- Saladin enters Jerusalem
After a 10-day assault on the city, Balian of Ibelin came out to meet Salah Ed-Din to offer unconditional surrender. On October 2, 1187, the Muslims entered Jerusalem peacefully.
A true Muslim doesn't disrespect other religion.....
Who says this? You? People from ISIS will have a different opinion than you.
No does a true Catholic force his beliefs on others. The Crusades l'm sorry to say were not our darkness days. But at least those that were present were taught a crucial lesson with their faith.
Americans and Europeans should read and not rely on movies, because by doing so, they miss great personalities... Do you know why Salah al-Din took the cross and put it in its place with respect.... To know more, read about Caliph Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, the first Muslim to enter Jerusalem.. He established an existing law. So far, no one has approached churches, nor a church that turns into a mosque out of respect
@@mishmish2194 That's great but it only applies to Jerusalem. Hagia Sophia was still desecrated.

@@power279 Mate, it's going on for millennia. Who knows who's land it is and who it truly belongs to, thus it belongs to everyone who has an attachment to it. Then how is it stealing if it belongs to everyone. All that matters is that, do not force your attachment on other, and that is what Saladin did. Saladin was already a great sultan and has one many battles, he didn't have to prove anything and disrespect other beliefs. He faught for his and won and respected remained respectful.
While I am certain the movie is rife with historical inaccuracies, I loved the movie because it was a RARE piece of westernized cinema that didn't break into tired tropes of Muslim - Bad which means Christian - Good. HUMANS commit atrocities and often use religion as an excuse to commit them. Muslims, Christians, Jews, Pagans, Hindus, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc have all had bad actors that perverse their religion and did terrible things that the person they worship would never ever condone.
I absolutely adored the portray of Saladin in this film who doled out justice but also respected other religions and cultures.

A Muslim who disrespect Jesus Christ peace be upon him is not a Muslim because Jesus Christ is one of the 5 most important prophets in Islam. He is one of the “Ul Alazmi min Al Rusōul” which means he was one of the 5 Resolve Prophets who have patience and endured a lot of hardship. Allah mentions them in the Quran : “And (remember) when We took from the Prophets their covenant, and from you (O Muhammad SAW), and from Nuh (Noah), Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), and 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). We took from them a strong covenant. “
