Oh Man, what a sound. When I heard it first time, it was like listening to the sound of a Lexus LFA and that is one of the best sounding cars of all time.
How pathetic the other manufacturers look next to this vehicle. Who is supposed to get close to it? The only one that comes close is Porsche: a lot of programme for a relatively SMALL penny - in relation to this work of art. To all other enthusiasts: what does your favourite manufacturer deliver? A gearstick lever like this? A seat like this? Or just red toggle switches and 22 dials on the steering wheel? Why does this car get by with so little - and thin? And, what makes it all the crazier: how close is the car to the first example! Gordon Murray has put a car on his own wheels for at least the third time, something you usually only see in studies that can never be bought. An absolute work of art. In my opinion, it belongs in the MOMA as a motorised one next to the Italjet Pack 2 ;) I will tell Mr Murray personally, I promise....
As a car designer graduated from Coventry University WHILE the original F1 was bing built......I can truly say.....worth the wait Gordon. Thank you for throwing your DNA back in the ring for all the right reasons. Thank you for a signature for us to treasure as our years roll on. God bless you sir!
Regardless of what car sounds better. Can we just applaud the entire team that designed and manufactured this technical masterpiece. This is a British company. Think of the poster of this car going up in young kids walls inspiring the future generation. Just inspirational.
As a British millennial, this is first time I've ever felt patriotic about the UK in 30 years of life. WE FINALLY TRULY MADE SOMETHING, AND ITS BEAUTIFUL IN EVERYWAY
@furai. we make tons of stuff, jet fighters, nuclear submarines, design the worlds microchips fitted to almost all smart phones, aircraft carriers, communications satellites and nearly all f1 cars.
Ollie's genuine reactions at the start of the video says it all... I have not lusted after a new car in the last 25 years more than this and T.33.... absolute masterpieces.
The car was crazy quick. When Dario hit 11500 in 5th he was already going 285 kmph and the redline is at 300 kmph. This is in around 17 sec with no launch, manual shifts and the weight of 2 extra passengers.
Finest sounding road car for sure…..you cannot beat naturally aspirated engine with the manual box for pure driving thrill and experience. Personally I love its modest looks…
I'm a guy who goes for looks every single time. But to my predilections this and the LFA alone stand as an exception. LFA because of its sound, this because of its sound and the sheer bravery of Gordon to give every petrolhead everything they may have wanted. My favorite car is the McLaren F1 and it may never change. I think GMA will give us many more surprises for years to come.
This is hands down the best sounding production car made today, nothing else comes close. Plus there's the bonus of knowing it sounds good because it IS good, not because it just trying to be "cool".
@@XAV-117 Okay, the LFA sounds absolutely beautiful, I agree. Not sure I'd say it's better than the T.50, they're kind on a par for me, but I did also say the T.50 was the best sounding car "made today" and the LFA has been out of production for years now.
It’s something that no EV super car can ever replicate. Car heaven - mid engine NASP manual - just a drop top is missing for me for perfection. What a sound and what a thrill to go to 12000 rpm. I thought my Ferrari manual almost to 9000 redline was incredible- can’t imagine 12000. But this video allows us to live vicariously through Dario. Tip of the hat to Gordon Murray. Amazing.

@@KevindusT360 Mr. Mthembu, I don't think you get it. You can buy faster. There's plenty of drag strip cars that'll do a quarter mile in less than seven seconds. But that's all they do. There's super cars with bigger engines. But they're horrible to drive in the real world. Too wide. Too low. Too hard. The T50 does it all.
@@KevindusT360 There are far faster track cars, that are horrible to use on the public road. There are outrageous shouty supercars, for people who care about what passers-by think. Hell, if you want straight line speed, you can buy a mass-produced four-door family EV that will out-accelerate any road car with an engine. But the T.50 is the pinnacle for those of us who care more about having a daily-driveable car that puts a massive grin on their face. It's not about performance, it's about driver enjoyment. It's not for everyone. For me? There are few combustion-engined cars that excite me at this point. Money no object, the T.50 is the one I'd have in my garage, alongside something more boring for the more tedious day-to-day.
@@davidblake1663 Mr Blake.I get it this car is overpriced. At the price point of $3 million this is no longer a supercar its a hypercar and it is not the"peak combustion performance car"Hypercars such as Pagani,Hennessey,Koenigsegg offer that hypercar thrill this doesn't.They actually push boundaries and are capable track cars not only straight line speed. If your argument is that it does it all I would argue there are Porsches on sale today that do the whole performance, driver engagement and daily driver thing extremely well at a lower price point Value for money this car isn't it.I can name Lamborghinis,Ferraris and Porsches that offer more performance for less money. They probably don't offer driver enjoyment being that they DCTs but you do find manual Porsches which can offer that enjoyment this car is overpriced and overhyped.
I love Gordon for his desire to make supercars useable. I read an article on the F1 many years ago by a journalist who used it to go to Tesco because it was so easy to drive. The F50 clearly continues that everyday characteristic and encourages people to drive it for pootling about, although at my age getting in it would be more than challenging. What I really liked was Dario's (a fellow Jock) evident concentration on the road, helped by being in front of his nattering passengers. I don't talk when I drive beyond monosyllabic grunts to the wife to stop telling me what to do. But what really made me laugh were the tyres. Buy a £3m car and worry about the cost of the tyres. It's wonderful, but completely bizarre.
Ollie Marriage asks far more clever questions than the other dude. And notices things. And doesn't say stuff like "you wouldn't wanna stick your finger in there".

A M A Z I N G !!! I didn't like it at first, but now it's growing on me. It's such a clever supercar, so beautifully engineered... And the sound of that engine. ABSURD!!
Same. I REALLY wanted to like it, but it just left me cold at first. It has such a legacy to uphold, and my faith just wasn't there. It HAS succeeded though, thankfully!!!
I think the interior design/seat placement are really underrated here, to fit 3 seats in a hypercar that's already super stripped down to barebones essentials is really impressive.
What an engineering masterpiece. 12k RPM and manual transmission is just insane. Their faces were pure shock, Gordon Murray out did the F1 which means he did the impossible. Again.
When Dario hit 11500 in 5th he was going past 290 kmph as per the gearing. That was in 17 sec with no launch, manual shifts and 2 passengers to add weight. I don't know if he used Vmax mode, which adds another 50 HP for 2 min from the ISG. This is hypercar quick, it's faster than the Holy Trinity. Maybe balls out with no passengers it may outrun a 765 LT, which is faster than a P1.
@@KevindusT360 even for chasing speed records, its not necesary Power to weight ratio is what make a car go fast, this is why bikes will always be faster than cars, because of their great power to weight ratio
Phenomenal.... What Gordon Murray can do with a car is unreal. His record speaks for itself, a true design icon .... This car with the help of his team and Dario (legend) is truly something to behold. Anyone that says this car doesn't sound good has to go have their hearing checked, it sounds incredible. To get an engine designed for a road car to rev to 12k is unheard of. I just wish I had the money to afford one of these or the T33.
Magnificent, love everything about it especially the engine and gearbox. 22:45 this is what electric car people don’t understand, the numbers mean nothing.
Electric cars like Teslas etc are wicked fast from a standing start but race one with a rolling start from 80mph -150mph and they fall flat on their faces.
At 70-75 kg each, they might add 220 kg so yeah, almost 25%. The T50 still hit 290 kmph in 5th at 11500 on the first run. 17 sec with no launch, and manual shifts.
Amazing how Murray used his favorite modern sports car, his daily, the attainable Alpine A110 to benchmark both his million dollar T.50 and T.33 supercars. Never be able to afford a GMA car but sure makes me want to try an Alpine. Unfortunately not exported to the US
I saw one in Japan last week. Cool car. Gordon benchmarked the NSX for the F1. Tsuchiya was also very impressed with the Alpine. There must be something special about it
I watched an earlier feature while the car was under development. My takeaway: If you thought Pagani had an attitude you haven't met Murray. After watching this video I could at least identify one authentic feature: skinny jeans - the uniform of submission to current days global turmoil since C-19. The signature of St.Johns Wood and Camden residents.
I was lucky to see this car on an English motorway about a month ago while taking the bus from school. I was so confused when I saw it because I had never really seen anything like it. However, a few google searches later and I found out just how lucky I was to see one of these! Fantastic car!
Looks are always subjective but I agree with you. Like the F1, it's a functional car, not a beautiful one. That fits with GM's philosophy so it's fine. But in my opinion, they've sacrificed the proportions to create decent-sized luggage pods. To my eyes, the back wheels look too far back. The car looks chubby, not taut, around the haunches.

This was a hyped up car that didn't think would deliver but boy I was so wrong!! Love it and definitely will go down as one of the greats. Gordon is a visionary. This is one of the best supercars that have come out in the recent years. Also, I envy the house-fly that has hitch-hiked on this ride.
Oh Man, what a sound. When I heard it first time, it was like listening to the sound of a Lexus LFA and that is one of the best sounding cars of all time.
This is astonishingly better, I never thought anything would top that.
Sounded average at Goodwood to be fair
In my opinion, it belongs in the MOMA as a motorised one next to the Italjet Pack 2 ;)
I will tell Mr Murray personally, I promise....
Love the sound and how compact and at the same time you can have 2 more people sharing the driving experience with you.
Hats off!

Everyone is talking about the engine but those straight cut gears are 🤤
For a car like this I would've expected herringbone gears tbh
@@Emira_75 British cars are the most beautiful machines I have ever set eyes upon
Looks great except for the headlights but i’m sure in time they’ll grow on me like past cars have.
Might just have to put up posters on my kids' walls while they're at school!
Well done to Cosworth for making a V12 and the genius Gordon Murray.
Quite possibly the best supercar of the century, the emotion and driver engagement is amazing and everything about it is perfect
The first 30 seconds actually gave me whole body goosebumps. What a thing!
Sounds JUST like a 90s F1 car! My all time fave era!
Literally at a loss for words to explain how magical this car sounds!! What a car! n/a all day!
This is hands down the best sounding production car made today, nothing else comes close. Plus there's the bonus of knowing it sounds good because it IS good, not because it just trying to be "cool".
I’ve always said that and you’ve worded it perfectly. A car only DESERVES to sound good, not cheat to the sound
@@XAV-117 Okay, the LFA sounds absolutely beautiful, I agree. Not sure I'd say it's better than the T.50, they're kind on a par for me, but I did also say the T.50 was the best sounding car "made today" and the LFA has been out of production for years now.

Exactly as it was supposed to.

I’d love to hear a head to head with the LFA in terms of sound. The LFA was actually engineered with sound in mind.

Damn that car has the power to rollback time, that noise is it early 1990s again in F1 my goodness.
Ferrari F1 1999 F1 car also has nice sound like this GMA T50.
Amazing.

People say all the time “omg this car sounds like an F1 car!” (Aventador, Pagani Zonda etc etc) this car LITERALLY sounds like an old F1 car
What a great and engaging video - real life observations and great presentation. We need to see more of Dario on TV - such great balance of humour, knowledge and insight. Loved it. Bring on the T33 equivalent
sounds like an actual 90’s f1 car bloody hell
This is the first car I have ever shed a tear over, not being rich enough to own.
I think we are peaking combustion performance cars with this one
How this car is not even breaking milestones, how is it peaking combustion engines cars. Its not faster than it's predecessor F1 in top speed. It's not the pinnacle of automotive ingenuity.
It's a good car that sounds amazing and costs the part. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. And furthermore this wasn't a review it was more of a ride along with the development driver
@@BlazeFirereign Family EV won't out accelerate any car with an engine.
If your argument is that it does it all I would argue there are Porsches on sale today that do the whole performance, driver engagement and daily driver thing extremely well at a lower price point
Value for money this car isn't it.I can name Lamborghinis,Ferraris and Porsches that offer more performance for less money.
19:25 It's really appreciated when a unique car is filmed next to ordinary cars, so you get a better idea of its proportions.
that’s gotta be one of the most refined exhaust notes ever made for a production car
That sound never gets old! 👌
You know what…. When these guys are producing content this good, I don’t miss the TV show!
Superb video, like all the car conversation!
Oh and Dario and the T.50 is amazing!
Love how calm the driver is compared to the passengers 😅
Seeing this at Goodwood last year was absolutely magical, no other way to describe it...
A M A Z I N G !!! I didn't like it at first, but now it's growing on me. It's such a clever supercar, so beautifully engineered... And the sound of that engine. ABSURD!!

It HAS succeeded though, thankfully!!!
@@abcxyz2927 isn't it!
I think the interior design/seat placement are really underrated here, to fit 3 seats in a hypercar that's already super stripped down to barebones essentials is really impressive.
This is by a long distance the most desirable new hypercar that you cannot buy for love nor money. Every part of this car is utterly beautiful.
Quite possibly the most incredible sounding road car I've ever heard. Cosworth... I salute you. Gordon Murray... you genius, you...!
That v12 took me back to the era of the greatest supercars... absolutely EPIC
Sounds awesome
Seats 3
Manual
Center driving position
Simply a work of art
Hearing these guys talk is so audibly satisfying. real car guys talking cars. I can feel what it’s like to drive this car.
That's the best sounding road car ever made! Proof you don't need 1500hp for a great car
If you chasing speed records you do but yeah you right plenty of great cars with less than 1500hp.This is one of them.
@@KevindusT360 even for chasing speed records, its not necesary

Ladies and Gentlemen here you see future classic... What a visionary Murray is.
What I really liked about this car is seat positioning, it looks more fun and friendly. And involves all 3 persons at once in a discussion.
The sound of that engine is unreal
Those 3 guys weigh about 1/4 of the weight of the car. That is probably the most incredible thing about it.
At 70-75 kg each, they might add 220 kg so yeah, almost 25%. The T50 still hit 290 kmph in 5th at 11500 on the first run. 17 sec with no launch, and manual shifts.
The actual best driver's car ever made, period
Also absolutely beautiful.
Ooh, I love a pocket rocket, and this could well be my new fave... Now, where's my winning lottery ticket?
To all intents and purposes that sounds like an proper '70s/'80s era F1 car. The reactions and faces of the guys is all you need to know. Amazing.
There must be something special about it
I'd like to quote Ronnie Coleman: "lightweight baby!".
Looks aside, it’s like Gordon Murray listened to everything we love and made a bundle
Yeah those headlights though…
@@ricepony33 you dislike?
@@alexandermallinckrodt2847 Yeah they're wayyy too large.
Murray is a legend 🔥
