My wife and I visited Padang Bai some 33 years ago on the way to stay at Candi Dasa and it has changed a great deal. There were no restaurants, hotels etc whilst Candi Dasa basically has stayed the same.
Oh man, I think I could sit on that sunbed or on the sand the whole day enjoying the surroundings and reading a book! Also the steps down, with all the vegetation, nice!! I didn't know about this area, thanks for showing🤩
My partner and I stayed in Candidasa in January 2019. We went and snorkelled in Blue Lagoon, it was very rough the day we went. Big pebbles were pelting my feet and ankles. It wasn't pleasant, but when out in the water it was a problem. Good place to relax and have a Bingtang also.
I had a gorgeous Balinese girlfriend who was from Candi Dasa but she'd already promised to marry some Dutch guy ... and did. Then she rang me in Jakarta about three months later to meet, but by then she'd married the Dutch guy, gone to Amsterdam and returned to Bali. That was a Shakespearean tragedy that one!

I visited a resort a bit higher up on the hills, called Bloo Lagoon Village. Great view of the water and the boats.

I was there this week. Stayed 1 night at Kerti. Very basic. Beach in front could not walk on . Was completely covered in rubbish.
Really sad to hear that.. the beach Should be kept cleaned
