Never heard of him until my son’s band got in his upcoming tour. Doing my homework on who I’ll be listening to at the show and my word I love this music!!!!
going to see Frank soon, what's the name of your son's band?
@@orioles7023 The Bridge City Sinners !
That's awesome!
@@maryprophit1295i love them! That's awesome!
The lyrics in the stretch from "I still believe in the saints, yeah in Jerry Lee and in Johnny and all the greats" to "so just remember folks, we're not just saving lives, we're saving souls and we're having fun" are some of the best I've ever come across. This song is a banger.
🐉😘🤣
Who cares how people discovered Frank? The important part is that more people are listening to his awesome music.
Just discovered this song and it's already my #1 for 2024! FANTASTIC!!!
I'm the same but with Long Live the Queen
One of the best moments of my life: Getting a hug off Frank Turner
Moshing with him in Vienna two years ago ❤️
I hate people saying that certain beliefs are essential to being punk. Punk had one essential belief and that was "Don't let people tell you who to be or what to do. You are your own person and can do what you wish with your own life." This often resulted in a specific rebellious and anarchical perspective to life (mainly because of the surroundings). Punk is being who you are because you want to be. Not because you have to be. That's why there are so many brilliant DIFFERENT people in punk.
harmonica solo - cause that's how the British roll!
check out Blues Traveller, I'm English but Hell, John Popper does fantastic harmonica solos.
Here because on Season 3 of Ted Lasso! Opening lyrics lend themselves nicely to the March 15 premiere date. #idesofmarch
Raw, unsophisticated, genuine rock 'n' roll. Makes you feel good and a bit nostalgic.
Hope you are doing well brother. Spot on comment
Unsophisticated I highly doubt. Listen to the lyrics
I STILL BELIEVE IN THE NEED FOR GUITAR AND DRUMS AND DESPERATE POETRY..................Does anyone else here? Does anyone else still believe in what this lyrics says?
You have no idea how much I respect this man for making this kind of song. This lyrics gives me chills, and makes me still believe, even if it seems all hope is lost, that Elvis will bring his children home safely.
If not anybody else, Rock'n'Roll did save me.......!!!!!!!
10 years later, and still yes!
Yes yes yes
Great words!!!
Best rock band song in the game 🔥🔥
just saw Frank Turner in SF Ca last week. unbelievable show. new songs are awesome but this is the one that got my attention
Artists like Frank Turner deserve more respect ..
that is simply untrue.
First time I've heard this, you might be right about this...
I agree completely
No they don't
@@NarcoticDimension haha. I'm with you.
In my younger days you'd find me at Dead show or in a basement somewhere listening to punk rock. Saw (and heard) Frank Turner for the first time live when they were an opening act for another band. I felt like I was listening to a modern day version of The Clash. Rocked out harder than any of the kids that were there to see Panic at the Disco. They thought I was out of my mind but I had the time of my life as my daughter and her friends tried to distance themselves from me!

Hmm... I can't be the only one
Was this concert possibly at The Rave in Milwaukee?
after all, it was rock n roll.
who'd have thought?
bill anderson @gmalapruebaes
Just saw him live and Jesus what a performer! There isn't one song of his I've listened to and thought it was bad, that is incredible. He needs more recognition, and I'm shocked he isn't bigger than he is. I bet he will blow up after another amazing album.
If it only happened☹️
RIGHT ON!I MET FRANK IN 2010 AND HE IS A DYNAMITE GUY!REAL GOOD PEOPLE,WE BOTH HAD BLACK FLAG TATTOOS AND HE LIKED THAT.GREAT GUY AND TALENTED,BLEW SOCIAL DISTORTION OFF THE STAGE,STOLE THE SHOW!F.T.H.C. FOR LIFE!
Just saw Frank at Cabooze in Minneapolis. What a show! What a song! I still believe!
Hit me up if you’re listening to this because this is the song that WFNX signed off to and you’re still not over it
Frank cleans my toilet on a Sunday........"Beat that"..........He's a Classical music fanatic may I add.......So there ;)
Channeling Strummer ... Well done, young man.
Frank Turner was the very first act I saw at the first Riot Fest I ever attended all the way back in 2012. I just saw Frank and the Sleeping Souls perform eleven years later at Riot Fest 2023, and brought a friend who had never been herself, and this was the first concert we saw at the fest. I feel like I passed on the torch.
everytime i hear this it just provokes memories of Frank's performance at the Olympic Stadium moments before the official start of the opening ceremony. long live the legacy!
Anyone find this song due to the Ted Lasso Season 3 in Feb 2023? If so check out the entire catalog! You will not regret it.
Thanks!
Lolol I found this on pandora back in the day😅
2024 and STILL a banger 🔥
i feel like frank turner is also one of the nicest people you would ever meet
Never really heard of this guy. Saw him open for Flogging Molly in Cleveland on August 14th. I'm now a fan.
Me too, bro. Same venue and everything.
Chris McDonald I saw him in Atlanta with FM about 7 years ago and have seen him at least 20x since. was also at the same Cleveland show since I live near there
Ha, I have a friend who became a fan of his just as quickly. We were driving around and I had Tape Deck Heart playing. She had to know who he was and a few hours later we had tickets to the concert playing the next week.
Early 2010:I first listen to Frank Turner, a small-time English singer-songwriter and fall in love
Mid 2010:See Turner support Green Day, inspired to take up guitar.
Late 2010:See Turner in Cambridge. Love it
Mid 2011:Get England Keep My Bones. Love it
Early 2012:Play I Still Believe to people on bus. They say he'll never go anywhere.
Mid 2012:Turner plays the Olympics. People who insulted him now have I Still Believe on iPods
But I don't care-coz I know I was loyal to Frank
Long Live Frank!
Frank man, every sodding song you write will bring a tear to my eye, and no I'm not being melodramatic. From Photosynthesis to The Road, You have the bizarre effect... Please do not sell out like Green Day, Linkin Park, and all those artists you used to love back in the day. We love you as you are man, and that's clean, and independant.
I just came across this song. BEAUTIFUL. PERFECT I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE IVE DISCOVERED something this special
I’m here to Ted Lasso trailer 😅😂 but I still believe in Frank❤ Happy Valentine’s Day 😍❤️🙌
How could anyone not love this song? It has the beats, sounds and a good singer! I love this song sm
I heard this on FNX in Boston, took me forever to find who did this song. Glad I did.
I just lost my father a few weeks ago. I have to uproot my life here in my little sunny Florida beach town, and relocate to Baltimore to handle business. When I listen to Frank, I feel instantly better about life.
I hope I can vote for this song in Tiple J's Hottest 100 this year.
Who else remembers how amazing it was to see frank at the Olympics opening ?
chris mardlin That was the first time I'd ever come across him, out of touch old fart that I am.
Enraged Potato yes!! I was actually so proud
What on earth? I didnt know about Frank back then...to youtube!
Had never heard of him before but got to see him at the technical rehearsal for the opening ceremony, was awesome!
Never heard of him until yesterday. Got to admit, he's class! Great voice. Great lyrics. Great song. Get him famous!
I think we ought to not loose sight of the fact that this simply a love song for Music
GOSH!!! I LOVE LOVE the passion he puts into every word and the music he sings
Indeed!
I believe that Frank Turner is the best singer songwriter of all time.
im not having a go...i'm glad that he performed at the olympics and he is finally getting the recognition he deserves. i was annoyed at all of the comments saying "thumbs up if the olympics brought you here" I'm glad you have heard him and like him...
God... The only hope for british modern music yet so underrated?
I really love this song. It brings up the same feelings as the Ramones' "Do You Remember Rock N Roll Radio?" and Don MacLean's "American Pie." Wonderful (and nice video, too).
How this hasn't got millions and millions of hits who knows?
what an amazing song! Seeing Frank in Gloucester in May - can't bloody wait!!! :)
I somehow never noticed any of this. Until I saw Frank at PRB this year and immediately became a fan.
I was so excited when I saw he was at the opening ceremony. He's such a wonderful musician, and beautiful lyricist, he deserved to be recognised like that. :)
Olympics brought me here, not ashamed that I didn't know him before, Just grateful that I got to here his awesome music.
Man, this is...That was...I don't have a word dude. Rock 'n Roll.
Saw him in Asbury Park. Blown away. Rock and roll. Making miracles for minimum wage. Oh baby.
proud to say I knew Frank Turner and this song BEFORE the olympics :D

@@sadiemaryguy1001 wow
Please come sing at a freedom conference. God knows that in the current state of things the liberty movement needs to hear music like this.
Every time someone comes here and says they found him through the Olympics, it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. Any person who finds this man is lucky indeed, whether it was a few days ago or a few years ago, and seeing more people discover this music is just beautiful.
ah true rock and roll poetry paying homage to the poetic legacy of folk music and music at large so beautiful.
From time to time i stumble upon a song that hits me emotionally so freakin hard. This i one of them. No idea why. But here it is and i want to shake Frank Turner hand, look him in the eyes and just say `thank you`.
Thank you WFNX! I will miss you!
I cant understand why this song is not in the radios (Spain). Is a really good tune! If it would be played on radio, im sure it will be nº1 in the chart
Songs save lives. Music saves souls. As long as there's something left of you to save, you're worth saving. Be kind to each other, my friends.
As a product of the 1950s, I can truly say this is a great tribute song.
My husband described this guy as a poet and sent thisto me. I have to say, my husband is right. This time. 😊
OMG!!! How the hell have I manage to miss the genuis that is Frank Turner!! Brilliant
Big up Winchester for creating this masterpiece

Punks & Skins & Countrymen...Another Life Saved By Rock & Roll (I Know that's a Hudson Falcons Cross Reference but I'm Feeling This Tune In A Big Way, & Needed To Ad That Line From Lonely Girl)...Awesome Song! Thanks For Touching Me Frank.
Incredible! Love his voice, his accent, the melody, the lyrics are beautiful!!, his voice deserve a another shout out, my god, where did this man come from. pure talent. :)
"I still believe - I still believe -
That everyone
Can find a song for every time they've lost and every time they've won"
That is so true, great to see Frank get a chance to play his music on a stage seen by the world.
Saw him at a music festival in Asbury Park. That song just blew me away. Seen him a few times since. Just love him.
This clip had 25,000 hits on it when I liked it. Thanks to Social Distortion and Frank touring, making it big!!
I've never been able to relate to a song as well as this before. Frank is truly a great poet.
Hear ye, hear ye, friends and Romans, countrymen.
Hear ye, hear ye, punks and skins and journeymen
Hear ye, hear ye, my sisters and my brethren.
The time is coming near.
Come ye, come ye, to soulless corporate circus tops.
Come ye, come ye, to toilet circuit touring snobs.
Come ye, come ye, to bedrooms, bars and bunker squats.
The sound is ringing clear.
Now who'd have thought that after all,
Something as simple as rock 'n' roll would save us all.
And who'd have thought that after all, it was rock 'n' roll.
Hear ye, hear ye, now anybody could take this stage.
Hear ye, hear ye, and make miracles for minimum wage.
Hear ye, hear ye, these folk songs for the modern age,
Will hold us in their arms.
Right here, right now, Elvis brings his children home.
Right here, right now, you never have to feel alone.
Right here, right now, teenage kicks and gramophones.
We hold them in our hearts.
Now who'd have thought that after all,
Something as simple as rock 'n' roll would save us all.
Now who'd have thought that after all, it was rock 'n' roll.
And I still believe (I still believe) in the saints.
Yeah, in Jerry Lee and in Johnny and all the greats.
And I still believe (I still believe) in the sound,
That has the power to raise a temple and tear it down.
And I still believe (I still believe) in the need,
For guitars and drums and desperate poetry.
And I still believe (I still believe) that everyone,
Can find a song for every time they've lost and every time they've won.
So just remember folks we not just saving lives, we're saving souls,
And we're having fun.
And I still believe.
Now who'd have thought that after all,
Something as simple as rock 'n' roll would save us all.
Now who'd have thought that after all,
Something so simple, something so small.
Who'd have thought, that after all it's rock 'n' roll?
This song is the perfect song. I'm in tears right now... Like for real. This is Beautiful.
how can this song not be a smashworldwidehit????
Excellent, just what I needed on a day like today.
I'm not usually a big fan of modern pop but forget labels for a minute, this is one great song! Thanks to the DJ Jim Ladd for introducing it to me on his SXM Deep Tracks shows.
i love this song! And no I hadn't heard of him before the Olympics, but who cares right? You hard core fans should be happy at the new attention he's getting; attention he clearly deserves! Now all you guys who knew Frank before a few days ago, why dont you reply by recommending us newbies some other great songs by him. Would be greatly appreciated, I want to broaden my knowledge on this guy!
Such a perfect song... and video
Keep rockin Frank! One of my favorites. Had the chance to talk to him after one of his shows last fall, really cool guy. Wish I had seen the Olympic performance. It's nice when someone who's worked his ass off gets the chance to be heard by millions!
Best band in Fonofest for show!
Just love it, keep it up and see you next time in Latvia
I’ve heard this great song at the University of Bolton Stadium a few times this year - finally I found it today!
I will always remember this song as the theme song to that brilliant subversive Olympic opening ceremony. Well done Frank!
This is really good! First heard it on Absolute radio a couple of months ago and haven't stopped replaying it since!
Well, if seeing is believing, I believe we’ve been seen.
Rock'n'roll is really what the world needs. Always! I believe!
there are few artists that really are better live, Frank is one
The version of the video Frank uploaded can be watched in HD. Which is really how you should be watching this...
I had never heard of this guy until I saw him at Leeds Festival and he was absolutely amazing! So now I am going to listen to (and love) enough of his songs to be able to officially announce myself as a fan
Agree, he was made to be watched live, and he comes across as a downright nice guy to boot :)
I don't know what it is, but this song really has a hold on my heart. Thankyou for the good music Frank Turner!
Dude slays me everytime. And I'm late to the party. But that build to the harmonica part is tears of joy. Every. Time.
You might think that you’re late to the party but at least you got here.
Hahaha i couldnt beleive it when this was played live at the opening ceremony!! Frank was class :)
Man, I didn't think so many people would be rooting for wfnx. This song really does bring people together!
Heard this loads recently around the place, decide to look it up and its only got 457,944 views?? This song is waaay underrated!! x

Such a nostalgic song, even after years of not listening bits of the tune got stuck in my head
