Dan, early in the Encyclopedia Hermetica series you talked about your goal to create a liberal education that was entertaining. I think you have succeeded thus far, as I always light up when you upload a video. more than that, the information you give on your podcast has literally reprogrammed my brain to think differently when reading about science, culture, politics, and religion.
Your efforts and energy are genuinely appreciated, and I'm sure i'm not the only one here cheering for more videos.
1:33:20 There was not concept like pedophilia in ancient Greece, in one of the myths versions, Orpheus did not want to copulate with woman anymore (be part of life-death cycle) and thats why, Maenads - priestesses of mysterium, tore him apart in the act of sparagmos, which is in my opinion, the topos of final union with the monad, which can seems like brutal punishment and usually it is shown as one, in greek myths, but it is also inevitable goal of every body. Thats how i interpret it, but i do not know greek, im open to other opinions. Thank you for great content.

one thing I notice is that the cosmic mechanisms that would need to be in place for these kinds of reincarnation scenarios seem so obviously humancentric in the way they are conceived of operating and structured, almost like going to the DMV or something. these upper level environments that suppose so much design. they resemble NOTHING else we can observe in the universe. it just entangles itself back into the infinite regress or who created the creator that christians or other creationists find themselves stuck in and end up pulling some special card like God has always existed outside of time... yet somehow can create. it just seems so much more likely like they are the product of a human brain grasping for existential comfort in the face of mortal self-awareness.

I tend to disagree with some of these concepts...these tend to be dogmatic in explanation... I believe we are not finite, neither are other sentient beings...grasping hermetic principles as well as alchemic thought death is but a process...release of earthly possession, pre-cocieved ideals...growth of the self through knowing one's self...these topics are far too important for this medium...a far too educated scholar talking with not so educated individuals...nice try, and thank you for your time and effort...93's

Not really, it is the difference between belief and symbolic representation of belief, eg. alchemists viewed spirit as mercury, because this metal in its usuall earthly state, does not have any shape, it adopts the shape of its container, just like the spirit inside the body
