The Modern Hermeticist thank you for an awesome podcast , i really loved every sec. A wealth of occult info , shows much research and precision in the study , and Dan is spot on with everything. Thx again .
A few corrections:
1) your youtube address at the top of the description should read "themodernhermeticist" not "themodernhermetics"
2) video title reads "My Chemical Bromance" instead of "My Alchemical Bromance"
Great content as always!
Thank you!
The part about nominalism was almost mind-blowing and really helped me understand that magical worldview. Old pieces all came together in a new way and the picture just makes so much sense. This was a great piece! c:
I always feel like I lose people when I get into nominalism and the destruction of magical thinking, so thank you for this.
This upload just saved my mind from the abyss.
I'm sorry you're in the abyss, but I'm glad we could help.
I am relatively new to the study of the Occult and therefore I am late to the party on this podcast. That being said I found this a fascinating discussion that was informative on many fronts and also revealing when wiping away the dust created by time itself. Historically it was important to realize how essential the world view at the time was to the writing and practice of magic. I never realized it as profoundly until your lucid voice of reality cleared my mind of imaginings. It was a bit shattering to hear you speak of nominalism and its affect on magical thinking. I will seek out your version of the Picatrix and I look forward to shedding more light on travels. Many thanks.
Cheers, thanks for listening, I talk about this a fair deal throughout my material so just lurk around a bit and you'll find more.
Thank you for your contributions!

I want to come at it clean. = :;)! Ye, ea -ahh.
Close to Sabbatai Zevi..the Sabbeans?? Same as Sabbateans??
If anything, I think "Sabean" is related to the word "Sheba" (like Queen of Sheba in the Old Testament)
Who is David Engree?
This talk goes in a direction of technicality and doesn’t really go deep into the actual power or picatrix i.e pure history
It's Montpellier pronounce right please.
@Kal Satanas EXACTLY!
It's pronounced "mon peu lié", fairly hard to pronounce on english. "Mon (like montenegro) pe (like pursue "pur" "pu" makes a "peu" sound) liay (lié, the é sounds like the end of "Perrier" if you can't really pronounce french sounds
Mmm hmm mmm hmmmmmm mmm hmm. Terrible laughable
