Hi, I just bought the LV damier ebene favorite pm at the fashionphile at the San Diego flagship store. At the store it looked superb and no scratches on the hardware. Once home I took a video in the mirror to show my daughters and I noticed what looks like a ‘fold’ on the front flap where the firm strip is for the magnetic closure. I was shocked. I really love the bag otherwise. Have you seen this before? I know you’re very experienced in luxury bags. Thank you ❤
I thought the damier ebene favorite was discontinued, but yes that is a known problem and is why I sold my monogram one a long time ago...♥️

Hardware protectors are the WORST thing you can do to your hardware. There will come a point when they breakdown and mold to the hardware and you can’t remove them and they discolor the hardware. I’m fine with scratches - it’s part of the bags story.
I have had good luck with all of mine - these are acid free and designed to go on automotive paint, withstand heat, and be removed with no damage...however there are no guarantees! I think opinions are pretty split on this topic - Jessie Style actually had one pull the coating off of a Hermes bag, which is awful. I have installed and removed mine after a period of time on a pochette métis, a monogram favorite mm, and the Croisette....The Pochette métis & Croisette had had them on for quite a while and looked perfect after removal. The Croisette was fine too, but had been there for much less time. I kind of feel like if you replace them somewhat regularly it will be fine, but that's just a guesstimate on my part...people just have to decide what is important to them and be willing to live with the consequences🥰...thanks so much for watching and commenting, Gene!!!
