I filmed a wedding with the Zhiyun Weebill S, and my co-cinematographer, Se Park, also filmed with a Zhiyun Weebill S.
We got great results. Here are my thoughts, some behind the scenes, and other idiotic commentary I have to offer.

Hi Vu, nice review and love the BTS. You seem to prefer the 55 vs Batis 40 to pair with 24. I have the 24 for gimbal tighter shop would you recommend Batis 40, 55, or 85 if the best 2nd lens for video gimbal to pair with the 24 GM? Thanks. And since you own all three lens what situation would you use 40 Batis instead of the 55?
I'd use the 40 if I was doing reception dancing and wanted a wider look. Or borderline macro stuff. 55 has a nice compression to it
I have same problem tapping trigger to activate follow mode, I just hit lock button then back up to PF. I have issue where it seems my horizon is off. How about yours?
Only after a bit especially with the monitor cable the camera starts to sag to the left. I heard there is a new firmware update to fix these minor issue
@@nVuFilms mine sags left just with 24GM no monitor etc attached. So it's not just me

@@nVuFilms sure hope they fix that. I have grid lines on and the leaning towards the left is obvious. I'm not using quick release plate or anything but that shouldn't matter. If you find how to fix please let me know

How well does the electronic power zoom work? Do you have to use the joystick or integrated wheel to do so? Can the wheel or joystick also control the focus? (Using a Sony A6500 with the 18-105mm F4 with Power Zoom)

This was dope bro! My Weebill S gets here on Thursday and I can’t wait! Question... are you filming all of your shots in the same frame rates? What rate do you film in? I’m hearing that if you mix different frame rates it looks off when you go to edit it. You should post this in the group as well it’s very informative
I mix 24 and 60p and there is no issues

Ok I’m gonna try and see if I can do a video mixed with different frame rates and edit it in FCPX. Was wondering because I’ve been watching videos where some said you don’t do that or shouldn’t because it won’t play right but then I seen your video and then someone else who said he always does that.

Extremely detail, entertaining, and informative! I do have a question though; I see you're using the Sony a7iii. I just got my Weebill S, and I'm understanding it can ONLY control the video and photo. So, no shutter speed, aperture, and ISO control. Are you experiencing that too?
I control with camera so haven't tested out gimbal controls
Just got my Weebil S today, I had a same-ish issue like what you said after testing it out (the one where the trigger sometimes get stuck follow mode). Another thing is that when the gimbal is underslung, the panning becomes a little jumpy. I'm hoping to find out if others have already a fix to this, or if not, a workaround for it.

I used 1080p. 4k I unplug the monitor. For RUclips I use a6400 with flip screen

The handle you're using says not for Webill S on amazon. Why is that? because clearly you're using it.
It's made for weebill lab. But works for the S. Just slightly offset

I use a Canon EOS R with a smallrig cage and any of my L lenses and the weebill S works flawlessly.

Just notice, during 2nd viewing, you use another type of add-on handle. The one hereby listed. So I clicked on the link, only to discover manufacturer states "... for Zhiyun Weebill Lab(not for Weebill S) " in the page title. How weird !
You seem to go just fine with it fitted on.

Hey I've used Canon before you were even born and I still use it today along with the Zhiyun Weebill S. So FU for calling Canon trash. Look at all the pro photographers in NFL games. They all use Canon's. 6:58

A really nice movie from your work. Beautiful shots !!! But unfortunately I will not believe in the quality of Zhiyun Weebill S. I tested the previous product Zhiyun Weebill. We exchanged two copies. He played dramatically with Crane 2 and DJI Ronin S. Besides, I know from experience that in Zhiyun gimbals after a few months of use there are many problems and many drawbacks come out. No gimbal from Zhiyun - really none could withstand the wedding season with proper operation !!! On average, 30-35 weddings and outdoor shots. Crane 2 (2 gimbals) Crane v2 (3 gimbals) all the time some errors and problems. I really don't recommend this manufacturer. Zhiyn has not yet grown to sell gimbals to professionals. And I'm not afraid to say it because it's true !!!

why don't you say that if there was a hdmi on the gimbal the cable would give less discomfort ??
why don't you say that if the protrusion of the weebill batteries
nosconde the monitor?
why don't you say that the joestick is not very functional if it has a smooth button?
and then we can say that it is an excellent product due to its low weight
and high power,
we can say that it has a very affordable cost, and we can say that the company instead of releasing a version perfectly equal to the previous one (weeebill lab - s) could improve the defects of the first series (which has many but nobody wants to see )
then is the fault of the company or of those who select the product ??
