Although this is an old video, you saved my bacon today, sir.. Had had a pc endless rebooting (the culprit was the CI.dll) and the pc's owner was in tears because of it and I didnt need to format and reinstall everything. Keeping this one on a special folder for everything PC related.

Thank you so much, I had performed a brief clean of my machine (as I do every week) then choosing to restart my PC.
Upon rebooting it entered this strange state where the 'Welcome' screen (now in a bootloop) was in a combination of wingding and (seemingly Chinese) fonts, this being problematic for me to follow your tutorial I quickly was able to change the language back to English - now able to follow your video.
As scary as dealing with System32 and using CMD with little experience was, the process was easy to follow and worked instantly.
Thank you for providing clear instructions, and that actually work.
I'll be backing up my data today, as a future precaution. haha

you guys don't need a CD or any of that extra. just follow everything he is doing from the cmd prompt but if all your files have 0 you need to reinstall windows but if your files do have something go on and proceed.
Hey, i installed win 7 from usb and got stuck in reboot loop caused by GRUB leftovers from previous LINUX installation (discovered this by accidentaly pressing something like F8 on boot and entering GRUB loader).
So i tried this (i found it in totally unrelated forum topic) and it was the only working solution.
1) boot your windows install media
2) select a language
3) press SHIFT+F10 to enter command prompt
4) type without quotation marks "C:" and press enter (the letter may vary, try D if C does not work)
5) type without quotation marks "bootsect /nt60 ALL /mbr" and press enter
6) remove windows installation media and reboot

did your screen turn black for a while, only the mouse pointer showing on the screen? Should i take out the flash drive or only after i get to my desktop? what did you do?
Cobraman Anti-Bullying Superhero It did show a black screen with cursor for few seconds and then booted itself. I switched the SATA-port of the HDD but I think avast was behind this issue. I ran Avast repair installation and no problems anymore.

I did it all step by step but now i get a totally black screen for 3-4 minutes after windows has loaded the files and after windows has shown the starting screen... then the windows install screen shows up again - any solutions?

I am trying first install on a non partitioned hdd. Dell Optiplex 980. The CD just loops again and again but never gets to the install screen.

Hay I follow exact steps which you shown in Video, but it fails. Even in the last scene the amount should be Zero come same in my case. Then what go wrong ? It is showing me black screen after restarting......

how to remove .. shows that reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key
when i press any then it will display again and again . same

Try to go on safe mode, then delete latest update or go into the system, go to settings and delete latest update I will do a TUT on this

it worked for me except in my case as I was trying this I found out the SYSTEM file was corrupt when I tried to copy it it failed. So I copied the SYSTEM file from REGBACK directory on top of the SYSTEM file in the CONFIG directory. I couldn't even delete the SYSTEM file that was corrupt before. Long story short the computer booted after this and I immediately created a drive image file and replaced the 3yo hard drive with a new hard drive for preventive measures.

This Is a great tutorial but just before you go through with all of this make sure you try just re-installing windows first that worked for me if not just follow this amazing tutorial.
Unfortunatly my boot-loop is such that it starts up for 1 second then shuts off and it stays in that loop. I doubt my install disc will have time to boot. Thanks anyway

hi, i just finished formatting my computer, and in the end of formatting, it enters in a loop of edless inicializations, e did what you said, and in my case my numers are all zero, i tried everithing, i can not solve this problem,

I made a mistake in last proccess . I type that copy command for my system when it shows in all values in 0..now my system didnt log in and didnt show system restore ,command prompt,.only show one option is startup repair again and again it comes the same option of startup repair .so please help me to find a problem..

In my case those options with safe mode appears and when I start my computer normally a disk checking option appears and than it says an unspecified error has occurred and than that black screen with cursor appears I followed above steps but nothing happened help please!!

i have a question, i have tried to do the other options (besides command prompt) but it turned out i never made a sys recovery when i thought i had... but i have gone through my hard drives to find the program files, etc in command prompt but for some odd reason it doesn't show up? maybe i'm just not looking hard enough, but it either gives me and error not found or a bunch of other files that aren't the files shown on the screen. but i have gotten a repair disc to see if that solves the issue... but does anyone have any advice on that matter? i'm kind f trying to AVOID resorting to bringing my computer to a shop.

I created the repair disc on a usb stick, and when i got to the part where i change from X: drive to C: drive, I could not see my hard disk with the Program Files folder bla bla... Any thoughts?

When I try to make the backup I keep getting that its in use by another program
I used my Windows 7 installation disc and chose "Repair your computer" and I get an error that says "This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to repair. Try using a recovery disc that is compatible with this version of Windows."
I also have 0 bytes on my directory too, so I can't copy the backup..

my problem is I forgot my password. and I was entering to windows by finger print scan.
Then i changed the setting on windows to restart through safe mode to fix the password. Then my Safe mode needs password too !!! and It is not stating to normal windows , every time when i restated , it will be starting through safe mode. My access completely denied.:(
