Very nice, and I really like how you have a cool calm vibe and shouting in my face while talking. I own many controllers, but the one I hate the most about hitbox is that my hand can not rest on it, and I like to do that with my controllers, and I understand that it meant maybe for how (it should be used) but I added a wrest pad on top to be able to play with it, but by the end of the day, I went back to the box controller, just because it's better overall for me, and I'm using to using since many many many years ago, and this one was cool, I can hit combos with easier, but I can not play where I can control the flow of the fight with it, and that's on me, and I'm not willing to put the time to learn it, because I'm so used to the box controller at this point and I don't have any time to learn something new. Overall, great review, and please keep it calm, that's the only reason I like watching your videos and Nihingo gamer as well because you guys are chill.
As an owner of the OG hitbox the detachable cable and extra button is really tempting. I do prefer the metal bottom with the legs nubs of the original.
I'll get one at some point but in Europe shipping alone adds another 75$ to the price (+lots of taxes if you're a bit unlucky and they stop the package at the border obv.) I'm on a Mixbox right now, but I'm starting to crave something else, especially for 2D fighters like GG Strive. All the circular motions chained into a combo don't seem to translate well to arrow keys for that game. (or I'm just too sloppy, can't get it to work consistently either way) I think I'll get an arcade stick for now and see how I like that. Nice video though. First time I noticed you're also on RUclips now and not just Twitch. Keep it up!
It's a *real* shame you can't realistically get hitbox in Europe without paying almost 50-100% more. I don't know why we can't have a single distributor in Europe for this...
does anybody know what brook board does it mount? it's a universal brook but I can't find the model to know the input delay...there are several brook boards and they're slightly different in terms of input latency. Thanks in advance
It’s not a brook universal board. And it probably have a bit more delay than the actual universal board but it doesn’t matter. The brook universal board is the lowest delay board there is. And I can’t feel the difference between the 2 and I’ve been playing on the universal board on the same exact set up for years. Surely I would notice if something is off. I wouldn’t worry about the board at all. I don’t think there is anyone out there making prebuilt controllers with shitty boards.
honestly was pretty dissapointed by the quality of the hitbox. The edges are not great and I can touch the adhesive they used to glue the foam thing to the bottom, which is not on straight so taking in and out the screws is a pain. Overall not worth what I paid for it
Using a mayflash right now, fell in love with the hitbox as soon as I saw it. Unfortunately they don’t make any for Xbox and I don’t want to grind to vanquisher on tekken all over again :(
I haven't used the CrossUp so I really can't give a proper recommendation. That kind of controller seems better for 3D games vs the hitbox though. Personally for most games I would just not use a lever at all if you're going to go for these types of controllers over a standard fightstick. Hope that helps!
I got mine directly from a store in Tokyo a while back, but other than that I've heard it's basically impossible to get a hold of these unfortunately. An alternative are the Crown/Samducksa buttons as they also use Cherry MX switches. Demand seems to be high but at least they are more reliable than Gamerfinger's company.
@@KaliburJP thanks for the reply man. I put in an order several months ago and didnt get a confirmation email or anything for weeks so i just got my money back. Ive always heard its pretty much impossible to get. I hate how i cant lab late at night, dont wanna wake anyone up lol.
Does the stage reset or save/load state button work on PC in street figher 5? I use L3 R3 for that on my current stick but the hitbox just does not provide these.
In Steam settings I set a custom keybind for L3/R3 over the touchpad/ps/share button. You can do this just for a specific game so it doesn't change for all games.
I'am agree with you for most part but if like me you live in europe and you want one. 70 bucks just for shipping it's really expensive. That's why i don't buy one of these and it's too bas because you can't find one out of america.
There aren't any true shortcuts like in SFV for a game like GGST. However, the all button style controller lets you take advantage of pressing left and right at the same time allowing for more than one way to do inputs. Check out my other video here for a visual guide: ruclips.net/video/BuNBb55mQq0/видео.html
You can get it off the HitBox website (preorders only for now) or check if Amazon in your region stocks it www.hitboxarcade.com/products/ps4-pc-hit-box
At first pressing the L1/L2 buttons was messing me up since I'm used to physically moving my fingers over. With 24mm buttons you don't have to make big movements anymore which once you get used to it feels pretty great
Great video again, Kalibur!
Fyi, Hit Box does work on the PS5 but not for PS5 games. We can't wait to be able to make it fully native.
Oh yes that's what I meant! I worded it quite poorly didn't I haha
love the hitbox so much
Is it still going to be made native?
@@PureOctarine We're trying for it!
Maybe you can swap the PCB with Brook’s

Appreciate this video. I've been in the market for a Hitbox might get one next month. Thanks again for the video keep up the great content!
I'm glad this video could give you some insight!

This is a very good review in my opinion and now im more excited and sure to buy one

Are the buttons 24mm or 30mm ?
That kind of controller would be very hard to uses for 1st timers

Buy a brooks converter then.
would you recommend the normal hitbox or the cross up?
I haven't used the CrossUp so I really can't give a proper recommendation. That kind of controller seems better for 3D games vs the hitbox though. Dont know if you can answer this but is it still possible to get gamerfinger buttons?

Is this controller good for GG strive
Yeah it’s amazing for every fighting game

Does it have a headphone jack?
Hi, the HitBox controller does not have a headphone jack

Was this modded with Cherry Switches?
Yes it was!
Where you got GF buttons from?
Got them from a parts store in Tokyo
What are your thoughts about the 24mm buttons? I’m used to 30mm and I always wonder if it’s a big difference or hard to get used to the 24mm buttons.
