- The day I caught my first Golden Trout. Meaning I have now caught every species at Tavistock. That's, Rainbow, Brown, Blue, Tiger, Sparctic and Golden. I'm so happy! Such a great fishery and always made to feel very welcome. I can't recommend it enough.

Hi. Love watching your videos, & the golden trout, magnificent !!!. It does make me nervous however as you walk through the trees with you rod facing forward, I lost a rod tip once doing just that, a moment of lost concentration & snap! Derick.
Thank you Derick. It certainly was a stunning fish. My first ever. I have to say I worry myself while editing watching me walk with my rod too. But touch wood.. I'll keep on being lucky
Love Tavistock only fished it 2-3 times when I get a chance to be in the area …. They do put some nice fish in there and the ticket price is still very reasonable
I love it there. Think I may ease off now as I've caught every Trout breed they offer. Will always look to improve my PB's though. Great place. Best in Devon for sure.
Now to head to dever springs and hit the big trout
I'm thinking about that. It's only two hours away from me so might head up there in November. Need to up my PB from 12lb. Have you finished it?
