I came here in memory of JLo, and was pleasantly surprised to see current (as of July 2019) Philadelphia Eagles Left Tackle Jason Peters playing TE and catching clutch TDs and 2pt conversions. Wow. What a wild game.
@@TrillaDilla410 it was only a 3 possession game but Kentucky fans were already hitting the exits. He said “where y’all going? Y’all gonna miss a helluva game” Dude was so right
I was at this game and what amazed me about J-Load (UK QB) was that he was the freshest guy on the field after 7 OT's, quite impressive for a 300lb QB, who passed and ran.
It's a known fact that Jared's weight was always lied about, he was never under 300 but for a brief moment during the spring (under Guy Morris), when he got around 280. They listed him in the 260's that year and the announcers would just cackle at that listing - one even said "He's not an M&M under 300"
I remember these days!! Jared Lorenzen captured alot of ppl in the sports worlds attention because of his size at the QB position and his odd jersey number 22.....but he kept the attention after the novelty wore off because of his true grit, hard nose playing style and god given athletic ability....!!
You're right sir! That happened again this year, Duke vs. North Carolina State! You can see the videos here: www.espn.com/college-football/video?gameId=401234611 Unfortunately, it didn't reach the same level of wackiness as this game
Never been a Kentucky fan and will never be. I'm a die hard Razorbacks fan so nothing personal but I appreciated and was a Jared lorenzen fan . I always followed him and just wish the best for him cause I liked his style. I liked he was big and could play a position without the normal physical traits we think a qb should have. He was a winner and thats all I saw
I was there for this one. From pregame tailgating all the way thru to the heartbreaking final called fumble (which was caused by the ground apparently!). The bourbon flowed all night and it was a heckuva party. But my Cats came up just a little short. RIP Jared. You will be missed big guy. 😢
That's always going to happen in OT games. I've seen guys finish in regulation with 260 yards passing and 2 TDs. They finish the game with 300 pass yards and 5 TDs.
@@WARMACHINE2013 Indeed he was. I had to look him up after watching your vid. Solid numbers for the jags but he got into drugs. He could have been something special.
I can't see how his knee wasn't down by the time that he fumbled. It was as if he was down and he was just reaching out to get a better spot (like everybody does). Anyway, that was a great game with so many clutch plays.
Even if they had ruled him down (why they didn't I have no idea) he would have still been short of the first down and the game would have been over regardless.
I'm a Razorbacks fan because my Aunt works at Arkansas and a Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan because my Mother works at Notre Dame-so between the Hogs and the Irish I'm amazed I haven't died of a heart attack yet.
Lorenzen should've zipped it over to the guy on his right. There was an Arkansas defender shadowing that guy but I think he could've gone toward the sideline and got at least a 1st down, if not a TD.
Awesome game! I watched that entire game on my honeymoon. My wife just now reminded me that we got married in 2002. I guess I watched the OT game the year before. San Francisco was great. GO HOGS! BRING BOBBY BACK!!! I promise he'll behave and might even go to church as long as it's a mid-afternoon service and you can wear sweat pants; but not on Saturdays. My name is Barbara and I'd like to make you an offer.
Brett Hoxie it's legal. Ole Miss QB Shea Patterson wears like 22 or something, and former Michigan QB Devin Gardner wore #98, it was strange to see 😂😂😂
It's recommended that all backs (quarterbacks, halfbacks, fullbacks) wear numbers from 1 to 49, centers wear numbers in the 50s, offensive guards wear numbers in the 60s, offensive tackles wear numbers in the 70s, and ends/receivers wear numbers from 80 to 99. Defensive numbers can wear any number they want, and two players can also share the same number as long as they don't play during the same down.
RIP Lorenzen. Thanks for the memory of this game. Go Hogs!
I think what you meant to say is go CATS #22 💪💪💪💪
RIP JLo. This game was all I needed to know how much fight you had in you. Stayed up way late to see this game to the end. God speed.

Yea it's crazy... I'm a razorback fan. So I was surprised that he turned into an All-Pro Olineman... College football was CRAZY in the 2000's
RIP Jared Lorenzen, this game reminded me when you told those fans that left early, you're going to miss a helluva game! #bbn gonna miss ya #22

As soon as the 2nd overtime started, I was thinking this was Ole Miss 2001 all over again. No frickin way!!! And then YES WAY OMG!!!
Arkansas will forever be the Kings of Overtime
Chris Foster except against Texas A&M
Chris Foster unless they're playing Texas A&M
Still the Kings!

That game was longer than this one lol
Personally Arky vs Kentucky 7OT is better, classic, and longer
NFL should have OT like this
"KING" Of Kings Gaming used to. E like this
Now a days NFL scouts would DROOL about a prospect like Matt Jones playing qb
Too bad the jags screwed it up big time

Even if that hadn't been called a fumble he was going to be short of the first down anyways.
All of our (Arkansas) players look bigger, faster, more coordinated, and better coached than they do now.

24 points in regulation is not bad, actually.

sweet. can't wait for the game this weekend.
Arkansas's QB is an absolute unit. How is he not only the tallest player on the field but to my eyes the fastest as well?

@ 2:15 No call on roughing the kicker..AT KENTUCKY?
It's not roughing if the ball is tipped/blocked. Same thing with pass interference and a ball being tipped.

why did they go for 2 during the OT? is there no Extra points in OT?
Starting in the third OT, by rule, teams have to go for two.

Why wouldnt Kentucky kick the extra point and win it in the 5th overtime?
Because the rule is that after the third overtime you have to go for 2 no matter what.
Oh I never knew that, thanks for telling me :)
You have to go for two points after the 2nd overtime actually. It starts with the 3rd overtime.
Yea, I meant to say starts in the third OT. Just realized I said after.
