This is my Christmas 2024 project! On this piece I'm experimenting mixing Western and Slavic dance music styles. Please read the description for my technical commentary and sheet music availability for those interested.
Charming score. Well done! Characteristic of dancing miniatures ...vividly so. As for the technical considerations there was no doubt a feeling of a human performance.
Thank you! I'm not generally a piano composer, but I accidentally wrote 7 more, which will be released in 2025, Most are written for beginner/intermediate players, tried to make them easy to sight read!
Thanks! I admit I was sort of composing this for an orchestra, with ballet/ballroom in mind! I have a wild theory (without evidence) that Matryoshka Dolls were invented by a frustrated Dad who got tired of stepping on his daughter's scattered toys on floor, yelling in pain in darkness, while trying to make his way to the refrigerator...
