I'm biased as I have this model and love it! My fifth Leon since Mark one way back in 2001!Great to see a review on the diesel model. You get used to the lack of buttons and knobs. Nicer than the golf in my humble opinion 😊 PS I just turn off the lane assist, agree it would drive you mad 🤣
We have the older (2016) leon st Cupra R and I think the older Leon is a better looking car One gripe that you didnt go over is that the heater knobs have disappeared for me its a STUPID idea to dump these items and the screen is to fiddily while on the MOVE
Golf 2.0 150 bhp diesel gets independent rear suspension Leon has torsion beam. That's how the Golf and A3 get the combination of good handling and comfort together.
congratulations great review. could you tell me how the stock sound system feels (not the beats sound)? How many speakers does it have, where are they positioned and the specific or total watts rms? There is who you say 6 speakers who 7 and who 8 and who 9 incredible not even seat from certain answers sometimes says 6 sometimes 7 speakers !!!! Tell us if it has 6 speakers: 2 rear woofers with the tweeters above near the opening absolutely empty and fake, 2 forward woofers plus 2 tweeters. Or 7 crates: as before and an additional central crate hidden on the dashboard? Or 8 with real tweeters behind but without hidden central speaker in front? Or 9 with everything, 5 at the front and 4 at the back? It is absurd not to find this information certain and to find it all but there is only one truth and what is it?
The Golf is bland , boring and ugly. Why do people buy it. Like a box on wheels. Must be badge snobbery. The leon looks much classier. And easing back gently into 17" is definitely recommended. Nice review Anthony...👍
My wife's had a couple of second-hand Leons, including her current 3 door 1.4TSI, absolute bargain from the UK. Thats where they make sense, 2 or 3 years old.
Getin my new Leon next year, going for the Seat Leon 1.5 fr sport dsg
Love these new reviews with all the technical jargon, if don't have USB C cable it's a pain in the arse
@ was joking about his comment in the review

Ah yes we did forget that. It's a bit tricky alright. You do get used to it but it's far from ideal.
Nice car... Certainly looks a lot better than the new Golf
@John Foxton ah yeah.. The new golf is nice. I have a 172 golf but I just can't justify spending money on a new one. It's too similar to what I have
Great intro...love your presenting style
Glad you like it

Starbursts...a great metric
Jelly Tots are just too messy.
Definitely looks better than the new golf
When you doing the giveaway?
Tehe styling is very Mazda esque.
Orange is the new red... sportier, yes.
I got the 1.4 phev 201 bhp. Not bad for my first car
Why didn't you mention the adaptive cruise control?? I've tested driven the automation petrol hybrid and found that acc a major game changer..
Will you get to review the new cupra versions (estate) looks good
Hopefully! It certainly does look good.
6" *0,305 = 1,83m

Has that particular car been rented from Hertz??
Does it still have the under driver seat storage? Love that feature.
I'm not sure but I don't remember seeing it.
How much REVs at 120KKM/H ?? thank you ;)
I think between 1500 and 2000.
Yup...looks exceeds the golf 8. The 'C' pillar needs a redesign - too big and always odd looking. The seat looks nicer than the A3 s-line...
No ! The best in class is the Mazda 3, the Leon is surely in the top 3 !
Just by a usb adaptor instead of a new phone...job sorted
Can you get someone to review some cars from the point of view of a disabled driver??

Fine car, this will be at most airport car hire companies in Uk/Ireland, but would you buy one with your own money, nope

You give out about usb-c which is way way faster and much better tech. Just buy a lead you cheap skate 😅😅. Good review all jokes aside
Just put reproduction speed on x1.5 and than it is ok. Man, he is slooow-mooo
Seat should sue cars Ireland
Lost me at radical
