This was my learning project for writing String Quartets! This was also my learning project on how to setup custom expression maps on Steinberg Dorico Elements 5. Here, I used only the sounds that are included with the free version: Dorico SE 5.

Sunday afternoon quick project, testing out MuseScore 4.2 Beta driving SurgeXT open source Synthesizer!

This is my August experiment, trying out some movie-like sequences! This was composed on MuseScore version 4.1.1 using MSBasic only (no MuseSounds) -- if you want to see what it looks/sounds like in this early phase, here is the unlisted link: ruclips.net/video/GkDb4TRC_QM/видео.html Since MuseScore4 is still new and lacking some features, I exported the score in MusicXML format, read that using MuseScore3 to create a MIDI file. The MIDI file is read by Presonus Studio One 6 DAW, where I have EastWest virtual orchestra/choir libraries. I add articulations and enhance dynamics, as well as doing the standard mixing/mastering process. WAV audio file is created by the DAW. On this round, I used ffmpeg to produce mp4 video from WAV audio and JPG image. ffmpeg also allows me to fine tune loudness since RUclips likes the -14 dB LUFS level. After taking a little time away from my music hobby, I've started my 3rd year with an ethereal piece "Visions Across Time", which is bit of paradigm shift for me! * My first Ethereal work, adding synthesizers and sound FX with the traditional orchestral instruments * Composed directly on a DAW with my MIDI keyboard (with a notepad/pencil) * Metronome-less, bar-less "free time" recording, later tempo-mapped to measures * Focused more on audio production value over compositional details Let me know what you think!

I would like to present my "year-two" composition compilation in an album format! All works were re-mixed/re-mastered, with several improvements and corrections made from the original arrangements. My first year goal was primarily focused on learning music composition at scoring/transcription tier with less focus on audio. MuseScore was my primary tool, which is currently limited on quality of audio playback. All my year-two works were ported to, or composed directly on a DAW, with primary focus on audio quality on the end products, learning about mixing/mastering, working with various orchestral instruments, articulations and the associated VST libraries. I'm still searching for the major paradigm-shift for my third year goal!
