remorseful about abandoning Arven than Turo. While Sara showed a hint of sadness and worry, Turo showed no emotion at all. Like, he knew Arven was lonely, but he just could not be bothered.
so unless I'm hearing this wrong, this confirms that it is Time Travel and not making things from Dreams or desire. Either that or it means the Paradox Pokemon are from other Universes as opposed to different timelines.
I think it might actually be both, desire might still be a factor. I think Sada shows up because Miraidon/Koraidon still wishes to see her. Also the three antagonists from the first DLC all had a wish granted, it was specified in their info on the map during the quest. In the main game we also have Sada/Turo wishing to have a duplicate of themselves to work faster, and they manage to get it through the AI. They want to make the Time Machine, and still they managed to despite all difficulties. Maybe it's not like as the wish is granted the thing they want just pops out of nowhere, but most likely that Terapagos OR the crystals themselves sets a series of conditions to actually make that dream possible.
I came here just looking for a Milotic because I wanted one and was so caught off guard because I wasn’t prepared for this at all. Immediately ran to Arven who didn’t recognize the Scarlet Book as his mother’s. Not to mention the fact that we basically gave Sada the name for Koraidon in a sort of time loop.
After the second question I assumed that this was before Professor Sada ever built the Time Machine, so her breakthrough hadn’t happened yet when she was brought to us.
Omg we are the paradox! We tell the professors are legendaries name, then they go back to their proper time and name the pair and catches them. Fallowing up by us getting one of the two and learning the name form the professors AI
I think this Sada is from a different timeline, she has Arven already but she’s not even started building the time machine, whereas we know from her diary that, in our timeline, she discovered she was pregnant after having caught koraidon
@@connortg5 she mentions this event in her journal you find in Underdepths. "A child gave me the white tome..." indicating that either way, our Sada/Turo also went through this event. In the next one she mentions the AI and only in the next after that she mentions they pulled out Koraidon if I remember correctly.
No, they all are a part of it, but the point of bootstrap paradox is lack of point of origin. We give her the book because she has read it already and invented the time machine. It is a loop with everyone playing their part.
@@azk9218 but in violet in the same journal entry prof turo mentions that sada left him and the child... so i think that in scarlet prof turo left sada when arven was already born
The Raidons and Ogerpon have a lot of things in common: - Both had another trainer before meeting us. - Both were bullied by other pokemon. - Both their original trainers died. - Both are from a different time period (Koraidon/Ogerpon are from the past and Miraidon is from the future). - We teamed up with the Raidons to face their bullies and won, while Ogerpon's innocence was proven after we defeated the Lousy Three. (This may be a possible Team Star reference with the Dons playing the role of the squad bosses and Ogerpon being a Kitakami version of Cassieopeia). - Both consider us and their past trainers their greatest treasure.
I find it kinda weird that the game took us back to the title screen and brought us back to our dorm after this cutscene with her. I wonder why. I mean I talked to Arven and he implied that Sada is still dead, so I wonder why it reset like that.
So are we gonna have an ultra sun ultra moon alternate timeline where things are slightly different due to our white book? Or we gonna just move to the next gen the next time we get a Pokémon game?
Does anyone know where to find Team Star after this scene? I noticed as I was leaving my dorm room it showed some of the members looking for but when I go there, I can’t find them.
Hmm could this be part of the reason why the AI Professors trust us with Miraidon and Koraidon? Recognizing us as the owner of their Pokemon the original profs saw here?
In the post game of SV, Arven points out how the time machine was what caused Paradox Pokémon to show up during the events of the game. But at the same time, how strange it was for there to be documents of them in the S/V books BEFORE the prof created the time machine. Was that at all explained? Was Terapagos the reason they were around to be documented into the books before the Time Machine was invented?
The saddest part about this scene is that this removes all ambiguity of if the professor was good or evil…. We now know that despite what they did was wrong, despite their unhealthy obsession …. They were a good person that had good intentions … unfortunately we only get to know the true professor for a few minutes

While the professor may successfully create the machine in their own timeline, and while our professor may have been given the book from a player of another timeline, it's impossible for this sequence to create a closed self-fulfilling loop.
could they make another copy of their book? i mean it's their own work, they could have made another copy or even a revision of the book based on the one we gave them.
they did not, in fact, write the scarlet/violet book. @@pokemon15021
everyone saiyng its a closed loop then why she specifically said *another timeline* not just _another time_ ?
I would tell her to not enter research station 4
Might as well since she's from a timeline not connected.
@@UnwantedGhost1-anz25 Is she though? Atp this feels like the plot itself is a paradox loop
if she doesnt, no ride koraidon/miraidon (because it probably wouldve gotten killed in the scuffle)
And our psycho protagonist did not warn her about her death...
If we did, a big paradox might occur.
I just hope that at least Briar's book at least mentioned that the professor died young
As i said in the Prof Turo one... Even if its in another timeline, if this changed it for the better, saved the profs and made Arven happy...
There’s a new mythical Pokémon in the code called Pecharunt and it’s first form is what we expected the Dokutaro Pokémon to look like and it has a form where the peach is open and there’s a small thing inside it
Ooh, I wanna see that now!
So we find the Momotaro behind the three
A pit.
@@lucaruxyz1075 The pit is the Pokémon
@@TheArtzyAnimal I know, that's one way of describing the pit boi.
Wait….wouldn’t this mean that we can activate the Time Machine again?!!
I tried that. It just takes you down to the underdepths of area zero
Theoretically, yes, but the game doesn't let you access the time machine room after you put the Indigo Disk into the panel, which is before the expedition to the deepest depths.
So we can’t see the Time Machine anymore
Wishful thinking….but maybe that could be a future legends game???? Our character is sent to the past/future from paldea. Probably not gonna happen but one can dream 😅
Nope
I didn't hesitate on giving the book. I want chaos.
It's rather interesting that Sada appears to be more remorseful about abandoning Arven than Turo. While Sara showed a hint of sadness and worry, Turo showed no emotion at all. Like, he knew Arven was lonely, but he just could not be bothered.
I mean turo isn't the one giving birth to arven while sada literally had to endure so much just to bring him into her world.
@@imanrosohadi2125 To be fair, though, Sada gave birth to Arven just to dip immediately after.
@@imanrosohadi2125 True mothers are way more attached to kids than fathers
Thanks for saying “no” about giving her your book, i was wondering what would happen if you said “no”
It not often you meet a posthumous character from an older timeline in a game.
so unless I'm hearing this wrong, this confirms that it is Time Travel and not making things from Dreams or desire. Either that or it means the Paradox Pokemon are from other Universes as opposed to different timelines.
Yes, Paradox are future/past Pokémon from other timelines.
Her calling it the winged king confirmed it is paradox cyclizar as people in the past said the box art legends aren’t paradoxes
This is old news. The opposite version dex entries already gave Paradox codenames to the box legendaries.
@@wanderingmarshadow oh alright
Also I think she didn't. In the journal entry, she mentions that the other professor left when she was pregnant.
Koraidon looks like it's about to cry 😥
The Raidons and Ogerpon have a lot of things in common:
- Both had another trainer before meeting us.
I started crying almost 😢
She shows more emotion than turo when we mention family and the legendary dragon
Winged King is such a sick name
MC: (Let me not warn my friend's mom about the fact her obsession is going to get her killed and make him an orphan)
I find it kinda weird that the game took us back to the title screen and brought us back to our dorm after this cutscene with her. I wonder why. I mean I talked to Arven and he implied that Sada is still dead, so I wonder why it reset like that.
Let me say it this once, Koraidon is Winged King while Miraidon is Iron Lizard.
Actually, Miraidon is Iron Serpent. You're right for Koraidon tho.
Ohhh, gotcha! Gotcha! Gotcha.
@@saniaaf2251they are kinda right for koraidon the just forgot the, the in the winged king

So are we gonna have an ultra sun ultra moon alternate timeline where things are slightly different due to our white book? Or we gonna just move to the next gen the next time we get a Pokémon game?
We will most likely get a gen 5 remake that touches upon this theme as well
I would love that just like how in Moon, bringing Necrozma into our world caused the events that allowed Ultra Moon to happen.
Yyyeeeaaaahhhh about that, looks like a Legends game is coming up.
Does anyone know where to find Team Star after this scene? I noticed as I was leaving my dorm room it showed some of the members looking for but when I go there, I can’t find them.
When you enter naranja academy- go to your left. They are talking by a book case. They are in school uniform
Yeah I had trouble for a bit too lol, Eri looks great in her school uniform.
@@CaliburXL99well Penny did admit Eri was beautiful.
That happened to me too, I couldn't recognize them XD
I think the quote from Alan Wake 2 best fit's this whole time paradox thing going on. "It's not a loop, it's a spiral."
Maybe the professor should also gift the player Walking Wake too...!
If only arven was there at that moment
holy fuck the game is a time loop
It's not
@@WrenchNinja… it is tho
@@pookie87 It's literally not.
Hmm could this be part of the reason why the AI Professors trust us with Miraidon and Koraidon? Recognizing us as the owner of their Pokemon the original profs saw here?
So the paradox names of them are: Winged King and Iron Serpent
In the post game of SV, Arven points out how the time machine was what caused Paradox Pokémon to show up during the events of the game. But at the same time, how strange it was for there to be documents of them in the S/V books BEFORE the prof created the time machine.
Was that at all explained? Was Terapagos the reason they were around to be documented into the books before the Time Machine was invented?
The IA had Turo/Sada memories so this is why it started calling us throught the game? At same time it didn't look like knew us too.
The saddest part about this scene is that this removes all ambiguity of if the professor was good or evil….
We now know that despite what they did was wrong, despite their unhealthy obsession …. They were a good person that had good intentions … unfortunately we only get to know the true professor for a few minutes
Imagine if Volo appeared instead of the professor.
I wonder how Arven would feel if he get to see his mother (Scarlet) or father (Violet)?
I tried, but sadly no interaction as of yet
He would despise us lmao

Yeah it is, same for Iron Serpent
@@stallsunguy3064The video didn't show Miraidon and I have Scarlet so didn't know Miraidon's name.

@@raikaria3090 lmfao
@@raikaria3090 no, they were either named in the book itself or names were given to them by Occulture magazine. Winged King / Iron Serpent were already known names before this event. She most likely didn't have enough time to name the rest of them as things went out of control.

This is a stupid statement. You make it sound like talking to the real professor should've been a required feature. It's not a big deal.
@@Crystar500 Well, everything that happened in the DLC should have been apart of the base story in my opinion. There wasn't enough added story wise to pay for it.
