Yes you get scammed but in reality what you are doing is helping someone who has very little feed themselves and their family. With that knowledge I have helped wow a few people who I have no intention of meeting
I used to do online dating and for some reason only matched with women in the Philippines. I’m a piano teacher/pianist that lived on a sailboat at the time (I live in a school bus now). Most of the women I talked to were completely cool with my lifestyle. There was one that was a marine biologist that I talked to a lot, we eventually started talking on Instagram, but Facebook randomly deleted my Facebook and Instagram profiles and I lost contact with her. Maybe someday I’ll just go to the Philippines and meet someone. I haven’t met anyone I’m interested in here in the US in a long time.
You know its funny. I was never a fan of meeting someone online. However I gave it a try after breaking up with my ex wife who was cheating on me during my deployment to the Iraqi war. Subsequently I got myself stationed in Korea after my deployment. When I arrived in Korea I observed that a good deal of my Soldiers were married to Filipinas. One of my higher ranking Sergeants was a Pilipino. He taught me a lot about the culture. Long story short, I met this filipina online. She never had a boyfriend at the age of 27. I was shocked. How is this possible? But it was true. She was visayan. I traveled to the Philippines and met her family. We latter got married. 13 years later we are still married and living in the States with a Son who is a very guapo and intellegent. 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo at the age of 12 and proficient in the Philippine martial arts style of stick fighting. Marrying my asawa was the best decision I could have ever made. I look forward to visiting the Philippines again. I hear it is a lot of fun during Christmas and New Years. PS: I have been following your videos. You are wise beyond your years. ingat ka palagi. Oh by the way , I sent my asawa to school. She is a Nurse. I had no idea that there were so many Filipino nurses in the States. Wow.

I managed a call center in Manila. Many of my employees would DM asking me how to immigrate to the US. I told them that the quickest way would be to get a nursing degree or become a Catholic priest. Both are occupations that are i short supply here.

I would ring up and I would get that gorgeous sexy accent "Good Morning Vodaphone faults here, XXX speaking, how may we help you". to which I would reply "Oh baby, just keep talking" and they would laugh. Dam sexyist accent that there is, then I'd say Magandang umaga, kamusta. They like New Zealand, and when I tell them how much I love the Philippines, and the nature of the people I can hear how proud they are of their country. I'd usually end up spending a good 20 minutes chatting. Getting good tips on where to go that I hadn't been.

Hi Pea thanks for another informative video. I was married for a long time and after a difficult divorce picked myself up and found love in Thailand via Tinder lol. Life was great at the start but ended after 18 months due to trust issues. I have learnt to stay single now for 3 years back in Australia. I hope to find an Asian partner while traveling around this time independent of a dating site also for the reasons you have outlined. I just want to meet a "normal" partner who wants to grow old with somebody. I thought that is what a marriage is so I hope to try again one day...if not, I will enjoy the single life!

Before this video i did what she is recommending and found a 36yr OLD(old in Phillipines yrs) beautiful woman. No games, all love. Resist being the savior type and go for OFW. Shows independence.
The money issues are way different this year she won’t ask for money but she might need just a few dollars for help because of the lockdown you have to decide this for yourself. She may not be able to work and if I had a partner I would not let them go hungry.Because of past rules?

We met in college, became friends, then I went to live in Thailand for over six years while I learned her country's language and culture. Interesting observations of profiles. A person can be anything they want to be behind a computer screen. Caution when online dating and don’t make any decisions until meeting in person. Not just once but several times. Guys with a lot of money might be successful in springing the trap but the ending might not be a fairy tale. Sometimes I feel that filipinas are so anxious to have a better lifestyle that they overlook caution. I know a lot of mixed marriages here and I will say most work out well even though the filipina has to put up with a lot of crap but her culture and situation seems to overcome. Great work. Personally I've tried online dating. Had more luck with "I'm not here for sex" types. Of course that's all they wanted. Eventually I gave up. I wasn't finding anyone interested in building a friendship/relationship. Seems most are broken in some unacceptable way. There's a huge difference in an unacceptable brokenness and the usual divorce or relationship failure. Most all of us have had the failures, that why we're dating.😏 Haven't looked at the site in months. It's like an encouraging disappointment. Get interested in someone that has responded only to find out they live too far away or some other impractical issue. I find life is better and more content without that app on my phone. I can focus on improving myself and my life without the distraction of trying to find someone. My "someone" will reveal herself at the right time. 😁

I found a young Filipina on a page almost ten months ago and I was myself. She accepted me for me and now the two of us are deeply in love. So far our relationship has been an LDR, but our feelings for each other are genuine. I'm older and I've been to the Philippines many times when I was younger and in the U.S. Navy, so knowing something about the Philippine culture helped in our relationship. We are looking forward to the day when I can fly to P.I. to become united. I've been doing my research and I will be prepared for the day when we get married. My advice is for a man to be himself for like you said, not all Filipinas have experienced some of what life has to offer and most Filipinas just want a good man they can live a simple life with.

Clay, you may gave some other unintended messages coming through that screw things up for you. I’m no expert, but learned from a lot of mistakes and what suddenly started going right for me. Be the sort of person you want to attract. Kill any thoughts of being needy or it will poison any attraction you have. Concentrate on being positive and understanding. Fake that until you believe it yourself if you have to. Smile when you communicate, even if you’re texting and no one but you sees it, you’ll be amazed how much it shines through!

So much good information and great humour. You might have mentioned that when a Filipina say she's divorced on her profile, she probably isn't. I've learnt this from personal experience and, after lots of watching for the borders to open and the virus under control, it wasn't until I found a suitable flight and messaged that I would book the next day that she explained he situation as separated and waiting for an annulment which could take years. Over the previous few months, I had told her that I hoped to see her in the spring. I'm patient and would happily wait until it is possible but I fear that our online communication might lead to boredom and will be difficult to sustain for so long.

Валерий Соловьев I do credit the Filipino culture for raising feminine women that have basic common sense. There’s definite more family orientation there vs career, materialism and other annoying distractions (but choose wisely as every rule has exceptions). I never doubted my Filipina wife. She took care of her side of things as I took care of mine. Now, we’ve accomplished much as we head into the golden years.

I used to do online dating and for some reason only matched with women in the Philippines. I’m a piano teacher/pianist that lived on a sailboat at the time (I live in a school bus now). Most of the women I talked to were completely cool with my lifestyle. There was one that was a marine biologist that I talked to a lot, we eventually started talking on Instagram, but Facebook randomly deleted my Facebook and Instagram profiles and I lost contact with her. Maybe someday I’ll just go to the Philippines and meet someone. I haven’t met anyone I’m interested in here in the US in a long time.
You know its funny. I was never a fan of meeting someone online. However I gave it a try after breaking up with my ex wife who was cheating on me during my deployment to the Iraqi war. Subsequently I got myself stationed in Korea after my deployment. When I arrived in Korea I observed that a good deal of my Soldiers were married to Filipinas. One of my higher ranking Sergeants was a Pilipino. He taught me a lot about the culture. Long story short, I met this filipina online. She never had a boyfriend at the age of 27. I was shocked. How is this possible? But it was true. She was visayan. I traveled to the Philippines and met her family. We latter got married. 13 years later we are still married and living in the States with a Son who is a very guapo and intellegent. 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo at the age of 12 and proficient in the Philippine martial arts style of stick fighting. Marrying my asawa was the best decision I could have ever made. I look forward to visiting the Philippines again. I hear it is a lot of fun during Christmas and New Years.

I managed a call center in Manila. Many of my employees would DM asking me how to immigrate to the US. I told them that the quickest way would be to get a nursing degree or become a Catholic priest. Both are occupations that are i short supply here.

Dam sexyist accent that there is, then I'd say Magandang umaga, kamusta. They like New Zealand, and when I tell them how much I love the Philippines, and the nature of the people I can hear how proud they are of their country. I'd usually end up spending a good 20 minutes chatting. Getting good tips on where to go that I hadn't been.

Hi Pea thanks for another informative video. I was married for a long time and after a difficult divorce picked myself up and found love in Thailand via Tinder lol. Life was great at the start but ended after 18 months due to trust issues. I have learnt to stay single now for 3 years back in Australia. I hope to find an Asian partner while traveling around this time independent of a dating site also for the reasons you have outlined. I just want to meet a "normal" partner who wants to grow old with somebody. I thought that is what a marriage is so I hope to try again one day...if not, I will enjoy the single life!

Interesting observations of profiles. A person can be anything they want to be behind a computer screen. Caution when online dating and don’t make any decisions until meeting in person. Not just once but several times. Guys with a lot of money might be successful in springing the trap but the ending might not be a fairy tale. Sometimes I feel that filipinas are so anxious to have a better lifestyle that they overlook caution. I found a young Filipina on a page almost ten months ago and I was myself. She accepted me for me and now the two of us are deeply in love. So far our relationship has been an LDR, but our feelings for each other are genuine. I'm older and I've been to the Philippines many times when I was younger and in the U.S. Navy, so knowing something about the Philippine culture helped in our relationship. We are looking forward to the day when I can fly to P.I. to become united. I've been doing my research and I will be prepared for the day when we get married. My advice is for a man to be himself for like you said, not all Filipinas have experienced some of what life has to offer and most Filipinas just want a good man they can live a simple life with.

We KNOW that women respond COMPLETELY DIFFERENTLY to this than we men do. Many guys would admit to rejecting a heart of gold profile simply because the attached photo gave them no incentive to read it! Using dating site global search functions for sorting: men are more apt to enter physical characteristics than CHARACTER characteristics. At least where an initial search is concerned. As you suggest, women see it a bit differently. In the LOOK department, there are 3 judgement groups:
1. HAS to be brutally handsome.

Clay, you may gave some other unintended messages coming through that screw things up for you. I’m no expert, but learned from a lot of mistakes and what suddenly started going right for me. Be the sort of person you want to attract. Kill any thoughts of being needy or it will poison any attraction you have. Concentrate on being positive and understanding. Fake that until you believe it yourself if you have to. Smile when you communicate, even if you’re texting and no one but you sees it, you’ll be amazed how much it shines through!

Interesting topic Pea giving us all plenty to think about. I think I probably fit best into the traditionalist category but I guess online dating is more about how you are perceived rather than how you see yourself. I do have an online profile just now as I created it before the pandemic with a view to an imminent visit but then things go turned upside down somewhat. So much good information and great humour. You might have mentioned that when a Filipina say she's divorced on her profile, she probably isn't. I've learnt this from personal experience and, after lots of watching for the borders to open and the virus under control, it wasn't until I found a suitable flight and messaged that I would book the next day that she explained he situation as separated and waiting for an annulment which could take years.
Over the previous few months, I had told her that I hoped to see her in the spring. I'm patient and would happily wait until it is possible but I fear that our online communication might lead to boredom and will be difficult to sustain for so long.

There’s definite more family orientation there vs career, materialism and other annoying distractions (but choose wisely as every rule has exceptions). I never doubted my Filipina wife.
