So to be clear on the first shot we manually set out exposure. For what is not moving and then press the shutter again and it will do the rest in camera, thanks for helping us photographers
I came across this by chance. Excellent description and examples. I will be trying out light painting this weekend and more live composite in the near future. Thanks.
Thanks for this. It was very interesting and useful. I have used the LIve Composite a little previously for city photographs and your video inspires me to use it more. The way in which the boat appeared because it bobbed was a good warning. I wish that what we you say about the stars were true for everyone. I live in inner London and seeing stars sufficiently to photograph them is something I miss.
I just ordered my second E-M1 II (used) because I've been tickled with this camera series. Livecomp and Liveview have been a bit of a mystery to me, even after watching several tutorials but THIS one is like an Eureka moment. Thank you tons! Also, this is my first intro to SheClicks. I'll be back!
I know this is an older video but wow great explanation on the Em1, i love to light paint and astrophotography. And am now looking into an Olympus purchase.
I’m a newbie to SheClicks so catching up on podcasts and webinars. This was really interesting. Now I’ve just upgraded my TG 870 to the TG 6 which I use for shooting B-Roll and I wanted the 4k quality, ( nothing wrong with the older Tough camera , it’s been a real workhorse) but after you were talking about Live Conp and pro capture, I’ve just had a look and it has those capabilities albeit on a lesser level than the OM , so I’m going to have to try it it out. I’m a canon girl but I have to say after this webinar and the work Andy Rouse does, I’m seriously considering changing my whole system. I think this will afford me much more creativity. Thanks for a really detailed and informative webinar.
Is there a place to find the meta data for how many times a livecomp image was exposed. The data just read 60 sec f/5.6 ISO 1600 and camera data. Not that it was repeated 30 or 45 or 60 times... Thanks!!
There is an amazing photo with the title "Shooting Traffic Trails With Live Composite" taken by Mike Boening. It looks like he has zoomed during live composite. Is that possible?
Hello! Thank you for this wonderful video; I've just subscribed for more! One quick question regarding Live Composite: can you control the length of time IN BETWEEN each shot in the composite? So, it would take my 10sec shot, then wait say 20sec before taking the subsequent 10sec shot, for the duration of the composite...Thank you and all the best!
Very good tutorial on Live Composite use. I think Clare suggested using the EVF instead of LCD to conserve battery life during long sessions such as star trails. But Robin Wong says it's the opposite, that EVF is more power hungry than LCD. Does Olympus have data/info to decide?
@@michael-mvtd I understand as part of the video sheclicks had to back Clare without even mentioning Robin. Those of us who watch Robin a lot (and trust him) can make our own mind up.
As a former press photographer I never had an issue making the tea for my colleagues in the office. I would often bring in a homemade cake that I had prepared the night before, usually on a Friday. And I certainly didn’t moan about it years later.
got into photography about 2 years ago or so.. bought a sony... the menus and layout is kinda confusing and not fun to use.. I've been looking into olympus.. i can't seem to find anyone to loan me one to see if i will like it before just going out and bought one and some pro lens.. its a good amount of money.. i would be really interested in trying one out someday... they look great..
I’m not sure where are you located but Olympus has the Test & Wow service implemented in several countries. With this service you get an Olympus for free for a couple of days so you can test the gear. You’ll love these cameras.
I think the Test & Wow scheme has been shelved in the UK because of the pandemic, but IT'S definitely worth looking into. Most good retailers would let you handle a camera before you buy, but it's not quite the same as being able to shoot with it for a few hours. best of luck @selimsaim
Min. 16: The „Hamburg Railway“ photo is great - but you are completely wrong. It shows the highway next to the Stuttgart Airport. So wrong city and wrong motif :)
Oh yes. I've been into photography since 1993 at age 40. I've sold cameras (film days) photographed for a newspaper (full time, one year) worked in, owned a prolab going from film to digital and had a portrait studio. If it exists, I wish to photograph it. Photography, the hobby that can never be mastered as there is always something new!
I've tried so many different cameras Sony too small Lenses too big I've tried Fuji menu too hard And the cameras hard to hold Other a not a great camera Tried the G9 love that camera if it would Auto focus and I got a ton of Panasonic Glass Then I bought the EM1X Easiest camera I've ever used And the size is perfect for my big hands
Incomplete about Olympus because it does not speak about the trikky parameters like Timer Bulb/Time, Live Composite, Live Bulb and Live Time. Also incomplete do not speak about Starry AF which is an important feature for Star photography. Too long video because it speak only about Light Painting after 42 minutes and the video is lasting 1H23 !!
God Almighty “sorry if I’m repeating myself”? Way too much jibber-jabber made all the more grating by a generous helping of “ahs” and “uhms” and the word “basically”. I decided not to have a drink every time you said “basically”. I would need my stomach pumped.
What a gem of a channel ma'am, brilliant!
Absolutely AMAZING VIDEO !!!! Thank you . New to Olympus., absolutely happy with my OM-1 ❤
Thanks for letting us know. We’re glad you liked the webinar.
Absolutely a first class tutorial. Nothing hidden from these different modes. Really easy to understand. Well done for this.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for letting us know.
Olympus cameras have several features that make other brand users jealous.
So to be clear on the first shot we manually set out exposure. For what is not moving and then press the shutter again and it will do the rest in camera, thanks for helping us photographers

Great presentation of the amazing Live Comp

Very helpful indeed.Thank you ladies!

Excellent tutorial. I use Olympus OMD EM I and loving it. 👍
Thank you for sharing this information
Very clear explained, thank you but am I correct that I cannot use the built in ND filter when using livetime or live composite?
Thanks so much for a very informative session 👌
A great presentation, thank you
Very informative, thank you. My Uni course, Wed night, the tutor stated were doing light trail,s!!
You're welcome. Thanks for commenting. Hope you got some good results!

Fantastic tutorial 👏👏👏
Now, finally I understand. Thank you ;))

Greeting from UAE well done nice work what shutter i need to select for lighting strikes? as I don't know when it will strike
You guys are crazy as I am I just love this, crack on mate
51:11 Just attach a monitor or tv screen to the camera, face it your way and you can see it build up.

Clare is from Olympus so I think her opinion will be the official line.
@@SheClicks I suppose but he's also an 'Olympus Ambassador' so is associated with the co. as well.

teaching one feature in 1 hour 23mins?

I've tried so many different cameras Sony too small Lenses too big
I've tried Fuji menu too hard
And the cameras hard to hold
Other a not a great camera
Tried the G9 love that camera if it would Auto focus and I got a ton of Panasonic Glass
Then I bought the EM1X
Easiest camera I've ever used
And the size is perfect for my big hands
I search for an hour for bulb mode in the menu on my em1 X
Set it to manual exposure mode and adjust the shutter speed, making it slower and slower until you get to bulb mode.
Battery grip.

About four times longer than it needs to be.
I hope you patented the shit out of this new technology
