      And then, sometimes you have six quarterbacks selected in the first round, all of them with pretty decent pro careers and three gold jackets. Just saying that you’re gonna get five QBs in the top 16 picks and maybe six in the first round. I’d bet all but the Patriots QB do well.

    Sometimes the intangibles can tell you a lot more than production. You always hear JJ talking about whatever he can do for the team to win ball games. That's what he cares about. Fantastic leader, always working on his game, which was evident at his pro day. Near perfect footwork. Sick of people bringing up the Penn State game. He was injured and played through it. Did they win that game? Yes. That's what matters to him. 34-2 in high school with 2 championships. 27-1 at Michigan with a National Championship. Better in every critical situation than Drake Maye. Against the blitz, YPA, explosive play rate, 3rd downs, etc. Do your research. Not saying he's going to be better than any other QB, just saying there are many reasons teams are loving him so much.

Lots of shall I say, new or younger fans, don't realize the guy was putting together top scouting reports way before you could just dial up tape on the internet. I like to remind people every year that although Mel gets picks wrong (so does every scout or analyst) he does put together his own list of top players, something that I guarantee not a single RUclips critic could do on their own. For me, I find Mel entertaining, his job is not to prognosticate with100% accuracy, his job is to entertain us, get us excited about the draft. He has such conviction and self assurance in his picks, and it's that fact why he gets so much hate.

    @nicholaskorst3507 2 месяца назад

    I love and respect Joe Klatt. He fair and balanced when talking about college players. He doesn’t just get stuck regurgitating the same narrative the other people who talk college football. But Daniel Jeremiah I don’t understand this dudes thinking. If you have seen his mock draft it just doesn’t make sense. I think it would take way more that Minnesota is willing to give up to budge Arizona off that 4th pick. Why? They don’t need the draft capital. It’s kind of like what we saw with Seattle over the past two seasons. They weren’t trading down because they didn’t need to they had the draft capital. Arizona has 5 picks in the first 2 days. They will and should take the best player on the board which happens to be a position they need and that is WR Marvin Harrison Jr. Look Nabers and Odunze are going to be solid pros but MHJ is generational. I hope he is right and they do trade the pick as a Seahawks fan I don’t want to see Arizona land MHJ. But unfortunately I don’t see this as a possibility. Then to see the chargers also pass up on MHJ and trade the pick to the Jets makes me believe either DJ is a Jets fan or he needs to be drug tested immediately.
    I am thinking a trade will be done by Patriots or Chargers with the Vikings. If Patriots think they can get McCarthy at 11 they will do the trade. Then the Patriots will also have a chance to add a legit WR1 with their second 1st rd pick.
    Also I believe the Bears and the Jets trade down. Bears will need a lot more draft picks. I won’t be surprised if the Bengals swap picks with the Jets but the Jets may throw in a future 2 or 3 and the Bengals add Higgins on top of their pick 18. Jets are all in this year they need proven weapons for Rodgers. Bengals will draft Odunze at 10 and the Jets will draft UW OL Troy Fautanu at 18 where he will start out at G and maybe in a year or two could slide over to T.
    If Seattle truly wants a QB it’s one guy and one guy only and that is Michael Penix. But they need to hop the Raiders to get this guy. The Denver Broncos are in some financial trouble after letting Wilson go. Plus they need draft capital. So Denver is an obvious team wanting to trade out of 12. I think Den makes a trade with Seattle. I believe Seattle got Howell as a trade commodity. Denver was one of the teams trying to trade for Howell as well. I believe Seattle will send Howell plus their pick and maybe the Seahawks later 4th. Howell has 2 years left on his deal making less than a million per year. He’s a proven starter who can take a beating and was having a pretty good first season starting until the team just gave up. By getting Howell they have a cheap QB and can use the next couple of years to clear all that dead money from Wilsons contract. I also think Denver will trade the pick they got from Seattle a couple more times and Denver doesn’t make their pick until the early part of 2nd round. Seattle will get QB Penix. Penix has been working out with Geno Smith and Smith has indicated he is cool with Seattle drafting a young QB. Not to mention his OC from college is now the OC for the Seahawks. If you made it this far I thank you for taking the time.

    The funniest part is all of the fans/media complaining about JJ only watched the last few games of 2023 when JJ was playing hurt.
    They don’t realize his advanced stats are elite and top 1-2 in this class, and he was the offense for the last 3 games of 2022 and first 7 games of 2023.
    At the end of the day his counting stats aren’t as high because he played in a much less QB friendly offense and would sit by the 3rd quarters in games because of blowouts.
    Look at his cut ups, and look at his advanced stats and it’s obvious he belongs among the top 3

    QB's have always been important, but the way the game is played now has led to the insane desire to take one high, ignoring whether he's worth one of the top picks. Just because guys are coming out and you think you need a QB, doesn't mean you have to take one of them. Also, it would be nice if analysts lost their jobs for bad opinions like coaches and GM's do for bad picks.

    Agree with everything you guys say about Penix, BUT, I think he’s a glass house. After watching what Michigan’s defense did to him physically and how that affected him, I think he’s a high risk pick due to injury.

      @@user-zk3tg1ws4q I agree. His talent can’t be ignored and I’d even argue that he put up good numbers against Michigan. My point was more about him having suffered some serious leg injuries in his past and clearly they were brought to light in that title game. I just worry about his longevity in the game at the Pro level. One more serious leg injury and he’s going to be much less mobile. Probably the best passer we’ve seen come out in a long time however.

    washington and NE have trash lines. Terrible locations to go for anyone...NE has no WR that would be wr 4 on any team in the league...picking at 1,2,3 does not = a HOF qb...the top 10 list of qbs every year is chock full of picks 6-15 way more so than picks 1-5....get a bloody line, get weapons then you can actually be ready for a rookie. The nfls desire to get a franchise savior is just stupid...if you dont give a young qb a chance to succeed they more often than not wont...
