- Who doesn't love a crispy mushroom bite? :)
Mushroom Bites:
6 pieces of baby king oyster mushroom (300g)
1/2 cup ap flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup cold water + 1 - 2 tbsp water
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
Dipping sauce:
1/2 cup mayonaise
1 tbsp diced jalapeno pepper
1 clove garlic
A squeeze of fresh lemon juice

King oyster mushrooms are the only kind of mushrooms I will eat!
we dont talk about your camera quality enough! that clip where the mushroom is being chopped looks very nice and satisfying 🤩 does this recipe work for other types of mushroom? quite hard to find this one in my area

Ahh it looks like it’d be so good, especially with the sauce. I don’t eat that much meat so I can always appreciate a good plant based recipe.

also you say they taste like fried scallops? ive never even tried fried scallops but if i can use mushrooms instead you are right.

King oyster mushrooms are the best king of mushroom imo, they do taste more meaty. Funny enough I don’t like button mushrooms lol
Ive been interested in eating more plant based, these mushroom bites are such good inspo, and thank God you used panko, I would have been disappointed otherwise 😂😉 At my uni I went to a sensory taste test and they served vegan calamari made from mushroom, it was fried perfectly :3
