I am one of those kids, its crazy to think how long ago this was but still feels like yesterday and was incredible to be a part of this. some day i hope to tell my kids about this
My Da's your age and we still exchange songs. If yer boy has appreciation for Frank, odds are because you turned him onto a similar sound, and he thought it'd appeal to you in return. Keep sharing and keep growing, but never grow up
I'm pushing 50, worked my way to a level of success that surprises me every day, and raised three outstanding kids alongside my amazing wife of 27 years. . . and thanks in part to Frank Turner, I still won't sit down, shut up, or grow up. Every time I see that this song sits in my kids' playlists, I know I've done something right.
I remember him playing this; the whole crowd was singing along, shouting and cheering and Frank was smiling away and playing. It's great to see an artist enjoying himself, having that connection with his audience and letting the music speak for itself.
Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls performed at RiotFest 2012. I was 16 years old and my friends all left in different directions and I found myself in the middle of Humboldt Park, Chicago, lying in the middle of a field of grass surrounded by a thick crowd and these guys playing up onstage. So I tossed down my Chrome messenger bag and laid with my head on it and listened to them play. And for some reason that moment sticks out in my head really hard.
Seeing Frank all alone is the way to do it. I've gone three times by myself now. The first was because some friends who had tickets had to bail at the last minute. I went anyway and realized it's way, way more fun to fly solo and just enjoy the experience with the new friends you inevitably make around you.
Imagine, 10-15 years from now, some of those kids are gonna tell their friends; "I was in a Frank Turner music video once" And their friends will be jaleous
Yesterday (3.10.2010) he visit my City ( Poznań in the middle of Polnad ) That was koncert for less then100 people. Amazing music, great time, magnificent Frank!! Frank Turner - thank you for this. We love you !!!!!
In 12 and I've loved frank for bloody 2 years and am still praying for the time I can go and watch him live its my dream but we can't afford it and its to difficult and im to young for most show but we all need to admit frank and the sleeping souls are bloody amazing 😁😁😁😁😁😌😌😌😌😌😌😌😁😁😁😁😁

Saw him in myrtle beach house of blues on saturday w/ flogging molly. Needless to say, I am now a HUGE fan. Had never heard of him before that and now I can't get enough of his music!
This song reminds me of a simpler time, when you where a kid and everything was knew; you never had to worry about anything and your mum was all ways there to catch you. Always makes me smile :)
Saw Frank at the Cambridge Union two weeks ago; he's such an honest and unpretentious guy, not afraid to be upfront about what he thinks. Reflects in his amazing music.

I got introduced to Frank Turner by my friends in Look Mexico. I wasn't familiar with his music at the time. I am now. All I can say is that he is a genuine gentleman, a down to earth good guy, and an inspiring & moving musician. I'm digging what he does!

Well I guess I should confess that I am starting to get old
All the latest music fads all passed me by and left me cold
All the kids are talking slang I won't pretend to understand
All my friends are getting married, mortagages and pension plans
And it's obvious my angry adolescent days are done
And I'm happy and I'm settled in the person I've become
But that doesn't mean I'm settled up and sitting out the game
Time may change a lot but some things may stay the same
And I won't sit down
And I won't shut up
And most of all I will not grow up
And I won't sit down
And I won't shut up
And most of all I yeah I won't grow up
Oh maturity's a wrapped up package deal so it seems
And ditching teenage fantasy means ditching all your dreams
All your friends and peers and family solemnly tell you you will
Have to grow up be an adult yeah be bored and unfulfilled
Oh when no ones yet explained to me exactly what's so great
About slaving 50 years away on something that you hate
Look I'm meekly shuffling down the path of mediocrity
Well if that's your road then take it but it's not the road for me
And I won't sit down
And I won't shut up
And most of all I will not grow up
And I won't sit down
And I won't shut up
And most of all I yeah I won't grow up
And I won't sit down
And I won't shut up
And most of all I will not grow up
And if all you ever do with your life
Is photosynthesize
Then you deserve every hour of these sleepless nights
That you waste wondering when you're gonna die
Now I'll play and you sing
The perfect way for the evening to begin
Now I'll play and you sing
The perfect way for the evening to begin
And I won't sit down
And I won't shut up
And most of all yeah I won't grow up
And I won't sit down
And I won't shut up
And most of all I will not grow up
And I won't sit down
And I won't shut up
And most of all I will not grow up
