flyingcumshot there is literally no difference between GT5 and 6 and they are both still uncomplete games which I was very disappointed with, The best will Always be GT3 and 4 though I like 3 more

I remember playing the shit out of Gran Turismo 1 back in like '98 at my friends house after school in probably the 5th or 6th grade. We played the SHIT out of that game. GT2 was the biggest leap by far, I dont remember much of GT3 and GT4 was almost as epic to me as GT1 was back in the day! GT5 is the absolute best I could hope for and I havent played GT6 yet, still stuck on GT5.

De PS1 a PS2, el cambio es gigante. Mejor resolución, mayor cantidad de polígonos, mejores texturas.
De PS2 a PS3 el cambio respecto a lo anterior, también es notable. Más polígonos, mejor resolución, mejor modelado, físicas, texturas e iluminación. A partir de PS3, los autos comenzaron a tener un aspecto sumamente fotorrealista.
De PS3 a PS4, también hay cambios, pero a diferencia de las demás consolas, ya es un exagerado "más de lo mismo en el apartado gráfico. Los cambios erradican más en lo que los juegos pueden ofrecer en contenido, que en el apartado gráfico (por eso existen juegos como Battlefield 1, Horizon Zero Dawn o el Spider-Man, que tienen que aguantar muchas cosas en pantalla sin perder frames)

Well,it's obvious that graphics will be having diminishing returns for now on,which is normal,until we finally reach what some people call "photorealism" (I don't like that word too much because we don't actually "play" with photos,I would prefer to use the word "videorealism",but whatever)...After that point,graphics won't be that important for developers anymore,so they will finally start to focus on better physics and AI (and hopefully on new and better ways of gameplay also).
But yeah,it's easy for anyone to say that the biggest difference was between the PS1 and the PS2,even though technically speaking the biggest jump was from the PS3 to the PS4 cause we're now more close to "photorealism" (or videorealism) than ever.

The DriveClub footage is over 4 months old...at least use the Channel 4 ident ad clips from a month and a half ago which look 10x better i might add

even if it is an emulator it emulates very well the game, at least for me the graphics are the same as in my gt4 game, plus are you looking at the car and the speed of the car??? its slow because the car is slow and the others are slow cars as well!!!! in gt4 you have many cars more slower speeds than this one!!!

Now what are you smoking? Name a couple of games that come close to Driveclub. Don't think about mentioning Forza Motorsport 6 Apex. There is potential in PC racing sims but few things comes close to driveclub at this moment in time.

ive only played the COD, Battlefield and MLB games for PS4 but I will say I can hardly tell the difference between a PS3 and PS4 game so far... The system is the exact same, except the controller has a touch pad... Seirously what a joke...

Because graphically it has gone up minimally, we are getting to a point where you cant really progress graphics much further, but the main focus is PERFORMANCE. You can now have games that run at peak graphical capability on a scale that you could never get out of a ps3, no framerate drops, screen tearing, you can have so much going on at once and no degradation of any function due to it..ps4 is leaps and bounds ahead of the ps3.

+Turlis Williamson Cross-generation games, man. They couldn't push the graphics too far on current-gen because they had to be able to port them to last-gen consoles. But many games built from the ground up for current-gen systems look far better than even the best-looking last-gen games. Driveclub is probably one of the best-looking games I've ever seen. Also, the PS4 and XBO are only two years old. Go back and play any early seventh-gen game and you'll see how much graphics have improved since then. Also, like every other generation, the graphics will continue to improve over the course of the generation as developers become more adept at making the most of the new hardware.
And there's still a few idiots who think that PS1 graphics are *unbearable* because it's not HD.

Half the PS4 library isn't even 1080p, and even if a game is 1080p, it's probably not 60fps.

I miss GT 2 and 3. 4 was amazing for it's rally events and use of group c cars. 5 was buggy and short...worst game ever, though Nascar events were fun. 6 was an improvement using time of day and weather changes and was more fun, yet still doesn't have the spirit of the earlier titles. Sadly, I have moved on. Forza is the new Sim race king.

Driveclub sucks. Why isn't Forza a sim? GT is more arcade than forza. Maybe horizon is an arcade series but Motorsport is far from Arcade. Just turn all of that drive help crap off Forza is known for....
