- Sorry we've been so out of action for a few weeks. Been insanely busy with work stuff! Haven't had the time at all to make content.

Sorry it's been so long since we released any videos. Mustard and I have been absolutely swamped with work related stuff and haven't had the free time available to make new content. We've been commentating the Quake World Championship which has required a TON of preparation.
We haven't forgotten about you all and will be back to making regular content soon!
PNDK&M it you don't mind my asking, what do you guys do for work? is it nrs related or do you guys have like a day job? im genuinely curious lol
We work for ESL full time. Commentary is our primary job within the company, but we do a lot behind the scenes as well.

Can you guys work on a "how to play with Grodd" tutorial with OmegaK? He played EXTREMELY well with him and that would really help us Grodd players get better too. There aren't really any tutorials out there that go in depth with Grodd. If you can, we would really appreciate it 😁

Finally someone who is using Grodds trait! I've seen very few Grodds but even fewer who uses his tech. I've looked his trait up before and it is very useful if you know when to activate it and what.

I know I'm nowhere near as good as Ketchup, but if anyone wants to see more of OmegaK's Grodd, I have a set on my channel.
Brainiac's MB tendril thrash does considerable damage and is unblockable. I recommend trying to utilize it more/end combos with it. You could have made quick work of a jumping player like Grodd if you had used it just a couple times.
Y'know, the more and more I am seeing Grodd, the better he seems to get. This character is just so silly. Of course, I still think he needs some changes, but for now, the few that play him seem to be doing work.
FortunePayback i play grodd he definitely not shit but not at all easy like those stampede cancels omegak does they are hard as fuck he is the only one I've seen do them consistently and he also has gaps in his 22 and 112 strings

how do you rebind your trait for Brainiac? I've found it being on 4 is super inconvenient mid-combo. is it better on a shoulder?
System settings from your PlayStation or Xbox menu. Swap Cirlce or B button input for a bumper of trigger input.
I know HOW to change bindings, I was just wondering if he had a specific replacement one that he liked

How do I get to the level of play that you guys are at? What would you say are the main reasons you're so good at fighting games?
Hamzah Mohammad it really is just practicing and studying the game. Learn the pros and cons of characters, spacing, and practice is really it

Hamzah Mohammad knowledge gets you that far best way to enhance your gameplay is learning discipline of sometimes just blocking lots of players perform awful when they press buttons at unnecessary times learn matchups a character that suits you and just have fun
Everything the previous guys said but add in watching high level play to that list. It gives you an idea of how the character should be played, how to optimize the damage potential or setup potential, certain conversions that you didn't were possible, and certain moves that are great certain situations.
1) blocking
2) practical combos and mixups you know you rely on in a high pressure environment
3) blocking
So, after Grodd's back 2 are his jumping attacks then unblockable? It seemed like he could do it on an endless loop.
James Darkholme It's not that they are unblockable, they are still in the combo, you can't block out of a combo unless you're Aquaman.
King Harry Ah I see, thanks for the reply :) I've only ever tried the pounce so that he lands behind the opponent as I thought that was the only way to carry on the combo.

omega k's grodd is INSANE haha big ups for you, ketchup, going toe to toe.
Finally I get to see more high level Grodd gameplay. And against another low tier like Brainiac is twice the fun. Hopefully they get better by the next patch along with the other low tiers.
PS 1998 I have to ask, but who's considered low right now?
Chestbumphero Hmm Cyborg, Blue Beetle, Brainiac and Swamp Thing. Swamp Thing is considered to worst character in the game by the majority. And then Grodd and Captain Cold. These 2 are on a limbo, a lot of people say they're mid tier and others consider them as low tier.

Wesley Trabue If you look at their levels in the loading screen, you'll see that Ketchup is Lvl18. When gear is turned off, both levels will scale to 20, regardless of the character's actual level

B1ACK13aron gear was off the levels show was the levels of their characters yes. But in game they were both level twenty. In between matches Ketchups Brainiac is still leveling up so it shows that. But in games it goes to 20

Tech Fro it just loops a number of times until gravity gets too high, similar to any other juggle really.
