Thanks for sharing, that is perfect. Exactly what we would look for. A good find and some nice improvements made to it recently. yes I suspect those tree roots will break up the concrete, but thats the benefit of renting...it wont be your problem to fix when they do.

Hello Tony, I enjoy the way you structure your tours. Spot on. I will be returning once again to Thailand, this time looking at retirement and I am narrowing down to the Chiang Mai area. What I would like to know is how your rental agreement is structured. How you started negotiations (original terms requested by owner), repairs & upgrades, length of the contract and renewal options. We look to retire long term, but still feel our money is best off in other money earning vessels. Anything you care to share or will do so privately is greatly appreciated....and congratulations on this find :-)

Where in Hang Dong is that? From the view I'd guess it's on the west side of Canal Road. We used to rent a house in Royal View moo ban between Canal Road and Hang Dong (not far from Masterpiece moo ban. We bought a single storey house 15 months ago near Ban Tawai, rice fields at the back, a couple of big ponds/small lakes out front. Really quiet, about the only noise at might is the frogs and the crickets. During the day it's cattle.
There's only 11 houses on the street so it's very quiet, and although it's got good access, you'd never know it's here.
Nice video, and a nice looking house, as you get older not having an upstairs is a big positive!

Why do you need a dryer? I used to live in Udonthani hanged out my washing even during the rainy season under cover dried in notime have visited Chiang Mai a few times and it's been Hot each time
It’s useful when it may be needed unexpectedly, maybe on the rainy season or in case of something shows up at last minyan you need certain clothes for the occasion.

What's your opinion on all the people from rich countries emigrating to cheaper countries like Thailand. Which then with all the extra demand causes the cost of living to rise for local Thai people? No hate or anything, would just be interested to hear your opinion.
There is good and bad of course. They make it so hard for expats to stay that I don't think it will get too bad.

Who do you need a clothes dryer in Thailand?! Hang 'em out there!
2 reasons. First, clothes do not dry well in the rainy season. 2nd, line drying makes the clothes and towels stiff and uncomfortable.

Really nice house in a nice Alil neighborhood. We got an Airbnb for a month in CM it’s over twice that price for a month. 🥲 i assume Airbnb is the only option for short term rentals? 1-3months.
