it might be a way to late to giving you an advice, but im gonna giving it anyway, just in case if someday you guys comin back to indonesia,..
well, first of all, im suggesting you never eat or buying foods at the restaurant or vendor that doesn't put the price in their menu, bcs (not all) but mostly that kind of restaurant is targeting a particular costumer (tourist), idk about the restaurant that you visit in this video but 10.000won its a little bit pricey i guess, papaya and watermelon its not a rare fruit in this country, usually that kind of juice is just cost 10k or 15k rupiah each, and the food (based on this video) that kind of nasi goreng probably cost 25k at most.. in my city its just cost less than 20k.. but yes, usually the place or the building effect the price of the foods (bcs of the rent and taxes), more fancy the place it might get a little bit pricey, but once again, based on this video, the place that you guys visit is just an average places,,
second, never take what people handing to you or giving you more than what you initially wanted to buy , or at least if that happens always ask what is the intention or the reason of the giver, this case sometimes happened while you buying some goods, foods, fruit or accessories, and once again not all doing that kind of thing, but its certainly exist..
last, if you ever encounter people on the street that trying to engage a conversation with you, like askin where you came from, what are you up to, bla bla bla, then after a while he suggesting you to visiting a place that held an event (usually about batik or wayang), and he will told you that event is an awesome event, and that day is the last day, don't ever agree to that, it's a scam..
indonesia citizens is well known as a humble people, especially towards a foreigner, bcs there was saying here that said "a guest is a king", which mean we have to treating them like our king, but, just like any others country, there also some bad people that willing to do anything to takin advantage from other people's.. i hope this would help you guys to more enjoying our country if someday you guys ever comin back..
