    Thanks!!!!!someone finally shooting at night. I swear every other f video where there like...were gonna see what device supresses the flash best but they shoot it at 2pm in f Arizona. Thank you for doing this at night. ....Holy shit!

  • @SCOTTEDM
    @SCOTTEDM Год назад +68

    The Warden was not made to reduce flash signature but to redirect energy and sound forward away from the shooter and his mates in a prone, CQB or indoor range situation. If you are in a field at night (take it off haha), use your SF 3-prong and a SF fast attach suppressor if you have one. I use that exact setup on my 13.7.

      @@anthonyblend9917 Exactly, it does work well and using that alone noticeably reduces weight. Ultimately people can do what they want of course.

      It is but was replaced during Vietnam War after it kept getting caught up, snagged on everything while troops were moving in the jungle. But its design hiding flash is superior plus it’s a weapon in itself too with those mean prongs.

    thank you! I was really curious about the flash signature on the warden w a 16in barrel. I've only ever seen them on short barrels, which expectedly made fireballs, but I figured it might be better on a longer barrel. I was also hoping the warden might do something to actually reduce flash on longer barrels, but as you showed, the warden still increases flash signature substantially. Too bad, really can't be dealing w NFA shit at this point in my life

    • @Mr.Clipazine
      @Mr.Clipazine  Год назад +4

      Absolutely, three prong rocks on everything. When running 300 blackout, especially subsonic, there is very little powder to burn and you don’t get a whole lot of flash. I recommend a three prong on all battle rifles.

  • @j.crizzle8942
    @j.crizzle8942 Год назад +3

    Only 3 shots so hard to know, but the Warden likely suffers from the same as a can & even the 3 prong, of “1st round pop”. Where there’s too much fresh, oxygenated air in and around the device, it’s gonna burn. The 3 prong even did it (to a MUCH lesser extent) on 1st shot.
    So I wonder if you had kept going, if that warden would hide super well, or toss fireballs every 5-6th shots…

    • @jasonluna2280
      @jasonluna2280 3 месяца назад

      The ping sound goes away the more you shoot. It needs carbon buildup on the prongs to stop the sound. It only happens on virgin muzzle devices. Might went away around the 700 round mark

    This is exactly what I was looking for thank you 🙏🏻. Suppressing flash is huge for me and suppressors are super expensive. Shame about the warden though, I saw it on SFs website and it looked cool and was wondering if it suppressed the flash at all but all the videos I’ve found on YT were not at night

    • @jasonluna2280
      @jasonluna2280 3 месяца назад

      This is not a flash suppressor! This is a blast mitigation device and training aid for suppressors but this really helps with indoor ranges as well as concussive blast outside and actually really helps with precision shooting while prone and helping to stay and get back on target quicker. This is a non NFA tax stamp item which if it was a suppressor you’d need to apply for the tax stamp to buy one

    3 prong is king, but maybe shoot the sure fire some more? Idk anything about it, but if you ever shoot suppressed just know the first shot will be the loudest and may even flash. Warm up the suppressor with the first shot especially in cold weather.
    Maybe same for the surefire? Yes I know thats ridiculous and voids the entire point of the flash hider.
    Yall may not like this but has he shot the surefire prior to this video and got everything out of the new cone? That could contribute to the giant fireball.
    Long story short, 3 shots aint enough, we just need a lil more

    Useless demo. Your video frame rate was too slow to capture the flashes. A much better video on flash hiders is from the “Condavour Talks Guns” channel which used high speed and IR cameras to show differences in flash hiders. Upgrade your video equipment if you intend to do more technical videos.
