Excellent job. My brother, Roger, a U.S. hero (Viet Nam) would fit this song well. He "moved on" and is thought about every day; especially when I hear songs like this. I see you Canadians are no different than us U.S. guys. Your music is ours, too.

Beautiful Song! You sang at my school in Trout River when I was only a young girl. You sound the same now as you did then. Trout River Boy we are proud of you!

Roy. I remember u sharing your songs n stories at Riverview High School during the 80's. You sang to us "Yesterday's Wine". While everyone was listening to Bryan Adams, u gave us songs that really hit home especially those songs that describe real life and heartaches.

Hello, Mr. Payne. You came to visit my high school around 1989-90, to talk about your life and play us some tunes. I've always appreciated a good story song, and I was just getting into the likes of Dylan, back then...so, for me, it was quite an interesting way to spend a portion of an afternoon. One of the songs you played was called "Born On The 4th Of July", I believe.
Thank you so much for serving our beautiful country! And have a good day (or evening, depending on when you read this). :)
