    Love the intro and all the footages you showcased. I’ve watched so many reviews of this gimbal but yours really stood out. You showed how you set it up, how it’s stored away during run and gun, and showed how it works in real life. Thanks for putting this together!

      Thanks! Glad you liked the video. I haven’t heard anything about a new weebill -s 2 or any like that but usually these companies and very tight lipped about releases in the works. Even if they made a new one this one still rocks and will be useable for quite awhile. The current weebill s though is a perfect travel gimbal being that it takes up almost no space in a bag and is quick to set up. I did notice that a few companies like zhiyun and B&H have a Black Friday sale taking $60 off the price right now.

    • @KyleWattsTV

      I tend to change my deadpan (which is the amount you turn before the gimbal moves) and sometimes speed based on what I’m shooting. If I’m on a electric skateboard or something like that I want it to be less responsive cause I won’t be as focused on the camera and gimbal when paying attention to the skateboard. Otherwise I tend to use the default settings and auto tune

    • @KyleWattsTV
      @KyleWattsTV  3 года назад +2

      Thanks! I always keep the firmware updated on it so what ever the new one is I guess. When putting different cameras or lenses on the gimbal I use autotune, but I will change the deadband settings based on what I’m shooting. If I need more response or quicker movements I’ll change the deadband to be less movement to turn the camera, for slower or on shots that I need to be more smooth and have less of a chance of accidental movement I change the deadband to have more turn movement before it turns the camera.
      Also most of the Moto x stuff was shot on the sigma 16 and some was on the Sony 18-105 which was being stabilized in the lens.

    Hey Kyle, nice video!
    I'm running the same setup and have a few questions if you could spare the time to answer :)
    Do you control the camera remotely from the gimbal with the cable? (for start/stop and zoom in/out)
    I noticed that both the face/eye AF and the SteadyShot are disabled when I use this function (USB PC remote).
    Is this supposed to happen and is there a workaround?
    Of course, we can just not use the remote control on the gimbal but that means the power zoom lens goes to waste :(

    Great video but you are making my decision more difficult. I have an A7C and was going to buy the RSC2 pro combo. Then I found out my camera doesnt work well with DJI Raveneye. This turned me to Weebill S, however built quality and better stabilization pushes me back to RSC2. Then again why care about better stabilization if the camera has IBIS. I am also not a pro putting it to heavy use so where daily use would make it last 2 years, for me it would be 10. Then having a fixed battery on RSC2 doesnt help. I also think having to bend the gimbal for briefcase looks very clunky on the RSC2. Then on the Weebill s I think the controls dont look great and position on the handle isnt great. Then again does that matter in underslung with an extra handle? Now I am tending to the Weebill again. I own a Crane M2 for my RX100 and have mixed feelings about it. When it works it is great but even balanced well it has these unpredictable jerks. I hope the Weebill S doesnt have that being a more expensive product. Heard no complaints about it. Decisions decisions.

      @KyleWattsTV  3 года назад

      I’ve had a chance to use both an the weebill s isn’t the perfect gimbal but I liked it better than the rsc2. Just was more comfortable and did what I wanted it to do. Plus the underslung position is far better on the weebill s which I use a lot. You can control som of the unexpected jerks by changing the deadpan in the settings.
