I like a lot the part around 2:10 as it really show how tense the game can be.
Sound design really seem to be great, I'm not sure it's a game for me but that part gave me some horror vibes!
Now from what you said it seems to be more of a survival game which can be interesting to some, not personally my cup of tea but I have to say it seems to be an interesting & innovative game.

Yeah, originally, way back I thought I read that Pacific Drive was supposed to have a blend of Lovecraftian horror elements thrown into it. Now, I'm not sure if I was making that up in my head or if it actually was something someone said in early on coverage.
Anyhow, this definitely isn't a horror game. Tense is a good way to describe how things can get. I never felt scared in the same way that I do when I play a horror game. Things are off and there are weird and strange thing but nothing that felt like it was intentionally meant to be scary.
But yeah, survival isn't usually my cup of tea either unless I play it with my wife. Pacific Drive was interesting enough though and I had fun with it. It got me thinking and it reminded me that I actually did play through a survival game before which was Darkwood. Now that actually is a horror game and a survival game. And it's excellent if you ever get the chance. I actually made a review for it on my old channel.

@@StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews I've played Darkwood for a bit, not long enough to finish it but it is definitely a great game from what I've seen.
And it is definitely scary indeed!
Yep I remember you did review it as I did watch that video of yours already.

Ooh, this game. Part of the ones I skipped because I'm sadly allergic to driving/immersion games.
interesting to see what's in it at least.

I remember you mentioning that! I'd say if it's the really technical driving games that you dislike then you have nothing really to fear here. It's immersive in the sense there's a lot of things on the car, but at the end of the day they made it really simple to pick up and play. It has a very arcadey feel to the driving in that sense.
I guess if it's something like you get motion sick from games like that...then probably best to stay away. Especially with all the stop and go you do in the game haha

@@StealthyshiroeanHumbleReviews Haha, yeah, I don't know why, but there's just a weird repulsion I have with driving in games. It's already pretty boring in reality, so I don't want more of it there.

@@TheOrian34 I can understand that. I guess that's the fantasy of a driving/racing game though. You can do the stuff that would get you arrested in real life haha
