Is it works for laptop too? I mean I have laptop only and I need to open up my laptop to change the disk. I've tried migrate it but it seems failed to me so I wonder if this steps works for me that only using laptop only

the ssd's are not even showing in bios to boot windows for install😢😢😢😢!!! the only way they get regonized is to get the ones that are compatible with the pc!!! not all are the same and i have some even the samsung 870 evo 4TB that fails,,, i will end up going to parts people website for the ssd of 2TB that will work with dell latitude e6540 laptops!!😢😢😢😢

@@SlaydWolfgang it will be installed on a VHD file on your SSD and this file is just shows as another drive so for example you won't be able to change size of a system partition because this file=partition size so you won't be able to create two partitions. Technically you will able to create two virtual partitions on a vdi but none of these will be readable outside of Windows. You won't be able to reinstall windows keeping all the data on a second partition -even on a first partition too! You need to format your real drive (it will delete the .vdi file with virtual partitions and all data on them) to reinstall windows. Or you can use this program again but this will also format the drive and loose data. Upgrading Windows (for example, 7 to 8, 8 to 10 or like my friend tried 10 to 11) will cause your system to BSOD. Maybe when 23H2 will be released upgrade will also cause to BSOD. The error happens because during setup process there's no drivers needed to mount the .vdi as a physical drive. Without this, it won't boot. You'll stuck in a bootloop. So using this program makes sense only if you really need USB drive with Windows installed. But for the main drive it's better to use a normal ways to install Windows. You can record the .iso on your usb drive with Rufus to install Windows normally or use something like WinNTSetup

Could this method also work for installation of Windows leaving it connected to the USB - SATA connector. And subsequently booting Windows from USB?
yes you just need to configure your pc to boot from that ssd and it should boot
